(Title of this should read SD card, not CD card)
I have read & tried every suggested method I've found on here & in web searches without success. I think the main reason may be the phone model.
I have a Huawei U8652, from Consumer Cellular (NOT AT&T Version) which I was able to root. I partitioned the SD card via mini-tool partition wizard using FAT32 Primary for both the Main & Ext2 partitions. However, when I open Links2SD I get the prompt to select the partition 2 which I choose ext2, then I get the "mount script error. mount: invalid argument". Sometimes it is busy/not available.
As I said I have tried EVERY single suggested method & each has a step that won't work or is not applicable to this phone.
Does anyone have any experience with a Consumer Cellular version of the Huawei U8652?
The end game is to remove bloatware & move apps to the SD card to remove the 'low storage' error that I got after downloading literally 1 app. (facebook). The phone is 2 weeks old. It has now been rooted with superuser & Link2SD installed successfully but I am still not seeing any free space.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I would be embarrassed to admit how many hours have been spent on this up to this point....
Thanks!

bought a 8gb sandisk (2) and having a few problems.
stuck it in and then did Part SD:fat32+ext2+swap via RA-hero-v1.2.3 then moved all data onto the fat32 partition (nb. my current ROM does not have apps2sd, but my current card is partitioned this way) - but was getting frequent hero notifications that card is corrupted.
as i don't need the ex2 & swap, i deleted those partitions (using Paragon) and just set the card to a single fat32 disk.
it worked fine until i tried to apply a zip via the RA-hero-v1.2.3. after a successful nandroid backup, when i select 'choose zip" i get E:Can’t mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (No such file or directory) E:Can’t mount SDCARD. After a reboot I get the same hero notifications that card is corrupted.
spent most of the day searching and even tried making the new card a goldcard, but still the same when i try to apply an update.zip from it. not sure what to do, i'm starting to think the new card is duff.
any help/advice would be appreciated.
It might be worth trying to format the card again from your phone. Delete all partition/formatting info, then create a single fat32 partition. If you need, follow this parted guide, but adapt it so you're only creating one fat32 partition.
In other words, replaced the three mkpartfs lines in step 5 with the single line:
mkpartfs primary fat32 0 7969 (start is 0 and end is Total A)
NB don't necessarily use the number 7969, but rather replace it with the value you come up with for Total A after following the preceeding steps in the guide (it's just the size of the card as reported by parted in MBs).
A duff card does sound quite likely however. I've heard it claimed several times that higher class cards aren't just faster but also more reliable, so it might be worth going with class 6 if you do decide to replace it.
cheers for the reply & that link. i followed it and the card is now a single fat32 partition but it's still unstable. windows can read it without fail, but in the phone there's folders & files literally disappearing. fairly sure it's the card now, but will keep trying a few disk tools on it, see if they can spot anything else.
i did follow the intructions on that link to repartition my original 2gb card to a single partition and that worked a treat.
thanks again.
Hello all. I am new to the forums and to Android, so bear with me.
I have been searching around for the past few days for a way to solve the issue that I am having and have not been able to find anything that works for me. So here it is:
I have an LG Optimus L5 II (LG-E450B) running stock Android 4.1.2 (non-rooted) Kernel Version 3.4.0. My carrier is Virgin Mobile (Canada). I recently realized that the stock 2GB of internal memory is not nearly enough for me, so I went out and bought a 16GB Sandisk microSD card. I put music on it, set photos to autosave on it, etc. which all worked great. However, I have been unable to get some apps to move over correctly.
I realize that some apps can't really get moved (at least without rooting, etc). The app I am specifically trying to work with is iBird pro. It's App Info appears as such:
Total: 641 MB
App: 12.68 MB
USB storage app: 628 MB
Data: 4.00 KB
SD Card: 0.00B
The "Move to SD Card" option is available, but when I do it all that it does is drop the App to 3.51MB and up the USB storage app to 637MB. All of which stays on the internal memory. Obviously it is only moving 9MB or so of App to the virtual SD internal memory (which I believe is what shows up in my files manager as /storage/sdcard0, so it doesn't actually move it to the SD card (though a few other apps have sucessfully been moved).
I have tried using App2SD, but it says that the program is not supported by my device (and the iBird Pro shows up as "Phone Only" anyway).
I have tried the ADB hack trick set-install-location 2 and reinstalled the app and still nothing, it just saved on the internal memory.
Finally, when I open the app, it also downloads another ~600MB of database data (bird songs, pictures, etc), which also saves on the internal memory. Or at least tries to but the memory gets full and it stops the download.
Anyone have any ideas for me? I know a lot of people ask this question, but none of the other solutions I came across seemed to help me. I would really appreciate it! I would prefer not to root my phone, by the way. Unless of course someone can make me an incredibly convincing argument.
Cheers!
This is how android's built-in app2sd works.
I don't think you can do anything w/o root.
I suggest rooting, make a second partition to your SD card (2-4 GB) and use link2sd.

