You know what... I think that for the average end user, a couple of milliseconds aren't going to make that much of a difference or even be that noticable! All these people who think 4.4 will bring about radical changes in UI and features are in for a big disappointment!
I'm excited! LG updates seem to have a lot less issues than Samsung updates do. I just hope we get some of those new knock code features

But what I am excited about in this video is the transitions, witch seems to be a lot smoother than the current ones, they just feels choppy. And I do look a lot foreward to transparent bars in nova..so there is a lot to look foreward to for ME.
If the changes are so noticeable, why do they need a 240fps video to show it?

First of all,: have seen my brothers galaxy nexus and I haven't notice any of the problems you mentioned.
Secondly, No Galaxy Note doesn't have much of hardware issue other than some people complaining about black corners.
Just bad part with the Note for now is Gingerbread and Touxhwiz.
And after a week of use, with perfect size of device you won't even like to look at any small devices.

A lot of people seem to have varying problems on xda. Some people complain of laggy screens and low quadrant scores, so you might want to run a quadrant and make sure it exceeds 3000.
Another issue is the black clipping/crush some people are experiencing with dark wallpapers and videos. Run this YouTube video to test for this problem:

Black crush is when very dark images transitioning to lighter darks or other colors are very blocky. It is very notable on the devices that have it, I'm fortunate enough to not have it

Android doesn't have lag. It suffers from low framerate at times, but latency is not the issue.
That said, the only place I ever see low framerate is when I have a huge widget list to scroll through.

Okay, just gave 1.1 a shot. Apps are in fact loading up faster when pressed but that's the only thing I notice so far. Can't have a final say on anything else because it's so hard to tell on a Quad Core device with Jelly Bean. But thanks for letting us know of this.
Haven't tried it myself but....
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/entropy-seed-generator-not-all-its-hacked-up-to-be/
There are valid concerns about lag and how the Android OS handles them, and there is discussion currently ongoing within the Android Code about this, but this fix does not address those issues and instead gives performance gains through boosting CPU speed. The developer himself stated that this could in effect reduce battery life, since the hack is waking the CPU every second.

I grabbed this a few days ago when you mentioned it on CTO (thanks buddy). I notice apps opening noticably faster when it's running. I have it set to "start automatically on boot" but any time I "remove all" from a home button long press, which I do after I've been on my phone for a while, the app stops running and I forget to restart it. I wish it would persist that.

I tried explaining the the thread that Steve Kondik isn't endorsing the app like they think he is. He performed his own tests, with his own compiled code and saw some inexplicable results.
Seeder didn't do anything for him on any device he has.
A moderator deleted it though, conveniently. They of course left behind the part where CM is allegedly endorsing it though.
One big feature that this phone is missing that I wish it had in it is the always on voice recognition that the moto x has. Upon getting this phone I assumed that I would be forever without this feature. However, upon doing some research I discovered that the snapdragon 800 processor has a dedicated voice recognition core just like the moto x, the only difference being that nobody has taken advantage of it. So, since I'm not a developer by any means, I decided that I would turn to the amazing developers here at XDA to see what they could whip up.
Requirements:
-Must work on AOSP ROMs. (I use Houston's PA 4.0)
-Must actually use the voice recognition core as to not demolish battery life.
-Preferably in a flashable zip (although not required)
-must work on all variants of those who pitched into bounty.
I will kick off the bounty with $15 to whomever can get this working.
Running total: $45
Ghstudent: $15
Jeev_one: $15
Pools200: $10

I just picked one up today at best buy today to scratch the itch that I've had for a while now. Idk if many like the idea but I'll give my initial impressions.
First off pro and con
* the band it comes with. Reason being is the one I got(which surprised me since I thought it would come with the rubber one) is metal and no one could get the links out. I am the definition of a skinny person. I had to buy the tool which arrives tomorrow.
Pros
* I like the screen size and being touch. (I was debating between the pebble also) looks good enough to satisfy.
* the notifications work better than I thought. The vibration when you get a text fb or any sort of notification is nice since I rarely feel it in my pocket.
*can control the play music app through the watch so I don't have to mess with the phone wile driving
Con's
* Facebook extension if you just choose the ppl you want it to show up doesn't seam to stay logged in.
*still skeptical since I was on the fence about getting one. Maybe a few days with it I'll start to enjoy it.
If you have questions I'll try to answer them for you

There's a reason they keep including more ram in phone's. But hey you guys know best right?
Hahahaha. K.
More free ram will always allow for more multitasking and a snappier opening of apps. If you geniuses want to run your phone's bogged down to ahead. More running processes also loads the cpu.
There's so much wrong in what you guys are saying it's not even funny.

I would take Houstonn's PA 4.0 over CM. I use PA as my daily driver and I don't see any bugs. FYI, I use my G2 as a phone, meaning Emails, calls, sms, internet( for info search only), gps, lite YT and all of these work just fine for me.
Can't complain with mine....coming from L920.....very fast, running with Buckeye 2.1....mostly stock, just debloated.....LG G2 has come a long way from the LG G2x...I hated that phone mostly due to the poor battery life....and the crashes and reboots.....gave it to my son then passed on to his mom, the ex-wife, but surprisingly, she's still using it.
