Lewa os is a ROM from Chinese. It is smoother than miui. As a matter of fact,lushenduan has already do it,but he can't make ota weekly. So I continue to make it. And it will become multi language in the future.

LEWA OS 5
LeWa OS (Chinese:乐蛙), or sometime also called as Music Frogs or жабка, is a third-party Android ROM produced by a Chinese company Lewa Technology. It mainly focus on developing ROMs for 1000-reminbi-phone(around US$126). As of April 2013, they have more than 2 million users, and as of July 2012, they are the Top 3 custom Android ROM in China, together with MIUI and DianXin OS(or called as Tapas OS). Lewa is also the first-ever custom Android ROM in the world that supports dual-SIM standby feature.The ROM includes its own lewa market, a power save mode, adjustable switches in notification bar, and some other modifications that are "optimized and localized" for Chinese users. It release new version via OTA update once a week every Friday.[ Other than models that are officially supported, phones can also use lewa by using ROM that are ported by others or by users themselves. Some believes that it provide a user experience and design that's similar but better than iOS or MIUI, some commentator also point out that the ROM is simple and energy-saving. However, there are also some Chinese commentator say that this system consume more battery over stock android.

I tried, many thanks
A very nice rom, thanks.
I am neither chinese nor I can speak chinese, so it took a little while to get how to change the language, until I found a little useful youtube video. Later on, I was able to set locales to italian so that even the services which rely on locales are running fine.
Apart from that, the rom is almost as smooth as cm 4.4.2, the dialer is great and can be used on one-handed mode. The recent apps' panel is very easy to be used even while holding the phone with the left hand and the general look and feel is very close to miui but with everything working well.
The superuser app is built in, so as the cyanogenmod one is.
The rom hasn't got any special handwriting keyboard or app and sports the standard aosp keyboard, so I installed the lg keyboard and edited the build.prop to use the keyboard on one-handed mode too (just a matter of taste).
You can set camera to save photos to the ext sdcard.
There is a remarkable choice for themes too.
This rom, in my opinion can be a good choice also for people who don't speak chinese ... I am looking forward to testing a 4.4.2 based version
Just one thing: after installing each app from the google play store, you have got to reboot, while installation goes straight when using the built-in app.
just put this on my phone and really like it apart from struggling to download anything from the Play Store.

I tried but not happy with Playstore thing its taking ages to download a small app even sometimes stops in between no matter what connection I use wifi or data 4g. I will see what I can do to fix this up.
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda app-developers app
Well, the time to download a single app from the play store looks the same as usual, but the store gets stuck at 100% so I press home and then I go to the task manager and force close the store and open it again, so that the downloaded app gets installed. It is not very handy, but it works and requires at most 15 seconds.
I have tried to fix this thing myself in several ways, but I have so far been unable to do it and the logcat was pretty useless.
Apart from this issue, the rom is very good and very battery gentle. Lets say it compares to the stock 4.1.2 tw rom.

Hey, guys,
I'm developing an online kitchen to help everyone even without any knowledge of programming or kitchening customize to their own android rom.
Below is the interface of my website.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Basically, here's how it works
Choose a your device
Choose a core (base rom), like CM_7.2_RC1 or CM_7.1_Stable
Choose the built-in apps. Here you can remove the built-in apps that you never use. For example, I like CM 7.2 rom, but I never use the built-in camera and message. Instead I use Go SMS Pro and Camera360. In this case, I could remove them by un-checking Camera and Message checkbox.
Submit your request
Download your core.zip and apps.zip. [Core.zip] contains all rom data except all built-in apps. [apps.zip] contains all built-in apps except ones you un-checked.
Flash them into your phone!
Done!

Right now, online kitchen only support Nexus One, CM 7.2 RC1 and CM 7.1 as core. In future, it would:
Support more devices and cores.
Allow you to add your own apks to the rom as built-in apps
Customize cores (patch kernel, remove unnessasary language files and etc.)
Personalization (Add your name to "About phone") Anyone could tell me is this possible? I mean, is this legal or against open source?
blah blah blah

I'm thinking "include our own apps from pc" too. However, this may cause a problem that users may include say 1 million apks to their rom . Anyway, this function is not hard to implement. You will see it

Now the online kitchen could remove some wallpapers and themes which save you about 10mb space. For ringtones, well, it is a kind of complicated story. I will try.

