hi just got my new tablet to day and Id like a bit of info as I dont what to brick it already
im from uk it came with honneycomb 3.2 all ready installed kernal 2.6.36.3 build10 #1 can it still be rooted as I wana play modern combat 3
thanks
As far as I know it can. Have a look in the development section. Probably better to wait until ics is released and then root.
you've got a build 10 kernel so your device is not rootable right now you have to wait for ICS or if some devs make it rootable for your kernel version
10# and above is not rootable
Maby it is possible already but just like Vinny1967 says just have a look in the development section

try to check for OTA update - if you've got 3.2, then probably you will get 3.2.1 with vulnerable kernel.

Did you echo'd something
Did you ad the driver text from Sony tablet s / p in the google/extras etc.
Or are you unprepared
Edit » lol your more prepared then me i see xD tought you where a newbi xD
I'm just a newbie with the Sony s and I have plenty of experience with Android but for some reason when I plug it into xp it only see it as sony tablet and if I try and install the adb drivers from the auto install folder it say this driver doesn't contain information about my device

Do you have USB debugging on?
Your device is not listed after adb devices?
Try
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb devices
But I think you already know that
And if that didn't work than the next thing you could check if you have not already done that to check if you have your driver installed proper
1.You have Android SDK installed Make sure you have downloaded the Google USB Driver Package.
2.Open the google-usb_driver folder that you will find inside your Android SDK folder.
3.Open the android_winusb.inf file in notepad or any text editor to edit it.
4.Add these lines under [Google.NTx86] or [Google.NTamd64] depending on whether you are using 32 bit or 64 bit Windows. If unsure, it is safe to add these under both these sections.
;NVIDIA Tegra
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_0955&PID_7000
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_0955&PID_7100&MI_01
;SONY Sony Tablet P
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_054C&PID_04D2&MI_01
;SONY Sony Tablet S
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_054C&PID_05B4
Don’t edit or replace any other text that is already there; just add these new lines and save the file.
5.Open a command prompt window and enter this command: echo 0x054C >> "%USERPROFILE%\.android\adb_usb.ini"
Note: this is where you have to use 0x054C instead of what is at the link, otherwise it wont work
Userprofile isn't by your Program Files ! Another example C:\Users\Mahaco\.android etc.
Now your Android SDK drivers are configured to support any Nvidia Tegra based tablet. To be able to use ADB and other SDK tools with your device, you can proceed as follows:
1.On your tablet, go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Development and confirm again that ‘USB Debugging’ is enabled.
2.Connect your tablet to your PC via USB. You will get a notification that some drivers were not installed, just ignore that.
3.Right-click ‘Computer’ and click ‘Manage’. Identify your device from the list, right-click it and click ‘Update Driver Software..’.
4.Choose to browse your computer for driver software and then select to pick from a list device drivers on your computer.
5.Choose to view all devices and click ‘Browse Files’.
6.Browse to the google-usb_driver folder inside your Android SDK folder and select the android_winusb.inf file.
7.If you get any warnings prompts telling you that the driver might not be compatible, also just ignore, choose to continue installing.
8.Once the drivers have been installed, you should be able to use ADB with your device.
9.To confirm that your device is recognized, launch a Command Prompt window and enter these commands again:
Quick launch > Start button + R then type CMD and push enter and cd to your working folder
( For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\ )
cd.. [Enter] < type that until you only have your harddiskdrive shown.
cd program files (x86) [Enter]
cd Android [Enter] etc.
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb devices
Boot Tablet S into recovery:
a) Hold down power and volume UP button
b) when SONY logo appears, release power button but keep pressing volume UP button
c) should load into recovery
This also gives you the MTP device driver.

I can't just copy my winusb.inf because if you replace it you will loose other drivers, so this is 'the' correct way to do it,
Edit> And you are working on a Windows XP system which can give allot more issue's if you do, after I tought about it I don't know if everything will be compitable in Windows XP so that would be something you need to find out. and if someone can confirm if it can!
I hope I helped, and hope that I didn't tell you anything you already knew, and on top of that respect my not always that smooth English lol

I get your point but Sony would rather see their customers not to change their devices unless it is something official,
Android -> Google : Has made it like this that everyone with a little knowlege can add their toughts by making their own roms which is very smart because all the problems that will be solved bij non official developers can be used in next firmwares, and that just for free the fact is, if you brick your device it will loose warranty. if you have root access your warranty is also not more then a piece of paper,
Samsung Galaxy S2 shows up an /!\ Warning sign at start up if its rooted, because if you will brick the phone Samsung could easily see if it was bricked by the user, so I understand the reaction from Sony,
No hard feelings, but I just think that this is how it is
I can only recommend you an upgrade to a newer Windows version to either
Windows Vista or Windows 7 because I can confirm that these are compitable if you follow all the steps for rooting (Drivers etc.)

