I'm pretty sure its your phone way of saying there is something wrong with the software in your phone. Its meant to let you go in and uninstall any malicious or faulty software... I think. At least, that's what I understood from Google. Because Google, as it seems, is my best friend
He could be yours too, all you have to do is ask...

fine bro but i think that i had mistakenly pressed the volume up/down button (i dont know) and then i entered it

Safemode looks like when you clear data of your phone. It actully hides your phone data and makes your phone fast. You can go to into safe mode by holding option key while you see samsung logo on the screen at the time of booting.

Accidentally? Like, you accidentally did hold the menu key for about a minute until the lock screen appears?
Unless you get a FC loop with some application which makes it impossible to use the GUI normally due to constant crash messages, you do not need safe mode. Period.

Galaxy S Player 4.0 US Black Screen

I had a Pc...!....Cellphone logo so after that I tried flashing it but in the middle there were some errors which caused the player to turn off. After turning it back on it is Black Screen but you can tell the difference that it turned on. I tried going into the download mode but I couldn't. I know that there is a simple fix for that because that happened yesterday and I was able to recover it but then I messed up again.
turn it off and press and hold power button and volume up button same time select reboot now should work xD

You may bricked you device.do you have CWM installed? If yes, press volume up(hold)-power button(until Samsung logo appear(4-5 secs)) Then
Backup and restore>backup
When this finish restore and you are maybe done...Always before flash a ROM Back up with CWM!!!
If no,tell what rom you where trying to install, and we WILL fix it.
Don't forget to press the tanks button

I was trying to use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531850. And I don't have it CWM installed. First I did the Intl. so the digitizer was responding up-side down and then I tried getting it back to US but didn't work. This is my first android device so I don't know much but if there is another way or post which tells how to get back to factory perfectly fine then tell me.
The reason I did this all was because whenever I tried to turn on the wifi it said Error and sometime turning on and then error again.
You mean wifi don't work?At what rom is this happening?stock or the one you installed?look,if you don't have CWM you can't install a ROM,so neither brick your device.I'm sorry, but there is a chance to fix it ONLY if you find a way into download mode.I am starting now the post about CWM.In about half an hour it will be posted and I will give the link

If you flashed something via Odin from your computer, and if you did the correct steps (with default odin settings), then your device should reboot automatically by itself at the end of the process.
If not, you have two choices :
Let power off button pushed for some seconds until device turns off
Remove your battery

None of these methods work for me. All that seems to do it for me is a battery pull. Is there no other way? Holding power doesn't exit, nor any of the other things that people have said "work".

Can't access download mode

I've previously installed a stock ROM, which I use to this day.
Now, I can't get into download mode.
I hold down Vol Down, Home and Power but nothing happens. The phone keeps booting normally.
Any ideas? :\
I ask because I wish to install a different stock ROM.

[Q] Phone reset

Hi guys,
I forgot the pin-code to my Galaxy S2, not to the sim, to the phone.
I can't go into recovery mode or download mode, due to a broken home-button.
Is there any way I can like hack the pin, or reset the phone without having to use my home button?
Maybe by using my pc or something?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Man I thought it was impossible to get into download mode but you got me there!
Unfortunately I do not see the "Clear Storage" option.
The volume down button gets me into a reboot.
Volume up gets me to downloading.
Is there any way I can get into recovery? Or download something to the phone that resets it?
And eh, multitasking, that is kind of hard with no home button.
The back button gets some more use since the home button has died haha

If you want to get yourself into recovery mode try something simpler
A cwm manager app
It has the option boot into recovery

Problem is, I cannot acces my phone so I can't install apps
I'm thinking about flashing another rom, only I can't wipe cache and factory reset before doing that.
What are the risks of that? And is there a big chance of this going wrong?

Thanks, flashing right now.
Had flashed a few hours ago, but still got asked for the pin.
Though then I had to register the phone (name, language, that stuff) and after that I was in the phone, and did not have to enter the pin.
Doing that again right now, hoping to get to settings and then get to factory reset
Thanks for your help so far.
Then another question popped up:
To get another kernel I need recovery mode right?
And to get rooted I need a rooted kernel?
So can I root my device without home button and without recovery menu?
