Troubles installing GApps in TWRP under MultiRom - Nexus 7 (2013) LTE Android Development

Hi everyone,
Seems Im having a lot of trouble when it comes to installing GApps.
Ive installed the latest build of OmniRom for my N7 2013 LTE, threw MultiRom. And that went well.
Now, when I try to install GApps, it fails every time. I've tried a few different versions of GApps, & none will install.
Help me please !!!

Please use the Q&A forum for questions.
Thank you and thread closed.

Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Is this SafeStrap? or just loki?
Sorry, I'm pretty new to all this and idk how to tell the difference.
NC5 and Safestrap?
Will this work with NC5 baseband and Safestrap? Thanks
Looks like the contrast is out of whack (blacks overdone to the point of bleedout). Also looks like the colors are whitewashed. Any recommendation on how to fix this for now until an update comes out to take care of it?
constant fc
bit annoyed i installed as recommended and can not get it to stop fcing with Google play services and all other Google stuff music location etc
have re installed without gapps and looks nice
Just tried a fresh install of the latest nightly 3-11. Still getting Google services FC on first reboot that won't let me get past. Do I need to flash anything besides the ROM and GApps? Using the latest GApps as well.. I read somewhere about also needing to flash SU?
Can anyone confirm or deny if this ROM works with Safestrap?
Thanks!

Needed to update TWRM apparently. Works, but having the same weird color issue. Would love to check it out but the color is unbearable.
I'm using twrp 2.8.4.0 and I get play service FC as well. What nightly did you get to boot and what recovery version you using
I think I'm on 2.8.5 and was the 3/13 nightly
3/13 no FC runs great and best battery life I've had on any 5.0 ROM. It does have a slight yellowish tint tho.
Compatibility
Sorry to ask, but I haven't found a list showing compatible versions. Can I run the nightly 20150321 with baseband FNK1 on my s4 I545 (Verizon)?
Will give this a shot tonight.
No root?
Hello all,
New Pac-Rom user. Beginner-to-Intermediate ROM flasher here. Flashed the Apr 1 version and titanium backup didn't work. I downloaded supersu and it couldn't update binaries. I downloaded root checker and it said I had no root. Did I do something wrong during the installation? Maybe I missed a step. Should I flash the Apr 3 version before I post anymore questions?
Thanks!
BTW, I'm on MDK, coming from a Hyperdrive KitKat ROM.
Works with Safestrap?

root

OK. I'm on stock 4.0.4 , ucll6 and I wanna directly root and install LP and mm roms. What's best method? All threads seem to be unmaintained and outdated. Thanks.
Did root via arogon method. Now what recovery do I flash? Figuring kernels are flashed with it.
My name says it all. That said I'm pretty sure that you are going to have to increase your space to be able to install MM with the appropriate gapps package. Same holds true for most LP roms on here.
You might can try this thread for a LP rom with a pico gapps package http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../cyanogenmod-12-unofficial-i777-call-t3211103 (note: I'm not sure it requires resizing partitions since it does not specify.) Should be able to also find a version of TWRP 2.7.1.0 or newer floating around here. I also add that though lots of these threads on here haven't been posted in in a couple of years, the information you find is still uptodate. GL

If I flash that twrp 2.7, wouldn't I need a certain kernel?
Honestly man I can't say for sure. Sorry.
I'm running a s959g and followed the guide in the help forum laid out by Mr.cook (you'd likely find more/better help in the help forum). I will say that from what I gathered the kernel and recovery are linked in the S2. That said when I flashed my 1st recovery I was on stock 2.3.6 Gingerbread and went straight to the TWRP 2.7 version. From there I flashed Rogersb11's 4.4.4 ROM that had the shift kernel (awesome kernel btw check it out) built in. GL
ETA: I'd almost say that as long as you find a i777 version of the TWRP and installed it you'd be good to go.

Can't flash ROM in TWPR or CWM

Hi everyone,
Well, I came to you because actually I'm out of idea.
I was since 3 years on custom ROM (CM and Lineage OS) and due to substratum, I had a bootloop.
My problem is quite particular, after a total clean of my device and flashing the stock ROM, custom recovery cause me some trouble.
Whatever I try (CWM touch 6 or TWPR 3.1.1), I can't flash custom ROM (Lineage OS 14.1), TWPR or CWM crash 1 second after the flash command and reboot, with disable touchscreen and even by using old navigation way and try again, same problem.
Tried also to disable file signature check but no effect.
Quick summary about what I did:
- Device: Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505)
- ROM stock used: I9505XXUHOJ2 ( the build which is based on the CF-Root file i used)
- Tried to install CWM by ROM Manager and ODIN (v3.09)
- TWPR installed by TWPR App using file in .img and not the second option (tar.img) for LTE Internationnal Qualcomm.
-Checked the root before last attemptwith root checker and it was ok.
In advance thanks for your help and I really hope it's not too serious.
By the way, sorry for my english, it's not my native language

I don't have this variant but, this looks like it may be a recovery issue so your best bet is to post this question within the following Official TWRP thread for your device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2468187
If it's a LineageOS issue, then your best bet is to post this question within the following Official LineageOS thread for your device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3573386
If all else fails, you can try posting your question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device.

Good Luck!

Thanks for advice
I will post in the S4 forum section hoping someone already know a fix or a way to dodge this problem.
But I have small questions before:
I saw some threads about CWM and TWPR recovery "for" I9505, is there a huge difference between them and their basic version ?
And finally, I saw some threads on TWPR 3.+ issue for some devices.
An installation of an older version of TWPR or CWM could be a good way to explore the problem source ? (the stock ROM I use even after updates is quite old in terms of Android versions and patch)
Have a good day

Any Custom Rom for Lenovo Tab M10 HD X505X(Other than Remix Resurrection OS{cuz its not working})

I was very happy to see the Remix Resurrection OS custom rom available for my Lenovo Tab M10 HD X505X, as there are no current custom rom for my device. The problem soon arose when I tried to flash the rom to my tablet using TWRP, I also faced the same problem of getting stuck at the LENOVO logo. Being confused I decide for going back to my custom rom, Finally finding the stock rom and doing some alterations in the stock rom files, I was able to flash the Stock rom with ADB with no issues and the device works with no issues. The Resurrection ROM was not working even though I followed each and every step to flash the file exactly with getting no errors.
This was the Thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...top-style-tb-x505x-lenovo-tab-m10-hd.4306713/
I Followed exact steps but it yielded no results. I cannot afford Data losses for multiple times, as the tab is in constant use daily.
Does any one has any unofficial version of any other custom rom for the model of my tab?