I am on Windows 7 and am a Java developer, didn't want ADB for rooting, want it for testing my apps. No offence but I have already had this conversation with Sony, hopefully the ICS update will make a difference. What would really help is if they just released official drivers like they do for their phones.

Yeah must admit that.
Thanks to a good link from Vanto to read here is the instructions as to how I got it to work,
This solved it for Winblows 7 64 bit. For others having the same problem on Winblows 7 64 bit (should be the same for 32 bit miuns the X86 Directory)
1. Go into settings on the prime and make sure USB debugging has a check in it in under SYSTEM > Developer options > USB Debugging
2. Plug your prime into your Winblows 7 laptop and let it install its drivers. Open up device manager by going to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > and click on device manager under devices and printers. If you see at the top of device manager ASUS Android devices and when you expand it you see ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface you already have the ADB drivers installed and can skip down to #6
3. Go to ASUS website and download the USB drivers for the TF201. Download Vipermod Primetime 4.6 here for the ADB drivers http://goo.im/devs/viperboy/Prime/viperMOD_PrimeTime_v4.6.zip then extract the zip file to a normal file. You only need the drivers from the tool.
4. Plug your prime into your Winblows 7 laptop and let it install its drivers. Open up device manager by going to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > and click on device manager under devices and printers.
5. You should see the prime listed under portable devices. Uninstall the driver then update the driver manually. Browse to the folder you created from the Vipermod primetime zip. Make sure there is a check in check sub folders. Winblows should detect the drivers and then convert the prime to a ASUS Android Device.
6. Go into settings on the prime and make sure there is no check in Launch ASUS Sync under PERSONAL > Accounts & Sync > Launch ASUS Sync
7. Press Control, Shift, Escape at the same time and make sure there are no instances of ASUS Sync or Splashtop runnung in services in Winblows 7.
8. Download and Install the latest Android SDK. I installed all the libraries and such just to be on the safe side. http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
9. DISCONNECT YOUR PRIME FROM THE USB AND REBOOT YOUR PRIME AND YOUR WINBLOWS LAPTOP. After both devices reboot plug in your tablet into your Winblows laptop.
10. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools and click on the ADB file. A command prompt will open and spool up a bunch of stuff then close. All the stuff spooling I am assuming was the ADB server starting.
11. Hold down shift then right click inside platform-tools folder and select open command prompt here. You should be in a command prompt window showing the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools
12. type adb devices. You should see your primes serial number pop up.
13. make a test file in the platform-tools directory, i just used a simple text file to test then type:
adb push test.txt /sdcard/
It would be easier to just put the Rom you are going to flash in this directory so when it is time to push the rom it would be:
adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/
If SDCARD not recognized try:
adb push nameofrom.zip /system/media/
14. browse to your sdcard and you should see your file there. If you are already in the sdcard folder window on your prime, leave the folder then come back and it should be there.
15. You should be able to push files now after superwiping. You may need to push to /system/media/ if /sdcard/ is not found. Make sure you have all the / in the directory structure when pushing.
16. From inside recovery select install zip from sdcard and browse to the folder you pushed it to then flash away.
If anything seems incorrect or out of order please let me know so I can correct it. If this helps you congrats but if not I'm sorry. This is how I got it to work.
As you have stated that prior to your windows re-install, everything had worked, thus I highly doubt that this could be the issue... but just to double check, you do have usb debugging enabled, right?
If you can, connect your transformer prime, and try executing {install directory}/android/platform-tools/adb.exe -devices and let us know what kind of output you get.

