Introduction:
This is a continuous work from Dzakus' great work. I thought that was a really great project. However, the developer Dzakus stopped working on that. So I forked his project and made improvements.
And this is also an Open Source project. You can find all the code in GitHub. For bug reports and feature requests, please post them in the GitHub Issues page.
Write a review.

Could you logcat it? Cause I have no idea why it generate an FC for your device.
I'm too getting the message of app has stopped. Though I'm getting the display on the statusbar.

Hi,
first of all thanks for improving this very useful module.
Would it be possible to get an option to hide decimals? This would be absolutly great. Whether the transfer speed is 100kbps or 100.3kbps is really no difference
Also when an app dimms the screen (half-hiding navigation and status bar - hope you know what I mean, else I can send you a screenshot) all the text and icons in statusbar are dimmed but the speed indicator isn't. Hope you could change that.
Nice! I was disappointed when development ceased on the original version. Thanks for carrying the torch.
Its user interface also FC's on my S4, though stuff displays properly in the status bar.

Sorry for that. I found the bug and fixed it already. Check v0.2. It should work now.
ps: It's really weird that my phone did not force stop for the first release.

Requires Xposed Framework!
Hello!
Circular feature is now working
I've managed to update MohammadAG's module.
Tested it on devices running Android 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.4.2 and 5.0.1 by myself. Received reports it works also on ICS (thank you @Prasad98) on Marshmallow (thank you @frankie1220) and even on Oreo!
And so, this module should work on any device running from ICS to Oreo. Yes, the module is working on Oreo (resource replacement, on Xposed Installer, needs to be active or it won't work on devices running Lollipop or later ROMs).
Please make sure to have your system animations speed set to 1x (system settings, not the module settings...).
Download the module latest version from HERE

How does this module work?
This modules hooks into android progressbar class, then it looks for the drawable used for it's indeterminate state.
From ICS to KK, if the drawable type is AnimationDrawable, it means that the indeterminate progressbar is horizontal, therefore it get's the default drawable replaced by an user customized instance of Castorflex's smoothprogressdrawable. On the other hand, if the drawable type is AnimatedRotateDrawable (the Gingerbread ones...) or LayerDrawable (ICS+), it means the indeterminate progressbar is circular, therefore it get's the default drawable replaced by an user customized instance of Castorflex's circularprogressdrawable.
On Lollipop, both progressbars (horizontal and circular) use AnimatedVectorDrawable type. And so, since I could not distinguish which progressbar I could replace the drawable, I've made a workaround using Xposed resource replacement feature. And so, on Lollipop, all drawables used for progressbar bars are replaced by the ones used on ICS+. By doing this, the module is now able to distinguish which progressbar is called by the system and it then overrides the drawable using the same criteria I've mentioned above.
Having this said, and since all is being hooked into the default android AOSP code, if a device has a lot of modifications introduced by it's manufacturer, it may cause this module to not work flawlessly.
All devices I've came across are very close to AOSP ROMs, and so, in order to get this 100% on all manufacturers it would imply a lot of testing and debugging for each manufacturer.

And that's exactly what I've done. I've learned everything by myself simply by following tutorials and the source codes everyone, mentioned before, was kind enough to distribute. So, yeah, I think I deserve some credits as well...that, and a beer.
PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU'RE COMING FROM VERSION 1.3.*:
You won't be able to update mohammadag previous module version, nor install over it since the signature is different.
And so, if you're currently using mohammadag's version (Versions 1.3.* and bellow still available for download on Xposed Framework download feature) you must:
1 - Disable the current module version on Xposed Framework.
2 - Uninstall previous version
3 - Reboot
4 - Install new version
5 - Activate and reboot
Older version and original post (by MohammadAG):
This module replaces the default ProgressBar indeterminate animation with a much smoother one.
No videos or screenshots, try and you'll see the difference.
Compatibility:
Tested on 4.2.2, may probably work everywhere else.

So from your screen shot...would you say it makes the blue progress bar...segmented?
Also, what is the app that places all the technical info about your device? (eg cpu freq, temp)

A screenshot won't do, this basically uses a higher FPS progress bar.
Here's a gif demonstrating it.
There's also a video, but due to recording framerate it's not visible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qt4lvQmY0F0
Basically, install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.castorflex.android.smoothprogressbar.sample&hl=en
The first is the old style, the third is what this mod does.
They're identical if you have the mod activated.
@MohammadAG
Can't we have different styles to choose from? That would have been awesome.

I agree
I'd like to report a bug. When there is a progress bar in a notification, the scrolling speed increases every time I close and reopen the notification shade, to the point where it's just going insanely fast. (I think it took 27 pulls to get the speed to loop back entirely.)
I'm not sure if this happens for all apps that use the progress bar in a notification, but it's currently happening for me with Easebackup on stock KitKat 4.4.1 on a Nexus 4.

Bad luck for me. I loose a lot of cell signal. I have to uncap battery door to receive a little and even like this it's difficult. Signal is fast ramdom, but phone don't move and weather perfect. And i'm trying to revert to any other rom which works perfect , it's the same. No app Install just flash ROM and/or gapps, whatever i do nothing changes
the only sad thing is: navbar is very buggy in AOSB which i use allot. No prbs regarding signal though

I don' t think its the rom.
Phone companies seemed to have gained full control of our signal.
They can give you full data or throttle you down to edge at their will.
Heavy data users are punished regardless of what you are paying for.
They keep losing lawsuits over throttling but it still must be profitable for them to keep doing it.
Some of the tricks that used to work like setting your data limit to 99GB don' t work anymore.
I am giving serious thought to dropping data and just use wifi.
I think when they rolled out 4G and retrofitted all the towers, it was impressive to get these speeds.
Now that most customers have signed onto to it, they have implemented their data controls to squeeze out the most profit possible.
I believe it was their plan all along.

