Installing a CWM, no.
But, there is a bootstrap app that works perfect
You can find all the info in this thread

uhm i just bought a Photon 4g and i need to downgrade my Software Version to root and install roms how would i do it? And which Software version has ICS on it i want to try it
What version are you on?
No reason to downgrade to root and rom.
45.3.7.MB855.Sprint.en.US
it wont let me root so i was wondering if i need to downgrade to get root?
and if i dont and i root would i be able to install CM9 and unlock the bootloader?
Not sure what root method you are using.
I had success using photon torpedo method. You shouldn't need to downgrade.
Once you are rooted you can then proceed to unlock and install CWM recovery. I use the one from romracer, since i have had no issues installing any rom with it.

- Don't need to downgrade to root
- Don't need to worry about software version
- You do need to unlock your bootloader - READ lokfish's compendium on how to do it properly
- You do need to flash CWM 5.0.2.7 or joker's CWM
- You do need to make a back up of your set up prior to flashing ICS
- You do need to follow instructions on how to flash ICS - check QBKING77's videos
hi, i was able to root with Photon Torpedo (yay! so easy!)
then I d/led Rom Manager and noticed that CWM Recovery had support for Photon 4G, so thought I'd give it a go
little did i know that the support was broken.
what can i do? to "uninstall" CWM Recovery?

.. sorry man tried to look and i can't seem to find any 2.3.5 SBF files for you or even the stock recovery image.
Yea, 2.3.5 is locked down atm. No custom recoveries. Are you sure you installed it with the rom manager app? You can boot into recovery? If you can, you should be able to just flash a zip to change recoveries

You can't use bootstrap to flash roms for unlocked bootloaders like the one you flashed. You might have to follow this thread to get it working again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849526
Thank sir my photon detail as per i know

follow the links posted in the previous post. android 2.3.5 is with locked bootloader so after rooting only flash roms for locked bootloader like peetr_ hybrid rom.

I tried to flash my atrix 4g using rsd lite with sbf file. Following error is coming and phone is not booting , got stuck with M logo.
SUF:1081:2
failed to boot 3
starting RSD mode
Help needed from experts to solve the problem.
I tried to flash it again through the same process but no use.

ok yeah, that's a good idea. lets ask for help but give practically no information. What version did you flash? what stock version did you have before customizing? unlocked bootloader?

did you do fastboot oem unlock before flashing that?
I used RSD lite 5.7 and sbf file of 2.3.6 Movistar America and flashed my Atrix 4g.
And got my Atrix back in work.
Now where I can get sbf file of ICS or Jellybean so that I can flash again and upgrade my Atrix.
I know that Motorola has not provided official update but still I want to take chance.
Previously I have installed CM7 and CM10.1 but I didn't like it and also the phone is rebooting constantly.

Congrats! Now you are on the most up to date sbf. There is no ICS or JB sbf file. There is, however, an unofficial official ICS release (AtrICS v2.0), CM9 (4.0.4), CM10 (4.1.2), and CM10.1 (4.2.2) ROMs available to flash via CWM.

No,there isn't.
And you can't flash stock rom with SS...or any custom GB rom because you're on ICS.