OK looking for a little help here. I am planning on doing the Super mega wipe in the dev section however ADB has not recognized my prime. I wanted to verify I could push to it a test file before I did the wipe. Under device manager it shows the whole Asus ADB interface device and that the device is "working properly" I also have a listing down in portable media devices where it states Transformer TF201. I have disabled Asus sync and do not have splashtop. When I connect my prime I can explore the internal SD and copy files back and forth over USB. I have also installed and updated the latest Android SDK. I am at a total loss here. I recently did a fresh install of windows and beforehand it used to work. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :cyclops:

make sure your adb files are the most updated once,
i had this problem before but thats just cause my adb was not updated
I recently battled with this and concluded that adb just doesn't work on Windows 64bit for the TFP. My advice, try to find an XP pc and do it through that. I posted in Prime_Full_Wipe thread in Dev section about this.
Wasted several hours trying to get adb to see the device. Tried so many device drivers.... Latest adb versions etc....

Mine did too when I unlocked but once I had a custom rom on it, it stopped working. I think the driver gets messed up by the custom rom making the pc see the TFP as something different to an Asus TFP.....

Hello could anyone please help me with rooting my zoostorm sl8 mini running ICS. I just don't know which rooting program to use and with one will work. I have search the web now for days and cant find anything.
Please Help!
Thanks:good:
Use the Qemu exploit
This can device can be rooted using DoomLords Xperia script. I have ported the script to linux as well for Ubuntu users,
The original script is here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038
I haven't tested the Windows script, but I assume it will work as I haven't changed anything, the Linux script has been fully tested and I have successfully rooted the sl8 mini using it.
For Windows see below:
1) Download the attached zip file and Super1Click zip file ( http://download.cnet.com/SuperOneClick/3000-2094_4-75447027.html ).
2) Unzip the zip files into a new folders (you can use 7-zip for this : http://www.7-zip.org/)
3) Power on the Zoostorm Sl8 Mini and boot it normally.
4) Go into settings, developer options and tick USB debugging
5) Go to settings, security and tick Allow installtion of non-Market Apps
6) Connect the table to the PC with a USB cable.
7) When the new Hardware Found Wizard find the Android device and can't find a driver, select install from speficic location and browse to drivers folder under the folder you just unzipped the Super1click file to.
8) The driver should install from here and will show as an Acer Android device.
9) If Windows complains about the driver not being signed tell it to continue anyway.
10) Reboot the Windows PC if requested by the Hardware installation Wizard.
11) Discconect and replug the USB cable.
12) Open a windows command prompt
13) Navigate to the folder where the unzipped rootsl8mini.zip files are.
14) type runme.bat
15) Read the blurb on the screen and press any key to root your tablet.
16) The Sl8 mini will reboot several times, after it has reboot for the last time your sl8 mini will now be rooted.
For Linux (Ubuntu Precise Pangolin)
1) Install Android SDK, make sure the folder where adb is located is in your shell path variable. See link for Ubuntu instructions (http://www.liberiangeek.net/2012/07...-androidsdk-in-ubuntu-12-04-precise-pangolin/)
2) Download the attached rootsl8mini.zip file and unzip it into a folder.
3) Go into the folder where you unzipped the file and make the runme.bat.sh file executable. (Myhost:$ chmod 777 runme.bat.sh)
4) Power on the Zoostorm Sl8 Mini and boot it normally.
5) Go into settings, developer options and tick USB debugging
6) Go to settings, security and tick Allow installtion of non-Market Apps
7) Connect the tablet to the PC with the USB cable.
8) Execute the runme.bat.sh script (Myhost:$ ./runme.bat.sh)
9) Read the blurb on the screen and press any key to root your tablet.
10) The Sl8 mini will reboot several times, after it has reboot for the last time your sl8 mini will now be rooted.
Enjoy
Thank you, do I go to unzipped file using command prompt?
Thanks
I have tried to root the tablet and it wont install the drivers, it keeps saying that the file is corrupted or missing.

