I have been looking for a ROM that's Stock, Simplistic, and Battery Friendly! I have just installed and nearly finished configuring to my liking! I will touch base this time tomorrow on my thoughts! Thanks in Advance though!
Hey how do you get the stock messaging app? Hangouts blow!
Testing this on my phone right now, seem so good so far with elementalX kernel, will report if i face any problems

I cant even wait until the end of the night to express my love for this ROM. The Battery Life is Amazing, It's smooth, and after tweaking to my liking It just cant seem to put a foot wrong! I just have 1 question though!....
Can you please release a 4.4.3 version because even though it's stock, the update manager can't seem to find the update!
Thanks again and Well Done!

Thank you Also, I'm not sure if this is a stock feature or one of your own, but in the settings when I click on battery to see the stats, I'm fairly sure it's only showing sot because I've had my device of charge all day and it only says 3 hours? And the blue line under indicates no of screen action???

Not very good battery life on my phone. Kernel elementalX
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
And I'm confident that had nothing to do with this ROM, and everything to do with wakelocks caused by your apps. You should research how to fix wakelocks.

Aroma Gapps work, FM works too, all in all it works just great!
Just don't forget to install Superuser and change "Root access" in the developer options else you won't be able to give apps root access

yes, install is always same, wipe data&cache and install zip. every rom zip formats system, so you dont need wipe system too. i also not recommend wipe system.

Some more things that people might wonder/or not..
- GPS does not work (any workarounds?)
- Photosphere: the one posted on the slimroms homepage doesn't work, however this one on xda works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116851
- WIFI seems to be dropping quite often in quite irregular intervals. Haven't had that with other custom roms yet.
Tried it and went back to "CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20131009-1902-serranoltexx.zip" in less than an hour. I simply did not find a reason to chose slim over carbon. Carbon rom is just so perfect :good::good: Setting layout in carbon is hands down 10x more intuitive. Moreover I noticed that battery drained much faster in heavy use with slim rom in comparison to carbon.

Sure man . I meant no harm. I even donated additional amount to arco68 to show my gratitude for supporting S4 mini LTE. I was not even addressing issues that do not work. Carbon just feels more intuitive and easy to me, and this introduces no over the top features that I need, but its just me .

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
THE DEV TEAM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE
** Please be aware some builds may not work, and be patient with the Vanir team as they continue to sort stuff out **
DIRECTIONS
Boot to Recovery
BACKUP
Wipe System/Data/Davlik/Cache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Wipe Davlik/Cache
Profit!
°°For those flashing custom kernels°°
Be aware- Vanir includes a script that enables their own kernel tweaks. This script does not play well with flashing custom kernels. The solution!
Flash ROM
Navigate to- /system/etc/init.d/
Delete the file- 00kernelcompat
Reboot to recovery
Flash kernel
Profit!
You can also open the ROM zip on your PC before flashing and remove the file from the same directory then flash the ROM and you're good to flash the kernel.
**If you dirty flash between nighties, DO NOT wipe system or data before flashing the ROM. It will wipe gapps and the ROM install script won't be able to restore them**
That said, a clean flash is always recommended

The UI itself.. as the concept mentions.. is it "something else" particulary ? Can we haz some screens?
Funny enough, I went off to Google and tried searching some screenshots.. but I guess "Vanilla Unicorn" is also a strip club on GTA so.. you can guess what came up
Didn't find what I was looking for but I'm not even mad :b

Mad props on this ROM!!! I've been flashing ROM after ROM on my N7 for the last week, trying to find a ROM that had the features I wanted, stability, and speed, but without having too many features or hiccups. You're ROM has all 3 of those things, plus some style lol. I enjoy the light background instead always black. Nothing against black, but the white is a welcomed change. And I love the way the recent apps appear!!! Great job all around man! I'll be sticking with this ROM for a while. Thank you man! [emoji106]

It would be great if you or @aznrice could help me get a Moto G build up. There is some error with the repo sync. Something to do with Telephony. I tried asking in the community, but nobody ever answers me.

Review
Here's a review that @romreviewer did on this ROM. Not much to look at as this build is fairly close to stock as features go. A little extra here and there. Good performance and speed though. Anyways, here's the link. ROM REVIEW LINK

Thanks to the entire Slim team. Couldn't do any of this without them!
Also, thanks goes to @gtctsiamp for making me an OP. I was too lazy to do it lol. Thanks!!!

Finally Robbie's own thread.
Subscribing to this.
I also felt that Slim thread was getting too cluttered to keep a tab of unofficial builds.
All the best.
Thank you dear brother Robbie!!!
Ive been fiening for a fresh new dose of the finest.
Ive got your potent dope coursing through my veins as we speak!! This rom runs perfect! ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!!
I suggest everyone get out their phone-arm and twrp syringe and slam this!!

Your ROM I guess. Most people post screenshots of the ROM. So I was wondering if you had screenshots before I flashed

It's got nova enabled as the default launcher. So if you've ever used nova or apex that's what it looks like out of the box. And it's a slim rom ---> there's no central spot in the settings for added slim tweaks. There are a TON of them, but you get to hunt for them...that's part of the fun

Android Lollipop for Sola using sources provided by Agontuk, so all credits to him. For now nothing works, but we are sure we can make it stable at some point. Any help would be appreciated.
Note: Please don't say "This doesn't work or is it stable for daily use". It's just a preview release so that you can try out lollipop.

Thanks!
But I've just 120mb data left.
Anyway,
I'll be switching back to CM11 soon because I need RIL as I don't have WiFi right now.

With this gapps phone gots boot loop. After all, I'm very good surprised about 5.0 , it's fast, really fast, something about 150 mb free ram, of course, many force closes, once I got random reboot, generally it's good rom, if ril will be works, I can be beta tester, damn I like it also something what impress me, battery saver, I know this is Lollipop part, I really miss about stamina mode in all of the kitkats there, it's interesting, I must test it )

ops! I'm sorry dude, but as said, i can't test until few days, so it was possible that gapps i told to try weren't good for this rom
Anyway if someone found a good one i would like to know the link
Cheers
Using it for almost 10 hours now.
As an alpha build, kudos to devs! :victory:
Bluetooth works good.
Audio works flawlessly.
Wifi got disconnected automatically at a point.
The battery is good. I think its just because of no RIL.
RIL doesn't work. Even a little as mentioned.
As expected, the UI is laggy.
No root access.
There's no lockscreen wallpaper.
And a lot of bugs!
Very eager to try this out. Thanks!
good work bro and many thanks for you keep going to get fully version working in all

:good: Congrats!
Really nice to see, that Sola is still alive and booted in Lollipop.
I'm watching this thread like a hawk! my wife has the Go and apart from it having a low rez screen the phone is damn amazing!!!
awesome to see the phone getting lollipop. just basic AOSP and she'll be over the moon.
many thanks to the dev for the work put in!
Nice to see 5.0 running on my SOLA. Thanks
