Only 4000mAh, $100, no flip cover... Only advantage it has is the stylus. You can just as well spend $35, and get the almost same thing from a Brando... Or spend $25 more, and get the official cover from Sony.
And still no review of the case... tsk tsk tsk ...

Sony cover aside, the Brando **** only kind of works; there's a lot of reports (And my own personal experience) of it just not working or working barely. Mugen's got the consistency if you need more battery life, and Sony's got the quality if you need that cover.

Yeah tell me about it...kind of for sure. Not sure if some people get good ones but mine sucks big time. I am getting a replacement soon and will report if the Brando on is consistently sucky.
The MUGEN is way too expensive though...so i would wait for prices to drop if this "Brando" one fails again.

4000mah that's alot of battery juice ...Is it worth the bulk?
You can get the 3500 mah battery for the same bulk as the 4000.when I first got the battery I still haven't removed it or thinking of that for me it's worth it the bulk that is but for some 55$ is a bit over for a battery price
yeah in that case might as well go with the 4000mah... I should probably upgrade myself still using stock battery...usually last me around 70% of the day
Sorry to drudge this up, but how's the battery holding up? Is the Seidio backplate really as bad of a fit as everyone says it is? I am seriously considering getting one cuz I wanna use my phone all day instead of sparingly.
HTC Evo 3D Custom Battery
Thanks for sharing the story, I currently have the default 1.71 battery and I mean like it lasts for the day with low/moderate usage but it isn't enough for me. How much did you pay this battery and where can I purchase it from? :good:

This battery is extremely well. That extra 500 of juice as proven itself useful.
As far as the size, people will get over it. I had a few buddies comment on my phones size and I kindly tell them I wasn't blessed with small hands like them, so to me, it's not big.
Bottom, the price tag for the battery and full package protective case has already paid itself off in my last convoy. Dropped while I was loading up cargo on the deuce and a half and it didn't shatter. When I was in the field, I had the only working cell phone pass the two week mark.
So if you're on your phone a lot and don't always have a power source to charge, this and the 3500 battery are for you. I had the 3500, but again, that extra 500 made a difference with me.

Ir comes with a replacement cover. It's almost identical to this. which is a re-badged Seidio 3500mah with cover. Picked one up for $10 including shipping, well worth it IMHO.

I bought that battery from cowboom in September when this was posted, and it definitely needs the expanded replacement cover as it is about twice as thick as the stock battery. The cover fits well though, unlike the Seidio that has has gaps at bottom of the phone for a lot of people, including me.
There's no way that a 3500mah battery could use the normal cover. Here's the Amazon listing for the same battery where the photos more clearly show the larger cover.

If you're in the US you can get the specially designed branded version made for Best Buy on EBay for under $20. Just search for Platinum instead of Seidio. You can get the cases cheaper that way also if you decide to stay with a factory battery although I've seen a few surface extended cases for less than $10.

Mugen looks too thick. I just got my CP12 and love it, although it does make the XZU look more like a tablet or paperback book size wise, pick your choice. Best if you get it on sale as it is right now on Sony's website.

Agree about the CP12. It does make it seem too much like a Nexus 7 sized tablet. I thinking about putting mine up for sale and getting this Mugen one or the Brando.
Doesnt the Mugen look way too thick to you? I have been thinking on getting one of those Brando like ones from ebay since I will only use it in specific occasions. I just fell in love on how the phone feels naked really

Just wondering whether or not this battery will harm the phone, or if it actually has the capacity of 3500 MaH. Seems like a great deal.
Can you post a link
You can put it in your phone and run a battery test and see if it is 3500mAh.

Only reason to be worried is because why?
Over-heating melting or what?
In most cases those cheap batteries do not even have half the capacity printed on the sticker.

