To make the GPS lock faster on Google maps or any other similar app just follow these steps below:
1) Download the GPS Status app which is free from play store.
2) launch the app and go into menu and select tools.
3) select manage A GPS State.
3) Reset the previous GPS cache (cold start) for better performance.
4) Then download the GPS assistance data to your device.
Your GPS will lock on faster than ever.
NOTE: You have to download the GPS assistance data once a week manually or keep it on automatic (you have to launch the app for that)
If you find this info useful don't forget to click the thanks button.
Thank You !

dont forget that u can get faster lock when outside of building instead inside building..

Hey,
So, I've checked 'settings->apps->running' and I see that when I restart my phone the OS turn on Google location Manager, Google Play market, and some other thing.
I would really like if when I turn on my phone- no element could use my GPS unless I specifically tell it to run, then stop the usage when I tell it to close. Part of the tracking prevention, I imagine, will be done by disabling those services which are required for proper part functioning.
I suppose my questions are:
1) What services/elements should I disable?
2) How do I prevent them from running on startup?
3) How do disable parts of android to run on start up, in general?
Also I'd like to note that I would prefer not installing any apps or root the phone.
Thank you very much
UP.
(Damn, 4th page already. There sure is a lot of activity here).
For stopping any app on reboot you need to be rooted !!!
As you have to make changes in system files !!!
Without root access it’s not possible to stop a system app on startup...!

Very intresting, thank you.
Anyone knows by any chance what other elements should be disabled so to prevent the activation of components that could theoretically be used for tracking (so that for instance the GPS or the WIFI or some motion sensors or perhaps some other information gatherer could not be turned on (even if the phone is infected by malware)) ?
1) Download disable service in Google Play
2) Swipe to system apps, navigate to Google Play Services
3) Uncheck all mdm.services (first few)
4) Uncheck NlpLocationRecevierService, GoogleLocationManagerService, GoogleLocationService
5) Uncheck any plus, drive or cast service if you’re not using them.
* GPS will still work as normal.

Thank you.
when you say that GPS works as normal, does it mean that only the physical component is working but no app can access it (not even deliberate navigation apps)?
Also, I'll check this "disable service " but funny thing, one of the reviewers on the market has left this remark:
"Nearly useless I thought that if I disable some services - they won't run ever again. But then I learned that it is not so, and the bad apps who's services you disabled can undo that easily. Even if they get executed without SU rights. For me that means that DisableServices is potentially useless. If you would like to reproduce what I'm talking about - install Yandex.Maps, disable com.yandex.auth.AuthentificationService Please, add an active Guard to protect services from getting re-enabled"
Is there some truth in it?
And again thank you(!), will do what you suggested.
Hi guys I wanna share with you this awesome app developed by wangqi060934 that you can find for free on the play store.
LINK: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wq.myandroidtools&hl=it
With this app you can enable or disable any app services, receivers, activities or providers and so having full control on your personal or system apps.
I have been using AOSPA since Chirag built it, but I have never reached the 4.26 hours with my normal daily usage till I disabled those fu***** play service processes and then Android OS percentage has fallen down and no more wakelocks.:highfive: (See the attachments)
I found this app interesting because now I found a way to disable some Google Play Services processes which drain a lot of battery and use a lot of ram. I'll show you how to do this right now.
SERVICE
This is divided between third party & system and contains all services. Near every app name there is a white, blue or red number.
The white shows the total number of services, the blue shows the number of active services and the red shows the number of disabled services.
RECEIVER
This section is divided among Actions, Third Party & System. Also here, near every app name there is a white number that shows the total number of receivers and a red one that shows the number of disabled receivers.
GUIDE TO DISABLE SOME GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES PROCESSES WITHOUT LOOSING ANY FEATURES AND GAINING RAM & PRECIOUS BATTERY GUICE
Open SERVICE section and tap on System;
Find Google Play Services and tap on it;
Disable those services
Code:
AdRequestBrokerService
AnalyticsIntentService
AnalyticsService
FusedLocationService
FusedProviderService
GeocoreService
GeofenceProviderService
GoogleLocationManagerService
NlpLocationReceiverService
SystemUpdateService
WatchdogService
WearableControlService
WearableService
Open RECEIVER section and tap on System;
Find Google Play Services and tap on it;
Disable those receivers:
Code:
AccountChangedReceiver
GServicesChangedReceiver
SystemUpdateService$ActiveReceiver
SystemUpdateService$Receiver
As you can see I have disabled the google analytics, that pratically is useless (but it takes 26 mb of ram) and most localization processes but If you do these steps in the right way, your localization service, gps, will continue to work properly. (see the gps status screenshot attached below)
I hope that this has been useful for all of you , and guys be careful when you disable things!

