i bought a new battery of ERD(a company) a few days ago
i charge my battery to 100% but at 50% it drains rapidly n phone turns off in 5 mins
i tried rebooting when battery was at approx 75% n it showed approx 25% after reboot
it works only 6 hours on wifi
i dont have time to wait for full drain n full recharge without doing any **** after calibrating it
if i dont use wifi it is able to run phone for approx 17-18 hours but still drains after 50%
i am on canvas 4 rom for canvas hd
any suggestions ?

I too faced battery draining so fast from 30% - 15%. And i used to charge my phone twice a day.!!!!
All i did is i changed my ROM and wiped my battery stats VIA ROM TOOL BOX...and then my problem was solved

work fine and my battery 80% for example and then while i am working it drains suddenly to ~ 30 or 20%
and then i close every thing and put my phone in standby mode and check it again after 10 mins, it returns back to 70% charging !!!
tested again when the battery about 20% it drains to 4% and then raises to 18%
this error occurs after i updated to official ics
i did wipe battery and nothing new !

From last 3 days battery drain of my Micromax Canvas HD A116 has been tremendous especially at night in standby mode. Before I go to sleep at around 12:30 a.m When I check the battery it's between 40% - 50% and when I get up at 7 a.m in the morning just to find the cell has got switched off. The drain is so heavy that it doesn't even power up for the alarm. In the attached pic you can see the complete drain marked in red color and the cell standby and phone idle are the highest battery consumer.
Previously I thought it was BBM messenger which is the battery consumer so I removed it but in vain as the problem still continues. Kindly help as what I need to do to resolve this problem.
Device: Micromax Canvas HD A116
ROM: JB 4.2.1
Service Provider: Reliance Communication
Network Mode: 2G/3G
Data Connection: ON

Problem looks to be with 4.4 apps like hangout etc. , read in some place. Recollect once if on same time line you installed these?

Well I really don't think the drain is due to application as if you see in my previous screenshot I am charging the handset and by 12:30 in afternoon I charged it completely to 100%. That charge last for almost 12 and 1/2 hour without any recharge as you can see in the current screen shot attached even after 11 hours battery was at 47% and then some what near 35% it made a steep drop to 15%(strange) and then it lasted for like an hour or so. Beside that my data connection was continuously on and all sync was on. My talktime was of 4 hour in that period and yet it sustained also gaming to some extent like for 20 min. or so and again in night was connected to my wifi yet it survived this huge load.
So around 1 am in midnight it got drained completely and then I put it on charge in switched off mode, at around 4:45 am in morning I removed it from charge with battery completely charged(100%) and then I switched it on and went back to sleep. After 2hr i.e. at 7 am when I woke up the battery went down to 89% without a single use(I didn't even unlock the phone after I switched it on) almost 11% battery drain is seen in stand by mode and that's the point of concern.
So one thing is for sure the drain is not because of any application also in last few days it's my observation that the place where I keep my mobile used to be covered properly under HSDPA n/w and always use to have H or H+ as the network symbol but now it shows E and it might be switching to and fro and I guess that might be the one reason for the drain.
Kindly share your view on this and also your guidance if you have any

I had the same issue except, in my case when it reached 25%, it dropped very quickly. So I calibrated my battery and its working fine now. This app is available in play store free of cost but you have to rooted to use it.

After using that much months i am facing a weired problem my dropped after 50% to 30% very fast then 30% to 15% very very fast. Some time i have fully charged my battery and when i removed the charger its shows low battery. I correct this problem after removing the battery and reinsert it.
Please tell me any solution of this.

No solution , brother battery is not getting fully charged. It will asy 100% but its atually 60% maax charged

im having a similar batter prob i have set the phone to go off around 11.30PM and on at 5AM the let say the battery is around 70% while going off automatically but then when i comes on in the morning it show around 13% when i off the phone and turn it back on its on 60% funny this happens every day just dont get it
im on stock now no root as i have given the phone to my wife :silly::laugh:

Just enable auto-brightness ,
Firstly Drain your CHD battery to 0%
then without use charge it to 100%(full)
Then just for a day enable Auto-Brightness
2.Try keeping less usage of RAM
3.Remove running apps from Pressing Long Menu button

Overnight the max drain was 3-5 % max but now its like 60-70% overnight and when i wake a up the mobile is hot like its constantly been using. Before i go to bed i clear the ram stop all applications then go to sleep but still drains i even restarted the phone a couple of times still the same

As you are saying that your mobile seems "hot"
First you need to confirm that its charger/device issue or only with battery.
First do battery calibration with this method: (In this method you need custom recovery for your device

IMPORTANT: You can skip this step>> "Wait 20 min after you are sure it is 100% (phone should stay plugged in)" - As i dont know much about LG devices and their batteries
Now some advice from me-
If you can cover it >>> Never charge battery again and again before 15 or 20%
Always charge your battery to 100% at once and use your device till 15% or less than 15% and then again charge it full and so on...
This will make your battery backup good as well for battery life

If you are on a custom ROM, try wiping cache and dalvik and battery stats...could help.

Yes my mobile seems hot and i always try to charge it upto 100%. One more thing does it damage they battery in anyway if you leave the charger on after the battery is full?

According to the Battery Doctor app, you shouldn't leave your phone on charge for more than 9-10 hours(MAX), otherwise it WILL harm your battery.
You should try hibernating some of those apps with Greenify.

Yes, over charge can reduce battery life.
Hey guys I want to know how much of your battery drains in Standby time? In my Redmi 3 it drops 2% per hour no matter which ROM I'm using. Same in Miui, Cm based ROMs. charge also drops 2% per hour even if my phone is switched off.

i am using miui 8 from gkalen.and standby drain is 3% per 7-8 hours. maybe you should change your battery and see if that helps or use some apps that shoe detailed battery stats so that you know whats eating the battery

I think my battery is faulty. Faced same issue on every ROM.

yes i think so too so change the battery and see if that helps you out.
I think that redmi 3's batteries are just low quality ones. I have it from February and now (with CM13 RC1) it lasts lesser than before.
Now when I unplug the phone, I reach 80% like nothing with just 45 minutes SoT. Before I was used to do almost 1h SoT/10%