Whenever you hear a story about a phone exploding in someone's pocket, there's a cheap battery to blame.
Seems too good to be true, but I'll avoid it. I'd rather spend the money on an OEM battery with 3,000 mAh so I'm assured that it'll work, and that it'll last.
Here's a hint: if a battery is advertised as being the same size with more capacity, it is too good to be true.
I ordered one for $8 off ebay. I'll post results in a few weeks when I get it.
I live on the wild side and ordered the miracle Chinese 3500 batteries. Oh well, life is a gamble. When I get them in two months, I'll report my review. Oh well, it was just $17.99
What could go wrong...:cyclops:
Batteries and sd cards are scams on ebay. The batteries often even have a label underneath the top one with a smaller capacity written on it. They also don't last very long at all. Even if it works well new, prepare to be displeased in a couple months.
I have bought those black ones in the past and they were pretty bad. Like they only lasted a couple hours. Hopefully these are better. But I have also bought the ones with a yellow and red stripe and they were much better. Not as good as an Anker but still pretty good. Here is one for 6 bucks and it ships locally. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3300mAh-battery-for-LG-Sprint-Optimus-G3-LS990-D850-D855-S-Stylus-/191257900734?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item2c87dbf6be
These aftermarket batteries is one thing I will not touch with a 10 foot pole. No matter how much I need a spare. There's only a few reputable 3rd party battery manufacturers that I would buy without hesitation. But I wouldn't go near eBay batteries.
What about Caseology batteries, I bought two of them hope them work same as OEM

I did a run down test on one a few years ago, and they were about 75% compared to factory, haven't tested since then and that was in the HTC Rezound.
If you have the time, charge them up and do a run down test with screen on full brightness playing high res video until it's dead, repeat that with stock and then you'll know what you've got. And you can let us know

Buy a spare OEM battery? Currently I have 2 extras which I might keep just in case but they aren't too expensive. I would like a 3500mAh that fits in the back still.
That doesn't solve the size problem. The phone is way too thin. Also, I don't want to have to carry batteries with me, nor fiddle with opening the back twice a day amd introduce wear and risk of damage.
I bought Tylt charger, and just keep my phone on it at my desk. I haven't run out yet

My brother in law back home in Ireland has a John Deere tractor with WiFi, Bluetooth and wireless charging for his Nokia.
I've seen those here in CA central valley
I have those things in my Versatile. The point is the phone is too thin with a small battery that I want to fix with a gloriously huge third party battery.
I personally don't think I'll get a extended battery with this beautifully designed device but I'll leave this here for anyone who may be looking for one but don't want the complete bulk of the Zerolemon .. This one doesn't look to be quite as big  cheerz

And a different back plate which looks to be better for grip and maybe a little protection .. Is a Tpu case made for this battery style I believe http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PIBNMEM/ref=pd_aw_sims_3?pi=AC_SY230_QL60

Well I'm recently looking for reviews for this battery cover too. I'm very curious about the thickness of it since it seems the company did select a good angle to kind of make up a illusion of a slim design. And no case for the phone that is having this cover on, that's another problem
True. I'm curious about the same things .....

I ordered mine yesterday from Hyperion website for $24.99 (free shipping, no tax; $4.99 on Amazon). When I get it I will upload some pictures. Stock battery was good in G2, but G3 display is the biggest hog for me.
Received a battery today. I uploaded 3 pics just to show it to the public.
I also measured weight of the phone:
+ without battery: 114g
+ with OEM: 162g
+ with Hyperion: 208g
Now I'm going to measure battery life for a few next days.
I put 2 dimes and 1 nickel to show an extra thickness. Check at home
I'm a heavy user and after one day I can say that this battery is outstanding. Normally I had to charge my phone at least once during the day. With Hyperion I used only 1/3 of juice. It compensate an extra bulk
I don't use NFC, so lack of it is not a problem for me.

Sweet review, I bought mine a few days ago can't wait to try it when it gets here
I don't really mind how thick or heavy my phone is as long as it's not ridiculous (like 5 pounds or an inch thick or more) so I got the zerolemon battery. I can't imagine this really saves THAT much space. But then again, with double the stock capacity, it should be useful in either case.
Can you put pictures of it on the phone?

I m from Germany and since hyperion don't ship to Germany i was looking for a alternative.
There are lot of companies that have the exact same battery whit cover. Just other brand.
In Germany there is for example "Akku King" or a no name company named "vbh".
I got the vbh battery because the one from "Akku king" was not in Stock.
The battery looks exactly like the hyperion. So far battery life is awesome!!! After 6 hours standby and approximately 3h screen time and some telefon calls i still got 72%.
Also the new cover and battery give you more grip. The phone doesn't tend to slip like whit the Orginal battery and back cover. I will add pictures from the phone with the backcover installed later.

Yes you are right i also doubt that the battery had 7500mAh but 6000mAh for sure. Because it looks exactly the same like the other 6000mAh batteryd.
