When can we expect a android 4.4 kit kat update for the lenovo p780 8GB?
We already have stable 4.2.2 Vibe ROM at the moment, still expecting for Kit Kat though.

I didn't say 4.2.2 is KitKat, I am expecting KitKat will arrive on our devices.
Probably works, flash it via recovery, or read my topic about flashing.

I think that's about the Vibe ROM (which official Lenovo ROM). Besides, that is quite an old news. Aren't there any other famous custom ROM devs doing this? Like CyanogenMod AOKP.

Yup, wrong flash will cause you have a phone that cannot make calls.
ZTE Port with Multi-Window
If you are in chinese base, you can try this ROM:

It is a port from ZTE V5S, which is basically a modded AOSP ROM and with some extra features, most importantly, it is the ONLY ROM I've found that has MULTI-WINDOW similar to Samsung's.
Give it a try. You will love it.

You need to backup Boot,Data and System to backup any ROM.

A ROM link for my 610 be appreciated. I have 4.4.4 loaded but unable to get APP move to SD working via adb or file permission edits.
Hell, if I can get my 610 back in action. (Stuck in bootloop, computer doesn't recognize device anymore) I'd love a chance to use carbon rom.