WOW amazing so many days trying to get new roms ... and finally my favorite like under Galaxy S2.
Thousand THX for this release.
Unfortunately Im hitting the SIM lock pin issue (I think current MIUI version still has this). I now realise when trying your original ATT version of this I had somehow picked up the 4.1.2 Miui so I havent been able to get this working.
I'm unfortunately with carrier requiring the SIM code each time. Perhaps others in the Int user base have better luck
None the less, fantastic of you to do this Int version for us on top of the other versions you had been providing already! I will hold out until the MIUI code gets the fix..

I'm loving this phone, I came from a Galaxy S4 and it was definitely worth the upgrade, but the "S Finder" and "Quick connect" buttons in the notification drawer are bugging me since I have no intention of ever using either app. I looked through the settings and I didn't notice anything to disable this unlike how you can turn off the recommended apps (earphones). I already tried to see if you could turn the apps off in the application manager but it's not an option. Anyone figure out if this is possible?
They're bugging me, too.

Ya know I was kind of curious so I just looked it up and I think your right. I think that those buttons where removed in the at&t, sprint and verizon versions. (along with the download booster). They are in the international and the T-mobile versions though. I think that T-mobile is the only carrier which released the S5 with very little personal modifications of there own and therefor is almost identical to the international version (which is the one released direct from Samsung). That is probably also the reason why the international roms work on our phone. I think that all they did was just install there apps. Cool! T-mobile is getting better and better all the time.
Some reason I can't quote you on this app now, but anyways; I haven't gotten my hands on a AT&T version to verify it, but my buddy has a AT&T one so I called and asked if he had it and he said no, so it's hear say I guess lol
But that would be good if we could flash international on it

This is annoying me as well. I think those not yet able to craft their own ROMs (like me), are gonna need to wait. If you're feeling adventurous, you maybe try installing [ROM][G900F][4.4.2]-AllianceROM-OTA Nightlies (the F and T models are similar I believe) and providing the developers with feedback.
Edit: There's also the possibility that [APPS][4.1+] Google Experience Launcher (GEL App + Google Search App) will work, as described by the article How to get the Google Experience Launcher on the Galaxy S5 which I found via this post (go thank him if it works).

FAQ
What type of kernel does this use?
AOSP kernels. I, personally, use ElementalX.
Where's my root access?
Look up a little bit, above the FAQ section.
Where is ART?
It seems that this is a hybrid 4.3-4.4 build of android, mainly KitKat, but features such as ART and Immersive have yet to be implemented.
What about Immersive mode?
Read the question directly above this one. Immersive is partially present, but seems to be statusbar-only.
OK will try does this have a lot of settings for themes etc...

Themes haven't been fully implemented yet. You can test some of its current, limited functionality by going to Settings > Display > Wallpaper > Themes.

I notice it in the Copy/Paste mainly, but the order is easy to remember.

Are you sure you can use ElementalX with this? I've been running it since the first beta was released, but every time I try to flash a custom kernel it fails to boot at all. Also you should note that if you flash GAPPS the weekly automatic OTAs will fail due to the way MIUI implement weekly patches - checks for system apps and if it finds anything it is not expecting then it fails.

You can use ElementalX as long as you use the AOSP version. As for the GApps issue, I think I mentioned something about that in the OP. I'd have to double-check.
EDIT: I didn't mention that issue specifically, but I did mention to check that thread for details with root and GApps.

Amazing!
Thank you so much! This is amazing! A nice change from stock Android
I also have the Chinese characters in the copy/paste text popup even though I selected English. Definitely not a big deal though
Thanks OP!

Care to check General Chat? I was told to put the thread there by a mod due not being "original" (by me). Otherwise it's duplicated...
Have used the rom.... its sad we can only choose the V5 to flash.. the previous V4 is way better.. there is no theme to choose for V5 and all the icon fonts and logo are tiny winy...

This is actually v6, based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Nice, but XDA and GPL require a link to kernel source included with the ROM. AOSP really means .... nothing as it's only a generic term.

There is no v6.. Search at en.miui.com and you would not find it.. This is just v5 based on kitkat.. Still a nice looking rom though!

Booted fine using TWRP 2.7.1.0. So far it seems to be working fine. Google Search crashes when Hotword Detection is on, but works with it disabled. I haven't tested bluetooth yet, but I'll check it out in a little while and report back. I've not had good luck with bluetooth in my car with CM-based ROMs, but we'll see.
Overall, looks good
Tried Bluetooth in my car and it works.

Great work mate! "Something different" is what us nexus users need!
Cheers!
How did I miss this, me & my flashing disease. I'll flash the version in op & wait for next one too. I've moved to the LG G3 but no custom recovery, but because if that I still got my nexus 5 to fix my flashing needs.
