my phone wont turn on or even charge the battery - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i tired to enter the CWM recovery mode few times, after i didnt success into booting the phone into the CWM recovery mode (becuase i didnt know how to enter it :S) i downloaded app called "ROM Manager" i flash the CWM recovery mode then i turn off the phone after the phone turned off it never turned on or charge
notes :
1) the phone before all this was rooted
2) i used a website to install CWM recovery mode on the phone it worked to install it but yet i cant enter it (this step is before i downloaded "ROM Manager")

Using Rom Manager was a mistake, but probably wouldn't brick your phone. It just doesn't play nice with the S2, tends to cause bootloops & break recovery.
If the phone won't boot at all, no download mode, no recovery - your only option is service centre or local mobile repair shop. Nothing you can do to fix it.
I mean, try a jig by all means, but understand this is very unlikely to get you into download mode.
Having said that, you need to be 100% sure you can't get into download mode (power/home/vol down), if it was me in your situation, I'd be trying over & over & over given the alternative.

[Q] Phone..!..PC

Okay, so I had installed the latest MIUI rom, after rooting my phone, but then got stuck in a boot loop so I decided to flash back to stock rom, during this Odin crashed and now my phone is stuck with this icon which I'm sure you guys know about. The problem I have is I had turned off debugging mode on my phone earlier on after I rooted, so now I can't exactly flash it back to stock rom or anything with Odin, the Recovery mode doesn't work anymore, everything just brings up the phone..!..PC symbol. I can however go into download mode. Just not sure what I can do with it with debugging turned off.
What do I do?

When you connect the phone to your pc, does odin show that it is connected? i.e. a block turns yellow?
It detects the phone properly, it gives an error though when it reaches the writing stage, and hits a Red Failed icon in the first bar.
I am no expert but wouldn’t a USB jig Help get into download mode?
As I mentioned I can already get into download mode, but I don't know what to do from there, seeing as I had debugging mode off before my phone started this whole mess.
Oh sorry, I misunderstood.
I cannot help you mate, because I am relatively new to all of this, but I am sure that someone will be able to help you out. From what I have read as long as the phone shows signs of life (in your case the "phone ! pc" symbol) it can be recovered.
Keep your hopes up, all the best to you!

Nothing to do with flashing .
Your choices are
Remove battery replace boot phone to download mode install stock rom.
Or enter recovery mode and factory reset .
USB jig is supposedly not working for download mode on SGS2 if three button will not enter download mode .
Or remove custom rom and root and zero rom counter return phone under warranty .
Or return under warranty and take your chance .

[Q] Unable to root/Install custom ROM in Huawei U8510

Tried everything!
The procedures mentioned to root or install CWM Recovery in Huawei x3 U8510 requires you to go to USB Debugging mode in Settings but my device does not have a working Stock ROM.
I am able to boot into the Stock Recovery mode (Volume + and power button) but unable to install CWM(tried several versions for U8510), SU, Custom ROM etc cuz it says signature verification failed even though I tried cmw zip files which were signed.
I tried going into download mode by pressing Volume - and power button that didn't work too. Even though the Huawei symbol came up I couldn't root the device using
Please Help!!!
P.S: I couldn't find any of the latest ROMs for this device too!
i managed it quite easy

hi mate dont know if you managed it yet but if you search google with the term u8510 root , its about the forth link down on the first page with the title "How to Root and Install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Huawei ..." (would post the link but wont let me as i aint been a member long enough) on that page scroll down and download the drivers, install with phone unpluged from computer, then plug phone in and it will install the drivers. then download the automatic root enabler and with the phone switched on as normal and plugged in the pc click the exe file and it will automatically shut down the phone and put it into fastboot mode, root it, install clockworkmod recovery and super user..... when the grey box with the text says finnish the phone will restart but is still in boot loader mode so make sure it says done at the bottom of the box unplug phone from pc, remove battery and put it back in to exit bootloader mode and switch on.
there you go its rooted and super user installed..... plus has clockwork mod recovery to install any custom rom you wish

This method makes my phone freeze at the bootup stage, the Huawei logo stays on the screen, while on the PC it says its <waiting for device> after trying to install clockworkmod recovery. Any ideas?

Can't get into recovery mode anymore!

