yep.
Flash a Stock FTF via flashtool (if not on one already)
Flash recovery for locked BL (if wanted/needed)
Use the same too that you used to back up the TA to restore it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598
Check that it is again locked (test xreality or use the service code that I cant remember)

[METHOD?] Relock the bootloader (unlocked with test point method)

Hey guys.
Two days ago i have flashed back my SK17i to stock rom.
I updated from FOTA.
I didn't know i must relock bootloader before updating from FOTA, so i bricked my phone.
After 2 minutes of deep panic, i've flashed the relock .ftf file, but it won't work on phones unlocked with test point.
So, i found a way to relock bootloader and go back to stock. (On forums i didn't see any guide regarding the method to relock bootloaders unlocked by test point)
I've done in this way:
1) Flashed stock kernel
2) Flash the .ftf relock file
3) With S1Tool hit restore
The phone is now bootloader locked, without losing of DRM!
Sent from my SK17i using XDA App
could you please give more info about that i was unlocked my st18i and than i flash stock firmware with wolan server and than i rooted my device but i do not know how i can relock it. I tried flashtool and relock.ftf but the program can't see loader.bin it just saw preset.ta and i afraid to do that please help me to relock my phone...

Did you tried to download the latest version of flashtool?
Also, try to re-download the ftf file from another mirror, you should able to relock bootloader.

brov dont really understand dis, please break it down a little bit!
I just registered to confirm this method works. I foolishly allowed a FOTA yesterday and bricked my phone. It was unlocked via testpoint so the relock method didn't work, even though I tried it! I also tried flashing with S1tool with generic firmware and that didn't work. Then just out of curiousity/desperation I clicked on the RESTORE button in S1 and my phone actually started but was now locked again. I re-did the testpoint unlock this morning so now my phones fully updates and working with my SIM of choice.
I don't know if you need to do all the flashing as it may just be the RESTORE that does the trick. I definitely won't be allowing any OTA from now on. Lesson learned!
Just to confirm, so long as I do the update via PCCompanion or SEUS software I wont need to do all this?
Files to download please?

If you unlocked your bootloader with test point, no need to flash anything, just press restore button in s1tool.
anyone tried this method to relock the bootloader which unlocked by test point method and still have the sim/network unlock

if free , can you access the fastboot mode??

Sony Xperia Ulta c6806

I read in the Developers forums that you can get Cwm for Locked Bootloaders. Ive been trying to get it for a week and can this be done? I bought the Ultra at Bell and it says its model number c6806 and its locked.

Yes. here it is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426739
However just because you have CWM, doesn't mean you can flash ROM's.
All you can do is flash Root, and other mods.

sorry for the quick question, but would that work on the C6802 on .257, with locked bootloader? i've been wondering if i could get root without unlocking the bootloader(to preserve warranty).

yes you can root with a locked bootloader.
to unlock your bootloader you need to have root access.
You can always backup your TA partition, and then unlock bootloader, and then restore the TA partition and restore bootlock as well.
many possibilitites

hey thank you sir for the response. I got my phone with .257 version already on it tho, and from what I'm reading, I can't find a way to root on .257 without unlocking the boot loader. is this correct?
as I see it, the only option I have on .257 is to unlock the bootloader with the Sony method, but no way to root first. am I mistaken? thanks!

What you could do is use flash tool to go back to another firmware, then root, and then update to the newest version. But not flashing the kernel. then you can flash the modified kernel with CWM, and then flash the new kernel afterwards.
I think there is a tutorial on here that tells you how to do it.

ah yes, OK, that's what I was wondering, whether it is possible to downgrade the firmware with a locked boot loader, using Flashtool. perhaps I will try.. thanks
I just remember on some other devices I've had, a locked boot loader wouldn't allow a firmware downgrade.

[Q] Unroot lock boot restore for warranty

Well I've searched 9 different times and this has not come up, although surely this hadn't been agreed before so I'm probably using the wing keywords:
I want to take my phone to the '3' site for a warranty repair. I need to unroot my phone, but I've been reading on here things about TA partition, DRM, warranty codes, locking boot loader back to stock, and some 'magic number' that needs to be resest to zero. the 'unroot' guides I have read do not touch on these.
I have no TA backup, magic number or anything else, just a rooted unlocked phone flashed with GPE 4.4
Anyone have a link to the definitive guide please
Thanks

You can lock it with flashtool, but you wont have the DRM keys if they check
@blueether. Thank you for quick reply.
So my phone's bootloader had been unlocked, right? How to check to see if some features of the TA still in the phone? I still see x-Reality for mobile available under Display menu.
---------- Post added at 10:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:06 PM ----------
In flashtool I see a file X-10_V1_BLRlock. Can I use this file to re-lock my Z Ultra's bootloader?

I would say yes it is unlocked, mine says same and it is unlocked. If yours were still locked it would say "allowed " rather than "yes" for bootloader unlock.

this does not mean ur bootloader is UNLOCKED! it means you can unlock the bootloader of your phone, if it says no, that means
you cant unlock it. to make the story short, u still need to perform the unlocking procedure of your phone.
if you didnt do that, u are safe because ur bootloader is still locked!
i was once a victim of this all i thought my bootloader is unlocked since the configuration showed "yes"
I flash a custom rom and boom my phone is DEAD!!!

This is not correct, if it says "allowed :yes" or "allowed :no" it is locked. If it says "yes" without including allowed it is unlocked.
In the interest of not opening another thread - say I had my TA partition. What would be the process of restoring the phone? Flash rom, flash TA, lock bootloader, reboot?

This will only allow restore certain features (X-Reality, Noise cancelling etc) - It won't allow apps that require the DRM keys to be present to actually be used, so far this seems to be the Playstation/Remote Play apps.

The mod linked above doesn't relock the bootloader, it just restores some features.
If you want to relock your bootloader, you'll need to flash the original kernel. More info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52567280#post52567280
Search also returns quite a few threads with more info.

Nope, even after relocking the bootloader, the features you listed still require the original and unique DRM keys to function - the only real way to restore their functionality properly is either by the mod above or restoring the TA partition that held the DRM key info.

Not possible to backup TA after unlocking bootloader.
U need to unlock your device bootloader first. Then find custom twrp for your device and flash that. Finally flash my kernel to fix picture issue.