Bought this tablet as a gift for my father and assumed that connecting it to a usb keyboard would be straightforward (yeap android noob ) . My question is , is that even possible? Is there a custom rom that can be installed, I presume after rooting the device that enables usb host mode?
Hey guys.
I have Samsung galaxy ace 5839i (stock for 5830i) and I am using it for a few years, but this problem came for the first time.
Always, when I try to connect my mobile to pc using cable, it just won't connect, it won't even show me the notification of connecting.
Before this problem, I connected it to fedora linux and it was succesful, but now? It won't show me that USB sign even in windows.
Any help?
Thanks in advance
@LiQuDiAk, basically s5839i and s5830 i are identical in many areas ,, few questions though,, did you root your device or you are on android 2.3.6 stock version / kernel 2.6.35.7 ?
when you are in your windows device manager ( while you are connected , do you see any exclamation / question marks in front of the corresponding driver), you can always uninstall your old driver, reboot , then try compiled driver in attachment , and reboot to take proper effect in your registry (tested on win xp/7 -32bit) . Also check your device settings>Application>Development > USB Debugging and make sure the option is checked. now lets check your debugging mode through ADB command and see if your device is being recognized. download platform zip attachment, unzip it and put the folder someplace like your desktop. Now open your command prompt (cmd) through whatever means you are comfortable and change directory (cd) to the unzip folder or simply open your folder and drag/drop adb.exe into your CMD to be in the right place very fast. Then type "adb devices" without quotation marks and report for more troubleshooting .Assuming your Samsung cable is not faulty of course.
@ehsanotaku Yes i did root my phone on pheonix fire rom. No i do not see any. And debugging is checked, that was my first guess why it was causing this. I was checking, whether my device is recognized in linux (only available OS in present) and it was NOT, but the cable is not faulty, because it was charging my phone... but i will do recognize process on windows, hope it will get better. But thanks so far!
so, the driver didnt help, but the adb devices got me something long which i do not completely understand (i am a girl and not IT) so...