There are oh so many reasons to root your phone and few not but that choice is yours
Sounds like only some of the data/libraries are able to me to SD on this app of yours so if you don't want to root it than you'll have to leave it on internal.
And FYI, many apps don't play well or are slowed considerably on SD, so be careful what you move and if you don't Yardley use an app its best to just not even download it, but again choice is yours

if you can't do root so sit back and relax.
Ok, so I decided to root. Which was actually freakishly easy. So how do I move stuff now? I have tried a number of apps, all of which only bring up "App Options" and we have determined that the "Move to SD" option there doesn't work correctly. I just want to figure out how to get the app and all of the data that it will download later to install on the SD, I never thought it would be quite this complicated.

Use Link2SD.
Make a second partition (2-4 GB) and move (link) that app to the second partition.

Tried Link2Sd? I would rather use that.

Ok, so I partitioned my 16GB card into two FAT32 partitions (10 GB and 4 GB) and a Swap Partition of ~850MB (roughly following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2126363). However, when I opened Link2SD and tried to select FAT32/FAT16 as the file system of the SD card's second partition it came up with the Mount Script Error "Mount script cannot be created. mount: I/O error". I had tried formatting with Ext4 and Ext2 file systems as well earlier, but when I selected either it said ext2 or ext4 (whichever I was trying to use) was not supported by my device (which I am assuming means my kernel does not support either).
Edit: Ok, so I changed it. I deleted the Swap partition (couldn't get the swap stuff to work anyway, it's not required right?). There is now 1 10GB partition and 1 5GB partition. Link2SD created the mount link just fine this time. Testing it out. "Install Location" gives a Warning "App2SD is not supported by your device. Because your device has a primary external storage which is emulated from the internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your SD card." Does this mean that I can't automatically link files to the SD card?

Swap IS NOT needed.
Second partition should be ext 2/3/4.
Test to see if auto-link works.

Good to know swap isn't needed. However, Link2SD did keep saying that Ext2 or Ext4 wasn't supported. I can try it again though.

Use Ext3. If it doesn't work use FAT. It can get buggy (not very often).
Also I think that if you can link apps 1 by 1, then you can (probably) use auto-link as well.

Ok, so Ext3 didn't work. So I stuck with the second partition being FAT32 as well. The mount worked fine.
When I try to create the link I get the following error: "Failure. create_link.com.whatbird.pro[1]: can't create /data/sdext2/data/com. whatbird.pro/lib/libfileutils.so: I/O error"
I was able to move the bulk of the apps Obb files to the SD using FolderMount. However, I am unsure how to move the 650MB Misc. data files to the SD.

Flash CWM recovery, in 'mounts and storage' press 'format SD-Ext'. This fixes the I/O error (I think).
If the misc files are libs then ALL of them can be moved/linked.

Look for a custom build here on XDA.

A few days ago I successfully installed the newest Cyanogenmod 11 for HTC Chacha.
When I installed it for the first time, I also installed the Link2SD app. After a while, I started getting the "Insufficient storage available" message, so I decided to do a hard reset and reinstall the mod.
Now I have it installed for the second time. At the beginning [this time I skipped Link2SD] everything was alright. Now I keep getting the message again.
Things I have done:
1. After installing Cyanogenmod, I partitioned the SD card and used the CronMod INT2EXT script. Right now my phone says that I have 203 MB of free storage.
2. I have tried the LuckyPatcher fix. It didn't work.
3. I have also tried the adb shell command. I have tried setting it both to 1 and to 2, none of which worked.
4. My app-asec folder is completely empty. The app-lib only contains the folders with the apps I have managed to install. The logs are not the problem either.
5. This happens whenever I try to install ANY app, no matter the size.
6. I have tried clearing the cache of both Play Store and Play Services. It didn't work.
7. What's weird is that at first, simply rebooting my phone worked and I was able to install 2 or 3 apps before getting the message. Right now I can't install anything.
Does anyone have any idea what else I can try?
Note: Somewhere in the process, after rebooting my phone, I found that the Google Services were gone. I had to flash it and reinstall it using CWM. I still don't know why they disappeared, right now they seem to be working fine, except now I can't get anything from the Play Store.
Thanks in advance for any solutions, I really appreciate it!

Grab the newest build of CWM and there's a guide there on how to use CronMod with it. I've modded some Wildfires for customers and definitely find CronMod to be the best all around solution for more space, if the SD card is up to it. Also, make sure you are partitioning the SD card the right way. I found that making the partition in Windows with a tool like MiniTool Partition just doesn't seem to work right. If you can use GParted in Linux (you can even do it from a LiveCD) then that seems to do a better job of it. Also make note of what type it is (ext2 / ext3 / ext4) with the appropriate CronMod script.

