Hi guys,
I am using my Galaxy Mega for 7 months and bored of the Samsung Bloatware, i want to flash some original Android like CM or others. But i dont know my phone has this Knox stuff or not. How do we understand that is it safe or not safe to root these devices. My about page is like this:

Thanks for answers.
I did rooting and flashing roms on my sgs vibrant before. So i am not a complete noob. But I read some post which are saying that they had updated firmware and they bricked their phone when they tried to root. Thats why i am asking.
Go into download moda and check if there is knox. If there is, you cant and you cannot downgrade. It will cause a brick.

Why? Any differences?
I st one is kernal plus root in one package
the 2nd one is just stock kernal only.
Rooted "officially" by Samsung or by someone else?
Maybe just mirror???

Click to collapse
samsung dont do "official" rooted roms, no one does.
And it looks like just a mirror.
Quick question about Galaxy S2 rooting.

I'm planning on using GT-I9100M_MKG2_insecure kernel from here to root my phone and then I would like to flash back to stock kernel so I don't have the yellow warning triangle.
My question is, is there a way to keep this original kernel I have (because the closest I can find is GT-I9100M_MKG2_original)?
OR is there any really awesome kernels that I should just replace my stock with?
Any other general advice is also appreciated.
Thanks!
There are many kernels in the development section, only you can say if kernel is awesome as only you would use your phone.
Withing each kernel thread you would see users reporting whether a kernel was good for them or not, but only when you flash, then you would know...
Hi guys!
I know there are already threads related to rooting the SGS2 for noobs..but my concern is my phone's build number .XWLA1..

It's posible? Sry for my bad english and thank u.
There might be an app which does that (the caller screen), but I have never heard of it. Try to search for one
Getting an AOSP theme (dont know if they exist, they were popular with HTC Sensation and tbh i have never searched for something like that with sgs3) is an option too
Or you can flash AOSP/AOKP/CM10
I flashed stock rom from theese roms. Coz they have many bugs ..
anyway thanks for the reply.
Hi
I have a G925I (indian version) and i am contemplating rooting my device
Is there anything I should be worried about except knox trip. , Fingerprint scanner works after root?
I have rooted all my phones and the best performance only comes from custom roms.
My phone on stock rom gives me terrible battery life and runs hot on normal usage. Have factory resetted twice but nothing changes.
I have attached a screenshot mentioning the build my phone is running.
Thanks in advance!!
