I am downloading now. I will try to flash it tonight and give you some feedback.
Yeah, Wifi is not working. I'll have a fix in a bit.
Any luck on a wifi fix?
Yeah, hope to have something here shortly.
It's back up now. WiFi should be fixed.
I will try when I get home.

Downloading now. I have a quick question. That update that it is based on is the update that allowed netflix to work, correct?
downloading now will post when flashed.
Thanks
Yeah it's based off of the 1.22.651.1 update (Android 2.3.4).
Wifi works now but I lost root.

you should always wipe unless youre going to a newer version of the same rom (usually i just wipe all data anyways makes life easier)
Yeah, this ROM is being a *****. Some of my changes from last night didn't make it into this version. I'll up another one tonight. If you've already downloaded it I'll make a patch as well so you shouldn't have to download again.
OK thank you.

Here's the fix: http://www.multiupload.com/0P2RFPGB1V
Uploading a new version now.
I was wondering if you knew how to remove the signal bars and the network name on the lockscreen? The reason why I asked is because I use the view as a wifi device only. It would be nice if you can make it flashable and make it as an add-on/extra for your rom. Thanks for the rom.
p.s. I'm sorry if I'm asking too much.
With the given ok from danutzz, the originator of turboprop (which this is based off of), comes GSM Auto-Script. What this does is sed out the ril/network values in build.prop, replaces them and creates a backup of build.prop. Also extracts/overwrites apns-conf.xml. This of course will ONLY WORK PROPERLY on an AOSP rom.
Enjoy!
PS: The creator of the apns-conf.xml please come forward as I am unsure of whom it is.
The creator has been found! Thank you siulmagic!!
PLEASE ONLY RUN THIS AMON -RA, Have not tested this on any other recovery!
Changelog:
v2
Re-built edify script using specific file extracts instead of directory extracts.
v1
Initial release
Awesome to see this posted .
Special thanks to Neo for providing us with the ril properties to change.
Credit to siulmagic for the original find.
Also, I've used this on twrp 2.3.2.3. The newer versions didn't work.

To be clear, this will allow a rezound running an aosp ROM to run on a gsm network? I had read in the past that the changes wipe data on your phone. Is this still the case? What about reverting back for CDMA Lte use? I am asking in case I want to travel to countries with gsm networks but use my rezound.

You are correct but it doesnt wipe data, GSM AOSP on the Rezound. Should only need a nand backup to restore back to CDMA/LTE.

I don't believe these changes will wipe data, but they do need to be done on a fresh install in order to pickup the new apns and ril settings. From what I can gather, the ril changes basically just force the phone to boot into gsm by default. Thus the phone will be using any gsm carrier apns by default. I don't know about "switching back" to cdma afterword as I don't use a cdma network anymore, but I don't think that's how it works.
Anyone who has a better idea on how the network settings work please feel free to correct me if any of my assumptions are wrong.

I'm on tmobile. I can only pick up edge network, but with some radio edits found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32331786, you can enable hspa with att towers. So far, no luck with tmobile. That might change once they refarm their spectrum, but I'm not in one of those areas to test.

Tested this with infection and it doesn't seem to be working as expected. I'll try to troubleshoot, but it added an extra etc folder to the root directory (not system). Also, it didn't update the build prop. Tried on twrp 2.3.2.3 (working before) and 2.4 and no luck.
I rebuilt the rom zip adding in the prop edits and the apn xml pre-flash and that all worked. Seems like cm10.1 doesn't like anything being flashed before booting. It just kept giving me system crashes.

Just tested it. Seemed to sort of work. It was searching for a sim but said I didn't have one installed. Adding apns is a no go, but I suspect from reading, if I understand correctly, its supposed to be that way.
Does not seem to work with Infection rom yet. Was the issue fixed in v2 ? Does not even show the Cyanogen Mod boot logo - just a plain black screen
i hope someone can get gsm working for infection, as its my only way to use the phone.

I may be a bit off the mark here but on the other roms when GSM is enabled you can navigate to Settings>Data Usage and toggle Mobile Data on/off.. With Infection when the patch is run it doesn't even show the Mobile Data toggle. Don't know if it really means anything but I've noticed this...
Well we know what's not working. Just no idea WHY it's not working. Neo will have a patch out soon, I'm sure. Hopefully we can figure out what's wrong with this and 10.1. Works fine on all other AOSP roms. Both ics and jb. Something to do with 4.2.1 breaks it.

I just hope that at some point, he can add the full floating window kit. It is awesome. I am not asking for anything, just hoping. I love synergy, and glad it is making it to our devices. I tried flashing the rom last night. I picked the full wipe option and it was stuck at 10% for 25 minutes. I remember on the S3 Synergy rom the full wipe option took a long time and that's why I waited so long. I didn't have time to flash with a regular wipe. I'll test out more tonight.

The new minitab rom does the floating window app better than any other rom ive seen. Only a few issues but theyre worth tollerating.
It looks like a nice rom, but synergy has a minimize button, which you can use just like windows, or linux. It is only on the s3 right now, but it is the one option that makes multiwindow beast.