No, all will work as usual
In Google Play Services - RECEIVER section I have ConnectivityReceiver and PowerConnectedReceiver already disabled, not sure why because it is the first time I tweak Google Play Services.
I think you can verify these entries and eventually add them.
Excellent tool!
Does it activate after boot?
I can see receivers from frozen apps, does this mean they also bloat the system, even frozen?

Yes, all your changes will be applied after reboot.
Deleting an app is better than frozing, the frozen app itself remains on the device, is just "blocked" but the junk is always on your phone
Works fine on s3
I have noticed that some applications such as Prezzi Benzina require that GoogleLocationManagerService is active so that the geolocation functions properly. Who uses this function should not disable it.
Free other 75 MB of RAM on NeatROM 7.9
To disable the automatic startup of the app: Reciver-> Third Party -> "App Name" -> remove tick from BootUpReceiver / BootReceiver

I've got a problem with my wifes rooted galaxy s4 on Stock...
I installed this app at my own s3mini, disabled the recommended services and made a backup.
Then I brought this backup to my wifes s4, installed MyAndroidTools and restored the settings.
After that I've got security warnings want me to update security policies - I guess it's Knox. I tried to enable the services again, but some wont. Every now and then this security warning is coming up now... I've uninstalled MAT but the warning remains...
Furthermore her WhatsApp shortcut was gone while Whatsapp was still working... I needed to unistall and reinstall WhatsApp to bring back the shortcut...
Does anyone have an idea how to restore the system as it was before- or to bring Knox to silence again?

Hi, i will share you what worked in my e2306 to fix the annoying Wifi drain. You need an app that let you disable broadcast receivers like RoomToolBox or MyAndroidTools. We are going to disable some Google Play Services receivers.
Open the app you choose to work, navigate to receivers and then DISABLE the following in GPLAY services app:
SystemUpdateServiceActiveReceiver
SystemUpdateServiceOtaPolicyReceiver
SystemUpdateServiceReceiver
SystemUpdateServiceSecretCodeReceiver
And then reboot.
No need to activate STAMINA mode. No need to choose GPS to power saving, no need to disable WiFi/BT location scan.
Ive tested for like 10 days or so. The overnight drain downed to 2% it was like 7%. Also now battery is as good as in LP fw, 1 and 1/2 day with moderate to heavy usage.
Attached screenshoot of two diferent charge cycles.

As for now, i didnt noticed anything broken, but it might deppend what you do with your device.
I ussualy do the following with my phone:
*Using Google stuff like maps with gps accurate mode, Location history etc.
*Using google chrome and other browsers.
*Using google fit with realtime activity detection.
*Gmail / Email / Sms / Whastapp.
*Some gaming 2D / 3D / Console Emulators.
*The whole time at home WiFi connected, LTE/3g outside. (I never turn off wifi even when im out)
*Xposed with a variety of modules (app settings, apm+, and more..)
*Apps via playstore, music app, camera, weather and clock widgets, Root thingy like KernelAdiutor, Lucky Patcher, fstrimm. A large etc.
I can confirm that all these things seems to work ok, havent had any problem

