[Q] Move Apps to SDcard without ROOT - Samsung Galaxy Mega

Hy!I installed the latest update for my samsung galaxy mega and I think that I did the biggest mistake because the update comes with KNOX.I've seen that samsung enabled the option to move apps to sdcard but the apps are not entirely moving to the external storage.So...my question is if I have any possibility to move apps to the external memory without rooting my device.

[Q] Applications in Android (2.3) phones

Hello!
I need to know how android phones handle applications being installed in them?
I didn't know if this is phone specific or software specific, so am posting it in both.
I own a Samsung Ace and hope to own an Xperia Play as well.
Now if I install an application, how can I make sure it goes to the SD card instead of the phones internal memory?
For example:
I recently installed Talking Tom Cat 2 on my Ace, when I opened it the first time, it asked me to download a few more files, only when I did I was able to use the application. After that I uninstalled the application using the Task Manager. But where do I delete the other package, or does it get deleted automatically?
Please reply soon.
Thanks.
In some cases it's phone specific and others, it's software specific. Before I explain this, the answer to your question about if the data is deleted automatically, is: for some games/apps, it is, and others, it's not. The data is usually stored on the sd card so you can check to see if you see a folder which was not there previously. Data for games are usually stored directly on the sd card, or the following folders: data/data, android/data, or gameloft/games. Phone's without an sd card slot will have the directory created for the data storage. Phone specific wise is explained in my previous sentence. Software specific wise is of course based on software. Certain roms allow you to choose the default location for apps to be installed to. On stock roms, apps are usually (if not always) installed directly to the internal memory and if the software is Android 2.2 (Froyo) or higher, you'll have the option to move some apps to the sd card.

[Q] Install manager

I found this app Install Manager in the Android Market which claims to be able to force move internal memory apps to sd card without using a second partition.
https://market.android.com/details?...251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5iZWlkbC5jaG9vc2Vsb2MiXQ..
Has anyone tried this app??
Is this possible?
Is it safe to use this app?
Can it move complete apps to sd or in parts?
SGA 2.3.4 DDKQ5 rooted
It is possible
Of course it is safe
I havent used this app,but i dont think this app moves them completely to sd-card.For moving apps completely to sd-card,an sd-card partition. This sort of movement is just the move, you find when you root your phone or when you use the force install command which does not require root

[Q] System apps to SD Card via Link 2 SD

Is it possible to move the system apps to sd card using link2SD ?
No. You can convert system apps to user apps then move them. At your own risk...
Yea
If you have a rooted phone and realy want to force your phone apps to be moved on sd storage you may be successfull but than you dont have any guarantee that they´ll work as they should because in some case it is evident to be on phone storage
Further it may cause system crashes if the sd card is dismounted or interrupted in some way because the system in system apps means that they´re workin on the system =)
Hi. My question is:
I have copy all the .apk from \system\app of my mobile. Can I uninstall these one with link2sd and after that run the apk from my saving to force them via link2sd to install on a partition from sd card ?
And in the apk there is some system apps (ok for google apps like youtube).
Thanks in advance for your replies.
dont. it will brick your phone
Which is the best and EASIEST program to do that on rooted mobile phones?

Unable to move 3rd party apps to external sd

am unable to move any of my 3rd party applications from phone memory to external sd. I have checked the application apk file and the install location is set as auto, still am not able to move. Is this known issue in S3?
Thanks

As Far i Know there are few options but App2SD will not work as S3 has different mappings to external SD , there is a app which creates SymLink which can be used to move large folder out of internal to external card
Search for it in the forums

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
App to SD is a 3rd party software, thats fine, but when we got to settings application manager and open any one of the installed applications, we will have an option to move apps to extrernal SD. even that is being disabled in S3.
If moving applications from internal memory works on other phones like sony,HTC and even in samsung S2, Galaxy note etc, why it is not the same in Samsung Galaxy S3.
Note : ICS 4.0.4 is installed in my Samsung Galaxy S3. I have checked few other mobiles like Samsung Galaxy note, Samsung Galaxy S2, Sony Xperia Ion etc which has ICS 4.0.4 installed. In all the mentioned phones am able to move installed applications from Internal memory to external SD.
All i wanted to know is moving applications from internal memory is a core andriod feature or not. (if am correct this was released in Android 2.2). If it is a core android feature then why samasung doesnt provide that feature in Samsung Galaxy S3 alone.
Expecting your reply.
Thanks
Balaji

[Q] Those App2SD apps won't work on my Samsung Galaxy Victory (Android 4.1.2). How...

...do I force the apps to move to the SD card anyhow (and still have them work as before?)
I also would like a list of apps recommended not to move so I don't move them by mistake.
Having only 1.83GB available is getting on my nerves and I'm not getting used to it.
My last phone - Sony Ericsson Xperia Play had allowed moving to SD card so I wish all other Android phones would too.
So how do I disable whatever barrier prevents app-moving, and finally get them moving to my SD card?
I already rooted the phone, and TWRP doesn't allow me to select the tickbox to "Mount SD Card." I already partitioned it to get it ready to mount.
if u force to sd, app should work well except some widgets...Install Rom tool box, there u get an option where to install app Internal/sd/auto...