As soon as I see a stable Synergy Ron in the VZW Note 2 development, I will flip my lid. Was my daily driver with my GS3. They're a great number of solid stock TW roms currently for the GN2 but have been waiting for a good rom that adds many of different options/choices such as theirs.
My buddy runs it on his s3 also.I will check it out. I flip from aosp to tw and back like every other day.

I flashed the sprint version of synergy then persus 36 vzw kernel lastly the vzw convert zip from scotty and it booted up fine
I was able to make and recieve calls but only major issues is I don't have data working
When I check the phone status it'll show my number and ime but it doesn't recognize the carrier its listed as unknown
Any way to get data working?
I also tried the sprint jelly bomb rom and most of the things I've tried works. Calls, bt, text , data , cameras.
1 major thing is that data is very slow even tho I have lte compared to other vzw roms I've tried.
Very sweet rom too but can't stand the data being too slow

@mjcollum presents:
MJ4 NATIVE HOTSPOT! (odex/deodex)
This is a working hotspot mod.
Thanks @wwjoshdew for the how-to video!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdC_a5_ehWY
replace services.jar in system/framework.
THIS IS THE DEODEX version.
currently based on freeza's mj4 deodex stock rooted services.jar (thanks @freeza)
mod based off JoshBeach's previous work http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481448 (thanks @JoshBeach)
it appears the offsets had changed preventing the mi5 version from running. hopefully this fixes that. it appears the new offset is at line 6680.
THE VERSION IN THIS POST IS FOR STOCK ROOTED DEODEXED MJ4 ONLY! SEE POST BELOW FOR ODEXED VERSION
ODEX VERSION:
for those who don't want the screen animations or other tweaks,
this is a stock odex mj4 with the hotspot activated.
not a flashable zip. unzip.
works while keeping knox 0x0
just use a file explorer or adb to copy files into system/framework.
make sure r/w permission for /system is set.
rename old files or make backup first.
Edit.
If renaming the old files you must change the ending or your phone will hang.
So file.end becomes file.end.bak
Or file.old or whatever.
Services.jar to services.jar.bak is ok.
Services.odex to services.odex.bak is ok
Not fileback.end
Services.jar to servicesbak.jar is not ok and will hang your phone.
If you leave the .jar or .apk or.odex on your orig file it will still try and load. Causing a bootloop.
This can be fixed with adb. Look at pages 5/6
I'll give it a shot and report my findings.

Thank, for this! I'm in an area, with barely enough data bandwidth to reply to this post, so I can't test, until a little later.
You know, it would have been ridiculous, for you to have to download the entire rom, just for that one file. I don't understand how you can offer to help, but no one else wants to offer, just the tiniest bit of support, for something THEY requested.
Again, thanks!

Hey everyone. I have attempted to build a working flex ROM for Verizon g2. Had a bootable ROM but had no working 4g data. Attempted to make ROM work with appropriate files to get data working but now it won't boot. Why. I don't know. I have asked for help from other builders for all the other variants with no response from them except for a very general point in the proverbial direction to no avail. @MicroMod777 of the awesome digital dream ROM in the Verizon forum has assisted me as well as @krazie1. @T.C.P and @Jeff Zaugg. I don't even have my bootable base anymore. Forgot to make copy before I started modding it to get data working. Unfortunately I got work tomorrow. If I can get an uploaded bootable ROM then I can work on what isn't working. Sure wish there was a android kitchen for lg g2 to attempt doing this the way I would prefer. Plus this is effectively the first ROM in which I am doing this. Usually just editing and modding other Roms for myself. Hope I'm not biting of more than I can chew.

We started with a flex ROM and changed boot img libs/modules. Etc /permissions pertaining to Verizon also a build prop edited for it. Basically got a booting ROM with no data. Originally that was with tangjuns ROM. Then I tried starfighters and couldn't get it to boot. Now one of us is trying rayglobe. But we would defiantly love to have your help to get this off the ground. I asked in your thread about a Verizon version of aeon flux. Just trying to get some of these great Roms for our phones. Some of you said you were having trouble getting the flex Rom to boot.
These are the steps i've taken:
In Android Development there is a thread by Tangjun269.
On page 13 of thread is a rom called Flex_Rayglob.zip 952.3 mb
I downloaded this rom it's got Gapps baked in and has the ugly black around the icons removed witch I think looks better.
I use root explorer to extract rom then I replaced these items from any one (your choice) of the stock rooted 12b builds in the Verizon section:
Extracting each one from 12b and dropping into extracted flex rom.
Boot.ing
META-INF
etc/apns-conf.xml
Lib/modules
Now zip rom, boot into recovery back up and flash.

No go tried contacts and phone.
if we can get these two jars to framework and actually boot, it might work.
/framework/com.verizon.settings.jar"/>
/framework/com.verizon.phone.jar"/>
everytime i flash them, or push them, the phone wont boot :/
I think we might have more luck if we disabled signature checks. That might be causing issues of being able to switch the apks over. I don't remember if you disable this In android policy.jar or services.jar
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