off topic though, gender discrimination is prejudice,, sorry if you are offended . Learning from each other despite your gender, does not undermine your knowledge EVER mate You might find it hard to believe, but I am quite novice in android stuff myself ( learning a great deal from some female members though ).
Back to topic at hand now,,,So let Perfectly Clear take away the time-consuming tasks and fix some stuff ..1. so you can not access your sdcard's content from either systems,, even if you try some live bootable Ubuntu disk/flash into your system and boot it up,, you can't access the mount drive content , right?
2. screenshot of your device manger while you are connected always help mate
3. those long streams of numbers and words is supposed to be your device name , it means your device is communicating with your pc ( /sdcard/ should not be corrupted). You can push (copy ) some vital files to your device with following command :
again same path >> put some file into your desktop (drag/drop to cmd)
i.e: "adb push C:\Users\ehsanotaku\Desktop\test.txt /sdcard/"
back to your device and check root of your files with whatever file explorer you got to approve the theory
4. forgot to ask , just to be on the safe side your device is not in boot loop process, stuck on samsung splash screen or something like that, right?
okay, thanks!
1. I cannot access it trough USB to mobile way, but from SD card adapter, yeah I can (it is just the weird feeling, when you always have to put out your sd and do it that way, i would like to sort this out)
2. http://s1.postimg.org/nkta50u3x/Untitleddas.png I suppose the unknown device is my phone.
3. Just a question, my phone is not connected, i cannot access it and this doesn't help
4. Nope, it is working, i can access everything, just this connecting problem i have. anything else is running smoothly.
Let's say any of this will work, do you think flashing a stock rom will help? I am not sure, if this is problem of rom or not, so...
And maybe i wasn't clear (my bad if not) but when i plug the cable in my device and pc, pc will make this sound of new device found, but it wont show me anything, so my phone. It will charge, but it wont connect, it is behaving like it is on a charger and not connected to the phone.
@LiQuDiAk, Hasty actions are done in a hurry, sometimes without the necessary care or thought. Now let's not leap to any conclusion about your Android custom Rom and flashing back to stock. lets focus on your first most obvious problems, which is driver related.
You didn't declare your flavor of windows: i.e: Windows x86 based-PC;professional 7
Not so sure of your OS Name/Version and System Type, search "system information" in your search box.
Your task manger depicted ACPI x64 ( 64-bit system, no wonder previous 32-bit compatible didn't work out for you ).
Symptoms observed so far:
1. USB cable only charges ( remember your USB cable data line might be the culprit. Just in case of only charging, checking with another set recommended. Your USB port might be problem, some dirt or faulty data line, checking with another USP port doesn't heart though.
2. Windows recognizes something more (like in your case, struggling to find proper corresponding driver), but cannot see it as a Samsung android device (cannot allocate the installed USB drivers to the device).
-If you got Kies (Samsung proprietary software) installed on your PC, delete it with a descent uninstaller program such as CCleaner free version .Kies might cause driver conflict , use it as only last resort , if all drivers failed to communicate with s5830i device.
-Also Uninstall your previous given driver same way, now restart , back to system and grab set of universal Samsung Drivers from attachment .
3.Can't see your "USB connected" in Android notification bar, so you cant click on it and mount your storage data part while you are connected to your PC.
-Normally, when you plug in your Android device, Windows will recognize it as an MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) device and quietly mount it.
However, if you’ve ever attempted to unlock your device such as to install a new ROM or root it, then such miss behaviors might be expected occasionally .
Before i go for more troubleshooting , please provide a full screenshot from your "About Phone" page in your settings . I am quite curious about this phoenix Rom you have mentioned though . I am quite familiar with at least dozen of discontinued/ported projects, but never heard of such ported Rom from other models into s5830i .
Couple of solutions :
Navigate to your settings,Storage and touch the upper-right corner for the “USB computer connection” options, if you have this part available.
make sure “Media device (MTP)” is selected. ( if you have USB Utilities section or whatever added section in your custom settings go there . Selecting that will do the trick. If it does not, then you likely have a driver problem.
Open your device manager, Right click on your unrecognized device in question, choose update driver software, choose Browse my computer, find it through given x64 drivers in your package ,Restart. ( After a successful installation, restart your PC, you must have something like the picture in attachment ) .
Problem was not resolved, Uncheck your debugging option, power off your phone. Now hold Volume(+) + Home + Power for a couple of seconds simultaneously to get to your Samsung Recovery or your Clockwork Recovery, choose Reboot( might be some process/service in your background, which interfere with your Auto USB connected feature of your device. See if the problem is being resolved .
Problems have been persisting, we might need to format your SD card, but before that, insert it into your card reader, in your file explorer window choose Tools>Folder options>select view tab> tick your select hidden file.folders. Now copy all of your SD card's contents into some folder, safe inside your PC.
We can format your card through your clockwork mod recovery console, or some partition tools such as free mini partition wizard,,
problem still persist? let me know
Hey
After some rest with this, my mobile got it solved (dunno why, just once tried to do it and it works.)
So, thank you very much with your answers!!!!
And about that screenshots, I will PM you
But, really, thanks a lot, mate!!!!
Step by Step Guide to Install Windows 11+Bypass TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, and Ram Check
Hello everyone! This guide will explain how you can get a copy of Windows 11 Insider Preview without having to deal with enrolling your Microsoft account via the Windows Insider Program! This is a UUP dump copy of Windows 11 ISO file. You do not need to have a Activated Windows 10 copy to do this! There is a lot of debate and speculation going around dealing with Windows 11 not running on a older PC without TPM 2.0, Secure boot, and 4GB ram. This method / fix is a registry edit that injects bypass code that will overlook TPM, Ram, and Secure Boot into the registry " IF " you get the infamous "Windows 11 cannot be installed on this PC" . This is a temporary fix and I assume this will be patched upon first non-developer release of windows 11 arrives! If you want to use this guide to just get a stand alone copy of Windows 11, go ahead.
How do I get the copy of Windows 11?
1. Open your favorite browser and navigate to
( www.uupdump.net )
2. Click on Dev Channel.
3. Find ( Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22000..51 (co_release) amd64 ) and click the link.
4. Pick your Language.
5. Choose the version of Windows 11 you want to download and DE-select the other versions.
6. On the next page, go ahead and click " Create Download Package "
7. Open the file after it has finished downloading.
8. Open a NEW folder and Navigate to the Local Disk C Folder.
9. Once you are inside Local Disk C, create a NEW folder and name it ( Win11 )
10. Open up the file you downloaded from uupdump again and copy and paste all the files to the brand new folder you created inside the C directory.