I've just bought an Oppo phone (with MTK6589 chipset.) 2 days ago I decided to root and flash CWM recovery to my phone. Rooting gone well and the phone is now rooted. Then I flashed CWM with Mobile Uncle Tool. It said that I flashed sucessfully, I got no error. But when I reboot the phone to recovery mode, nothing happend, the phone just did a normal reboot! I tried to flash other third-party recovery mode such as TWRP and MIUI recovery but I got the same problem: the phone couldn't get into recovery. The screen with a text "Recovery mode" appeared in 3s and the phone just did a normal reboot. I couldn't even format factory, all I got was just a normal reboot. I even tried many tools on Google Play and MTK flashtool but there were no hope.
Now my phone is working normally but can't get into recovery mode. Please help me.
Please help me. I've search over the Internet for my problem but it seems that no one have the same one.
Plz guy I can't take it back to the store.
I also have the same issue of not getting into recovery mode
Restarts only in recovery mode
Is there any solution for this

[Solved] stuck on bootloop, can't get into recovery mode or download mode

Had a problem with my htc one m8, so i pulled out my i9100 backup phone.
it had neat rom 4.1.2 on it, and everything was working fine.
i have tried to flash onmi rom():
1. entered recovery mode
2. backed up CWM to external SDCARD.
3.flased "CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.zip" & rebooted into new recovery.
4.installed "omni-4.4.2-20140214-i9100-INFECTED.zip".
5.installed "pa_gapps-modular-micro-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip"
6.installed "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip".
after that, when i wanted to reboot, i got a message saying i could loose su and if i want to fix it, i choosed "NO".
device entered to a boot loop.
i tought no biggy, i would go back to recovery, flash philz CWM and recover my nandroid backup.
it will not get into recovery mode.
tried again, pulled the battery, put it back, hold down VOL-Down+home+power button, and nothing, boot loops over and over again.
tried to get into download mode, not going there as well.
connecting to a pc with ADB+samsung drivers, the device wont show up.
Any suggestions? did i bricked the phone forever?

Are you sure that the phone doesn't boot into the download mode(Vol Up+Powe+Home) ??
If that's the case, then I'm afraid that your phone is hard bricked forever. You have to fix/replace the motherboard then(about $50). You can go to the service center and get it done, or check out this video(JTAG METHOD): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zN7le4GmxZs
I hope something works out for you.

yes, i'm sure :'( its not my first time with the device.
i have ordered a usb jig from ebay, maybe it will force the device into download mode...if not... :\
just got my USB jig i have ordered from ebay(less than a dollar), plugged it to the phone, and it got into download mode!
used odin to flash stock rom, and then installed cyanogenmod with the cm installer.
everything is working fine!
I know this is late, but I wanna ask a question. Firstly I'm happy that your bricked phone came back to life(like how many years ago).
Can a USB jig work on any other phone brand other than Samsung phones? Can it be used for tecno, infinix, and all that? Or it is dedicated to only Samsung mobiles?

Galaxy J5 bricked and home button broken

I ran into a serious problem and now I do not know how to fix it. It turns out that I wanted to install a rom to my cell phone, since the stock I had was giving problems with the battery indicator, and I tried to calibrate it and even used others also following different steps to calibrate them, but always the same problem; Well, after root I found the problem that I could not install anything from the recovery mode of the cell phone, there was a problem that was disabled and could not from the sd, or internal, or adb or anything. Finally I decided to find an application to install twrp and flash the rom, downloaded flashify and I did.
When I went into recovery to flash the rom the cell phone did not change the logo with the message in a corner that is not the official recovery as always comes out when a custom is installed. And there it stays.
I can not turn it on normally, because each time I turn it on it goes directly to the logo with the message that it is not the original recovery, as if trying to access the recovery.
PS: I can not use odin, it does not recognize the cell phone when it is in odin mode, since all the drivers are installed and the kies, I reinstalled everything 3 times every time I tried it. And I can not enter odin mode, and the home button does not work, I used adb, but since it does not turn on, it does not recognize it either.

To enter in to the download mode you can use JIG USB which looks like this :
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41MhETGCbBL.jpg
You can buy that jig USB on E-Bay
or you can use this tool but little Warning !!!
https://app.box.com/s/ktb9rzxde78lujqioh3rbmh6w39gedmm
File was scanned against viruses and it has some , maybe because like that he make your device in download mode.

Here is video how to use .

Good Luck
I'll try with the usb jig. Still don't know if buy the resistance and make one or just buy the jig. Then i will see if i can get for odin to detect the phone, using some kind of witchcraft or whatever hahahaha.
Thanks, I will set the thread as solved.
Good Luck