A few of those were already disabled (perhaps by amplify).
For some reason i had multiple AccountsChangedReceiver from Google Services (all with that same name), with one bieng already disabled, so i left those as they were.
For now everything seems to still work. I'll report if I notice anything. Thanks for the tip!
Hmm so it wasnt only me, i have TWO AccountsChangedReceiver(android.accounts.LOGIN_ACCOUNTS_CHANGED) and one was already disabled before i touch anything, and few others i dont remember. Im going to check by restoring a backup and report here
Makes no difference here.
I did notice a big boost in battery duration. I'd say about 4 hours more. Though of course one should do a serious test to assert this.
I also noticed now playstore won't download updates if the screen is off. I get a message saying background data has been disabled when i turn the screen back on if playstore was downloading something.
Does this happen to you too? Worth it in any case.

Do you use STAMINA?
In my case background data is ok and all the things that deppends of it are working fine, as for playstore i always disable autoupdates and i do them manually to prevent unwanted "new features" you know.. so i cant confims this last one. I never use stamina mode though.
Btw by restoring my backup i got the same result untouching anything but the last 4 receivers ive stated in the post so i dont thing the first 3 that also apperas to be duplicated are relevant, gonna edit it.

I normally don't, although it could've been automatically activated. I just tried downloading an app and turning off the screen for a while (while it was staarting to download). When i turned it back on it actually had installed so perhaps that was random.
Is there any way to do this on a LBL/nonrooted phone? As my BL can't be unlocked, and wifi battery drain is very proeminent, like 1% per 2-3 minutes.
There is no battery drain if you did proper clean install... Just wait for few days it will dissapear from battery list. I am getting 6 hours sot and 2 days battery life
Obivously clean install, stock rom, CE1, using flashtool, wipe user data.

This is a thread to list working sideloaded apps in the Amazfit watch. I have not seen a thread with a list like this so I thought I'd start one.
I'll list apps here that have been tried and their status as working or not.
- Google Calculator - Works
- Invaders for Wear - Launches but screen a little messed up and unplayable
- Google Calendar - Launches but needs google play services to run
- Facebook lite - Does not install
- Hillclimb Racing - Does not install
- Astro File manager - Does not work
- Wear mini launcher - Installs does not work
- Settings app - Seems to work (this is not an app to enable native android settings)
- Google play services 9.0.82 (Compiled for MIPS) - Installs but FCs
- Google Calendar - Installs and goes through start up screens but won't continue without working google play services
- Google Play Store - Installs but says this version is not compatible
- Clockwork mod Tether app - installs and seems to work fine
- Opera Mobile - (compiled for MIPS cpu) installs but crashes
- ADosBox - Installs but crashes
- ES File Explorer - Installs and launches fine but can't show the "next" button
- Temple Run - Does not install
- Holo Launcher - Does not install
- Watch Droid Assistant - works (I have not personally tested this but a few have and said it works good)
If you have any apps that you have tried to install please leave a comment and let me know if it worked or not.

Popular sleep monitor/alarm Sleep as Android apparently pushes a sleep tracking app to Wear devices automatically. I don't know if you can obtain that and sideload it?

newbie question about barometer.
Just received my Amazfit, so likely it is locked? I want to side load one very specific application. I would like an alitimeter with either dial and needle or big fat numbers showing altitude that is based on the internal barometric pressure sensor. (for flying powered paraglider). The accuracy and update rate of the gps would likely be too low, but I can see from the barometer display that it is quite accurate and can sense the pressure change by moving only 1 or 2 feet up and down. I would also like to be able to "lock" on this screen once it is opened so it doesn't automatically return to the main watch screen.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Nop it means that atm you can't update to a dev-rom or get root.
Sideloading doesn't work for 99% of apps out there, so don't get your hopes up.

I know I'm speaking to some very smart guys.... Perhaps If I buy someone a ham sandwich (or $20), they can write an app that reads the barometer and converts to altitude specifically to fit in the format required by the Amazfit.
please update the list and add Watch Droid Assistant
