I have a rogers lg optimus g e971 that I unlocked and using it on bell. My question when looking for case for e971 not much on ebay so wondering if the e970 case will work or if other model numbers will work. I just the phone I like protect it but nothing around here sells cases for it. Thanks

Hi well the e971 is also the e973 and e975. It is basically the international version. So the normal one. Pretty much all cases for the e975 should fit. Meaning u have a great selection on cases. From otter box to body clove to case mate and many more. I am a e970 owner and barely have much big brand name cases for mine. I hope I was able to answer your question.

anybody know of a source for a soft silicone jelly-type shell for the Optimus G yet? I see nothing on Amzer and I've checked Aliexpress as best I can too. Not TPU-type plastic, please. TPU is hard and crack/crush-resistant, but I've had much better success with soft, flexible shock-absorber type shells on my Androids and Blackberries over the last 5+ years..

The Otterbox site has been showing 'Coming Soon' for about a week now, they still aren't taking orders.
I put in an order on eBay for one of these:

The LS970 and E970 are the same layout, the only difference would be the SD+SIM card slot on the E970, but you really don't want that open and exposed anyways right? It cost me a whopping $7 with shipping so we'll see if it does the job.
Best Buy had a case labeled Optimus G. I asked their employee which model it was for and he said ATT. I opened it and put my phone in and there was no way it would fit. ATT version is definitely wider.

That seems to be the crux of the problem - The Spring version and the international version are identical in size so you can use almost any case interchangeably. The AT&T version is slightly wider and rather different from that "norm". Unless there's enough interest, it doesn't seem like anyone is in a hurry to make a decent case for this phone.

Same thing happened to me, heard about another guy that ordered a case form ebay and it didn't fit either.. even though ti claimed it was for AT&T e970.
Can't complain about the phone being wider, AT&T needs that space for the slots that the other versions don't have!

I have one and i like it a lot the only thing is a lot of chargers didn't fit so i had to cut a little rubber off of the micro usb end.

Ur best chance on finding a case is eBay and amazon. And cases aren't to expensive on eBay. Just shop in eBay.com and most sellers will ship outside the USA as well.

It seems that all Diztronic cases for e970 have been sold at least on eBay; I wanted to buy a second one as a reserve ... too late. I also have a cheap noname hard case, but it just looks crappy :silly:

The price is a bit steep but I just might order it. I like that it's ultra slim (because of the battery cover replacement) and rubbery texture. It probably gives very little protection, but I'm mostly looking for better grip.

I'm really on the fence about that. It's damn expensive compared to other cases, so looking for something similar that is as slim and grippy.
I'll post a full review here though, if I do go ahead and buy it

Then when you click the "compatibility tab" at the it says is LG G3. I'm not even sure these people even know that there exist two variations of this phone, both with different pin configurations.

That will only work with Korea version of phone. If you look at back contacts, the gold contacts are too close together. The G3 in UK and States contacts are spread more apart.

Well you have the F400K so the pin configuration is different from the US/ rest of the world models. The case review would be nice but ad far as functionality goes it's limited to the Korean one.

Now this is exactly the case i want for my phone! I will be buying this and i really hope it works with the att for qi charging...att may have ****ed many people over with powermat!
Pretty sure I'm gonna snag one if its functionality is not hindered in the AT&T version. I just ordered a few cases off amazon.com as well to test out, if they're not up to par - then I'll wait on this. I really like the idea behind the case, despite the price.