Now that you have yourself a copy of Windows 11, we can now explore the different options of installing. You can actually take the ISO file and mount it to your PC and install Windows 11 right from your Desktop, you can choose the route of using a USB Drive to install, or you can use a CD but lets be honest.. a CD?
Method #1 USB 8GB / Clean Install
1. Grab another device such as a phone, tablet, or another PC and bring this guide up on that device.
2. Shut Down your PC and boot into your BIOS.
3. Load Setup Defaults and Exit Saving Changes. ( You might have to thumb around for a minute to find some of these options in future steps ).
4. Your PC will restart and Boot into BIOS again.
5. If you have option to Enable TPM, do it. If you don't have this option, do not worry. Continue to the next step...
6. Set the boot mode to UEFI. If you have option for both UEFI and LEGACY, choose UEFI.
7. Enable Secure Boot if you have the option.. If you don't have the ability to change, don't worry. Continue to the next step...
8. Exit BIOS and save changes. Your PC will boot up to OS now.
9. Open your browser and navigate to https://rufus.ie and download.
10. Plug in your USB Drive and open Rufus.
11. Inside Rufus, select your USB drive you want to use for installing Windows 11 and then find the Windows 11 ISO file that you downloaded and let Rufus create the install drive..!
12. Keep your USB Drive plugged into your PC and turn off the power then boot into BIOS again.
13. Find the Boot Menu inside of your BIOS and select the USB drive to boot first.
14. You should boot to the Windows Installer now. Choose your Language and continue.
15. Select " I don't have product key " and continue.
OK, so If you made it to this point and you are faced with the message of " Windows 11 cant be installed on this computer " don't freak. This portion of the guide is only for the people who are stuck with the message above.. If you don't see this message, continue to step #16 please..!
How do I Bypass the Windows 11 TPM 2.0, Ram, and Secure Boot check?
1. Open the Command Prompt by pressing SHIFT and F10 Key at the same time..
2. Now type " Notepad " inside of the CMD and press enter.
3. Now copy and paste or type out the following text once the notepad loads in...
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\LabConfig]
"BypassTPMCheck"=dword:00000001
"BypassSecureBootCheck"=dword:00000001
4. Now, click on file at the top left and select save as and click on This PC and find the USB drive or any other internal drive and make sure to click save as type (all files) at the bottom of the window and name the file
" Bypass TPM, Secure Boot & RAM Check.reg " then click on save.
( When you save this file, make sure you are able to access again. I don't care where you save it but it needs to be accessible )
5. Once you saved, click on file again, click on This PC, and browse to the registry file you just created. Once you are in the directory where the registry file was saved, find the drop down menu at the bottom and select All Files again and you will see the newly created Bypass registry file you created.
6. Right click on the Bypass Registry file and choose the " Merge " option and click OK on the following prompts then close all the windows except the install window. Click the back arrow button inside the install window, and continue the setup from step #15 please.
16. Select Windows Version you want and click next.
17. Accept the EULA and continue... Now you select Custom Install and you will see all of your drives on your computer. With this being a clean install, we will want to delete each drive partitions ( Make sure you double check what you are deleting and understand whats happening ), then click on Unallocated space and click next.
18. Now, Windows 11 will install and you go about your way!

One more thing to keep in mind everyone...Windows 11 is obviously in Developer mode and Microsoft will be pushing these cumulative updates out frequently. Hopefully we will be getting a new solid build soon and I will adjust the means of upgrading to them if needed. For now, these are the 2 best ways to use Windows 11 if you don't choose to enroll in the Windows Insider Program, don't have a genuine copy of Windows 10, and/or your PC doesn't meet the new" Requirements" for TPM 2.0, Ram Check, and Secure Boot Microsoft has laid upon everyone...
Good Day
R U damn sure that Windows 11 being installed this way will be fast on PC's with less than 4GB of ram?
Finally! Installed without issue. My machine meet all the requirements except for the cpu, which is a intel 6th gen.

OK so I can't promise it will be buttery smooth...
This is a developer build and there is more updates to come soon!
This method will ensure you can run the OS thanks to the registry edit
Let me know how it runs

I understand what you mean..
Depending on how big of a HDD you have, I could make a step by step guide on how to dual boot Win10 and Win11 if you want to try it out. And another thing is that Windows 11 is in Developer Mode now so there will be things that don't seem as good and polished quite yet
You can run it no problem but I cant promise you it will be everything you hope a dream about
What about the beta build released hours ago?

I got the message this pc can’t run Windows 11. Said not the right processor. No TPM. No legacy boot. Wrong motherboard. I am using SDD drive for Windows. I know this can cause installation issues with Windows. Usually there is a serial boot driver for Windows.Swapped with the Mega file. Then followed the steps given. Message was gone. Windows installer completed the check up then asked how to install. I chose to keep all files and apps. The install began. After a few seconds pop up said install failed. Progress never changed. Stayed at 0. Is there an explanation for this?
win Health check says i cant run win 11, but when i go to system - about this is what i see.
