When I am on the phone and a second call comes in all I do is answer the call and the first call is placed on hold automatically. Problem is when I try to return to the call on hold, I can't. I tap the Hold banner, I tried swiping, I've hit the menu button looking for some way to return to my original call, but nothing. And when i press "end" it cancels both calls. I hear about these "place on hold buttons" but I've never seen one. Any one with help it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael S

I found the way how to set it so you can answer the incoming call by pressing the home button instead of sweeping the screen - because it sometimes doesn't respond at all. But is there any way to end the call the same way - instantly by pressing the home button? Could't find it in any settings. Need to be setting in stock firmware, not moded at all.
Thank you
You can end the call by pressing the power button. Settings>Call>Answering/Ending>"The power key ends call"

Thanks for the tips. I don't know about this option before.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
I know that, but I want to end the call by pressing the home key, not the power key.
Carlitos... can you tell me how you changed the sweeping option to answer the call ???? I assume that this will still have both options to answer the call right ?????
Thanks in advance...
Any answer please....

Thanks my friend...
Would also love to be able to switch the home and endcall keys while in conversation
I know there is an app that can remap keys, however, I only want those keys remapped while calling.
No one has taken up this challenge? Amazing. Seems like it's not enough of a challenge for the experts here. Otherwise this would be very useful instead of having to look for the power key every time to end calls
Hi
Samsung galaxy ace, android 2.3.3.
When I call someone, after the call is ended, the dial screen disappears, and to terminate the call I have to
1. press the middle button at the bottom
2. swipe left to right to unlock the phone
3. drag down from the top and the press the red call terminate button.
Surely Android 2.3.3 is not designed to work in this way.
All I want is for the dial screen to remain accessible for long enough for me to press that huge red "call terminate" button in the middle of the screen.
How can I fix this rediculous situation.
Thank you
You can change that in the call settings
Keep call in background or something like that
Aslo use assecsibilty and end call when lock button is pressed
Be Kind everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
After you're done calling take the phone away from your ear, then tap the screen, it should come back up.
My girlfriend's just taken my Samsung Galaxy S2 off my hands and asked me if she could use the 'menu' button at the bottom-left of the phone to dial a contact, and the 'back' button at the bottom-right to end a call, so she can do everything with one hand.
Is there an app that lets you do this, or perhaps puts the 'dial' and 'end call' functions right at the bottom corners of the screen, does anyone know?
Ok, when I click the end call button on the phone it then displays the contact information. Is there a way to turn this off to just go back to the keypad instead with out hitting the go back button again? I have gone through every menu I could find but was unable to locate something that would allow you to turn this feature off or shorten the time it displays. Thanks in advance for your answers.

It does disappear but when I need to make a call right after it stays up to long. I would rather it be a shorter time display.
The home button does not return to the main screen when I press it.
I turned off the Google Assist long press, because whenever I pressed the home button it would immediately open that, but now that I've turned that off nothing happens when I press the home button.
I know it still works however, because when I close my phone the finger print recognition still opens my phone.
Any help would greatly appreciated as I'm having to use the floating dock which I really don't want to!

I had this issue a couple of times. For me it helped just to restart the phone.
