Same observations: ROM is as smooth as butter and quick. Data and WiFi acquisition is same as OEM sense. Excellent job! @sportsstar89
Only problems I've seen are the same as @jeepers007 evervolv kitkat, default browser and some gapps aren't rendering properly. They show as all black or have black blocks. Also camera issues, which has been mentioned. Again great work!
Awwww yeahhhh time for some CM styled Kitkat on the Amaze
Sportsstar is the man!
adapting for 3.4 kernel
hey sports is it alot of work to adapt a CM rom for the 3.4 kernel? if not can you adapt this or any JB version roughly for 3.4 kernel?? it's easier to test the kernel with a aosp rom than a sense rom..i dont have the minimum requirements to build up a rom from source cuz my whole pc has like less than 10GB free hard space ... just for the testing purposes of radio BT WIFI and sensors and audio :good:
This is awesome! Thanks for the great work!
Will have to revert back to jelly but once black box problem is solved
looking forward to this as daily driver.
I seem to be messing this install up, so I'm going to go back to your other awesome version. But first, a question:
Which gapps should one use with this?
Thank you,

I've been using PA Gapps and seems to work well. I've tried another in that past with Evervolv but can't remember which one but worked just as well...
here's a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 there seems to be a lot there!
Are those constant issues like call/speaker volume not working or external SD card mounting fixed at last? Is there maybe any chance of these fixes being backported to, say, 10.1 or 10.2?

This beast is really fast and fluent. Still digging around to see what works and what doesn't. Will update later on this matter. So far impressed. Calls work, data works; LTE and 3g. Really like the fact that I didn't have to do mess with viper4android just installed and the drivers were there. Will not be able to test BT as I don't have anything right now that I can pair to. So far first impressions are great. Thanks for the work that was put into this. Any questions please ask. Well update on what works and what doesn't later.
Edit. Themes and or theme manager does not work and the ability to boot into bootloader or recovery would be nice.

All AOSP ROMs work on whl, wl, and m8.
This rom reminds me of GPe but it's AOSP. Good deal!! Clean and simple. Can't wait to see what other settings will pop up in the Illusion Settings.
I'll be keeping an eye on this one xbox!! Everything that should work, did.
What all variants is this compatible with? Sprint?

the sprint variant is the whl, and all aosp roms are compatible unless otherwise specified, they are unified for the m8
Is this rom based on cyanogen? I'm on verizon and the cm roms are giving me a bunch of wifi issues. Also does the camera work on this rom?

It wouldn't make any difference. Its all AOSP ROMs. Cyanogemod or not, you'll have the same issues.

We'll crap. Thanks man. I've heard that htc locked up some wifi hardware so others couldn't mess around with it? I guessing that's causing some of the problems random people are having. Honestly, do you feel that this will all get worked out?

It always gets worked out, like anything just a few teething problems to start with.

This ROM, like previous Illusion ROMs I've used in the past for other devices runs quite well. Only thing holding me back from daily driver use is the persistent WiFi bug plaguing all the current AOSP M8 builds.

I hear you, man. It's really annoying. Not sure what we can do about it though.