I don't know
Just guessing as I have no inside information but perhaps the first week of June 2014 was their deadline on using this technology which coincidentally matched the time you flashed.
I monitor my data speeds and ever since June hit the throttling has been unbearable.

None of the features seem to be working for me. On a stock 5.0.1 Nexus 5 with Google Play Music version 5.8.1836R.1787745. I rebooted after making changes in the module's interface, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Thanks for the logs. Your devices have all the same problem that the classes cannot even be loaded by Xposed.. That's extremely strange, but I will look what could be wrong. I'll install the release version of my mods to test, too. Currently I still use the debug version..
Maybe proguard messes up some Xposed related stuff. I'll use the proguard config file of my other module instead of the default config for next release and see if it helps.

Do you think you would be able to solve the issue of the sdcard stored tracks sorted in the wrong order in the playlists of the GPM app?
Some links talking of this issue:
http://productforums.google.com/for...video$20-videos/play/hXvN2I6CR48/NhDtzbPgXwYJ
http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/50425/wrong-playlist-order-in-google-play-music-app

http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/help/google-play-music-app-wrong-song-t2390804
This bug is incredibly annoying, it hasn't found any solution from Google since 3 years. It seems to come from the music storage algorithm used by the GPM app itself which totally messes up the order of playlists at each opening of the app. For some reason, GPM app does'nt use the music storage database of Android like any other music players do.
I don't really know how complex it could be to solve this, I'm just curious to get your opinion. If you think it could be solved easily with your Xposed module, I can't wait for it!

I'm in a total rush, THREE releases on one day
EDIT: well, I meant rush and not rage… it's not easy Did I mention that v1.2 also make the previously ugly overflow button black to fit the other icons?
this mod is so great, now that it's working wonderfully. can you remove the thumb up / down from the widget? stop the Now Playing "Card" from popping up upon opening GPM? donate? thanks you! the EQ in NOW PLAYING is a dream cone true, i think i said to myself just the other day i wish there was a quicker way to Viper4Android YOU F'n ROCK
After seeing Contextual Lenox Header on the frontage few days ago, I remember the days when I enjoyed Carbon ROM Contextual Status Bar, however I had to drop their ROM eventually because they were slow at releasing (KK/Lollipop can't remember which), at the time I looked for a way to bring the feature back, but i was an early novice for that, but now after seeing Lenox header on the frontapage, I was inspirited to do just that and so, I present "Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Bar Header"

yes, support for own time based images is something I'm considering, and I have thought about weather based solution as well.
supporting both should be a relatively easy task, if you can get me away from my PS4 (weather is now a built in feature of SystemUI, I could steal forecast report from it to display the appropriate picture.... to bad mine will always be dull/rainy days)
Edit:
on Weather on Marshmallow at least.
so can anyone confirm if weather in the status bar was a built-in feature in ASOP and not added by CM and also if it's in lollipop or Marshmallow only.
Edit2: weather seems to be a CM feature, anywho, it shouldn't be that hard to get the weather, when i consider adding this in.
Thank you,
Works on M 6.0 Stock, LG G4
But the header is a litle small.
option to change the images would be awesome

I expected something like that to happen with OEM ROMs, if you can upload your systemUI.apk i can have a look at the layout when i get the chance.
Edit: should say, the only solution would be to display a bigger picture overlaying the rest of the menu, which wouldn't really be an ideal solution :/
Let me know if you need a tester bro. Im ready to help!

As someone else pointed out, it would be nice to be able to choose pictures.

Some things in mind.:
-material weather/scenery image which changes according to time of the day like sunrise noon and sunset
-default option to just choose a personal image
Looks great and hoping for more development.

Do the necessary wipes and flash the ROM.
No wipes are needed between updates from Descendant itself, unless specified.
Listing all the additions would be a huge wall of text, that you wouldn't even read.
So, head over the Telegram group and feel free to lurk.

Google Apps are included.

Current TWRPs builds available are unable to decrypt 12 /data partition.
You can either use DFE zips (discouraged) to decrypt /data and make it readable or wait for a TWRP build capable of decrypt /data itself.
Having data encrypted isn't really a big deal if you plan to sideload ROMs and whatever zip you might need.
But it's your call !

The matters regarding our download serving methods have been addressed directly by me with @MikeChannon multiple times over 10 and 11 Descendant's android cycle.

Nice to see another A12 rom for this device. Does it support OTA?
Solid ROM. Thank you!!
Hi, the page for bugs is not working so I'm asking here:
When I plug in some headphones wired or bluetooth the system freezes. It solves by plugin out the headphones.
Anyone with the same bug? I cannot listen to music.
### Edit: Solved.
The problem was Google App. I had to update to the last Play Store version.
I found some minor problems in the ROM that needs to be improved:
1. The Notification menu is not smooth, sometimes it hangs with nothing appearing when swiping down.
2. The touch-sensitive is not good as MIUI. Sometimes, I need to touch two times to the icon to open the app.
Very nice to see A12 Descendant voor Poco X3. After I've passed the 168 hours waiting time (to unlock bootloader) this will be the first rom to install. Thanks devs!