How do I check the type (ext2/ext3/ext4)? And will choosing the right setting in Link2SD do the trick?
You know, I've checked the page of CM11 for ChaCha and the dev said that it's a bug that needs to be fixed - the perks of running a new software on an old device, so there's probably not much I can do.
Well, the tool you used to partition the SD card should tell you. Alternatively, your custom recovery should have an option to partition for you (this is better than Windows as well) and then it'll set it up as ext 2 at first and allow you to change it to ext 3 or 4.
For starters, my phone is the Samsung Galaxy on5, model G550T.
I have followed as many guides as I can find through Google. I've rooted my phone (which is a prerequisite for using the app Link2SD). I can successfully partition the SD card (32gb, partitioned 16 for internal and 16 for portable storage as FAT32). However, when I try to use Link2SD, I get this error:
Mount script error
Mount script cannot be created.
mount: No such file or directory
I'm no tech wiz, but I've researched as many solutions as I could, all of which suggest maybe partitioning it as ext2, 3, or 4 rather than FAT32. However no matter which one I do, I still get the same error.
I think the closest lead I have to figuring out the problem is that in one of the solutions I attempted, they mentioned a init.d folder in their system fills. Upon following the same path, I saw that I do not have such files. Is that the reason maybe? And if so, what can I do to fix it? This phone has atrocious memory (4.12gb! About 1.5gb being taken up by other apps already!) and does not support adoptive memory, which is why I am trying so hard to get this to work.
If anymore details are needed, I will comply happily! Thanks in advance for your help.
Some specifications:

Running Marshmallow (android 6.0.1)
If they type of SD card is relevant, I'm using a UHS-1 SD card.

Well, returning to what I was telling after doing some modifications in my cellphone with busybox, Mount2sd, and swapper 2 when I reboot it using a personalize key set up by xedege by jozein, an xposed module, it started in fastboot mode and the status of the device is LOCKED, and when I started it up by Normal power it appears Failed to initialize partition table, when I start it up in recovery (I had twrp recovery) it said boot image fail or something like that and invalid recovery image, when I started it by factory it also appears boot image can’t be executed (it’s something that means this) and invalid boot img and the same with the rest of the otion except for Barcodes where my IMEI appears to be 00000…., you can’t erase, flash or boot nothing via fastboot it all shows invalid validation and Fail or something similar and when I entered fastboot oem get_unlock_data it throws Could not access to unlock data! What I did with busybox?
Just installed it via recovery and from a zip file. I installed the 1.24.2 from Stericson.
What I did with mount2sd of spaze dog?
I downloaded Mount2sd app and installed it in my cellphone and also installed its scripts, because all my applications where being installed in my external sd and I had enough free space for some other app in my internal memory I tried to force android to install application in my internal memory executing adb shell in the CDM of my windows computer and when it appears the terminal I wrote su pm set-install-location 0 but it shows location not found, the same for 1 or 2 location. The next thing that I do was to uninstall mount2sd, I didn’t unistall mount2sd binaries, and remove my sd card and install some apps in my internal sd, then I mount again the sd card, and install Mount2sd app and install another application and it goes to the internal memory. Mount2sd said that External storage was not mounted 0 GB of 0GB, The threshold thing also appears 0GB of 0GB, so in settings I activate fix (activate it if you have problems with threshold, that was what it had said this option, and is under use busibox binaries). I also activate Swap in Mount2sd.
I read here in XDA, that making a card partition by Partition wizard tool or a custom recovery other than 4ext for HTC phones are of bad quality or can damage your memory card, and that a correct way to do this is using gparted, specifically gparted live, to execute from the dvd player when you start up your machine so I did it this way. I made three primary partition and when they were created all said write in or something like that in dev/mmcblk0. Once the partitions had finished they showed the following information: 1st fat32, 6.15GB, path: dev/sdb1; 2nd ext4 , 1GB, dev/sdb2; 3rd linux-swap, 255MB, dev/sdb3. I don’t know if these strange path could affect Mount2sd or Swapper.
The question is, Is really better doing a partition with gparted? And if it is this way, how can I use this partition to install apps in my external sd card? If it is not better to partition an sd card with gparted I could let my applicatons installed or moved, for me they are for the same purpose, by doing the card partition by twrp and using Link2sd, thing that I did satisfactorily previously.
What I did with swapper 2, version 0.2.8.r2 by Elvis KuAitans?
In settings I checked Run swapper at start up. In advanced preferences I checked swap partition, and in swap location I tried Dev/block/mmcblk0, dev/block/mmcblk?, dev/bock/mmcblk1p3, and dev/block/mmcblk1p? withn insatisfactory results showing in the screen after I pressed On in the principal screen of the application dev/block/… invalid argument or something like that and FAIL. I also had wrote the correct location of busybox in the space set for this in the application. How can I get use swap partition as ram with the previously partition of the sd card? And if it is not better this partition how can I do the same thing? Do you think that I shouldn’t have problems if I made the partition via TWRP?
When I reboot my cellphone it occurs what I described first. Please, tell me that there is a solution, I heard bad things about this lock state. I already appreciate your help. I can also pray for the ones who help me (really I can do this). Thank you.
