[Q] Optimus V boot loop - no lock screen

So I decided I wanted to change the font on my lock screen. I rooted with gingerbreak. I'm on rooted stock with no custom recovery. After I put the new font in using root explorer I rebooted. After rebooting the phone got stuck on the android screen. I can go into the stock recovery and do a factory reset and boot back up. As soon as the screen turns off or I reboot the phone it goes back to being stuck on the android screen. I discovered that if I use No Lock I can have the screen turn off and be able to turn the screen back on without it rebooting. Still, it I turn my phone off and on again I get stuck on the android screen.
I think the problem is that the phone can't find the lock screen and/or font for the lock screen and so it freaks out. I tried putting the clockopia font back in system/font via root explorer and it doesn't work. Any ideas? If this has been covered before please point me to the right thread because I haven't found anything like this.
Any ideas? Anyone...?
Reinstall using KDZ Updater, LGMDP or LG software update tool or install a custom ROM.
Otherwise spend the rest of your life trying to find the cause to the problem.
custom recovery first, lots of threads in v development section

[Q] bootloop on stock rom

Hi everyone,
I am stock at boot on my atrix 4g, it keeps rebooting when it reaches the home screen. This happened after I tried to change the font with motomizer app.
The phone is rooted, using stock motoblur 4.9.12(I am not sure of version maybe 4.5.12) I have cwm recovery up to date but android recovery is unresponsive, I am not familiar with the fastboot and rsd lite (which I already bricked one before with) I booted in to recovery several times with and without sd card it just doesn't go after loading the adroid man and the warning sign. There is no progress bar it stays in that state forever.
Does anyone has any idea what might be the problem here, any help would be appreciated to get it working again.
Thank you.

[Q] my phone is stuck in a boot loop

Hi, i use a Mifone Mi-A300 that runs android froyo. I recently installed chainfire 3d and its cf3d drivers but after rebooting the app wouldn't open and it prevented me from playing mobile games. i uninstalled it but its cf3d drivers still remained in the system. I decided to take a risk and removed the drivers myself but the phone is now stuck in a boot loop. without a backup (because it wasnt supported by clockwork mod recovery and TWRP).
how do i fix this?
AW: [Q] my phone is stuck in a boot loop
Try connecting it to Odin and reflashing your Rom or your recovery.
That always worked for me
my phone is stuck in boot loop
thanks, but i tried looking for the rom that my device uses but i couldn't find it. apparently my phone uses a custom rom, but the only difference between the custom rom and the normal android froyo os is the system taskbar which adds another button for mobile data. where can i get a rom that fits my device description?

[Q] Rom Toolbox failure after root

Hey everyone. Sorry if this is redundant, but I have to ask. I rooted my device perfectly, setup all my apps and homescreen. Last app installed was Rom Toolbox PRO. After installing, I open it. It immediately freezes device and reboots. I can't get past Samsung boot logo. Tried volume down and power and get into download mode perfectly. Then I try volume up, and power to get to recovery to wipe cache, but it will not boot into recovery. Always goes back to Samsung boot screen. All I want to do is get my device booted and remove Rom Toolbox so I can be back to normal. Any ideas? I'm away from my computer due to being out of town. I just want it to work again!

I'm not 100% certain why this would happen, but if you made a NAND backup after you rooted you can restore to that. Otherwise do a factory wipe and restart from scratch. You can also try to wipe the apk for ROM ToolBox from your system if you are running on a recovery that allows you explore your app directory.

Stuck on Boot Logo

After disabling/freezing the HTC Blinkfeed my phone has not opened the Launcher. Right after I disabled it i tried to go to home and got a black screen, I tried to restart the phone and now it is stuck on the Boot Logo. I Am rooted and I was wondering If i can just flash the htc blinkfeed apk through recovery to fix this...
Thanks

You can try that or try to unfreeze HTC Blinkfeed. I believe is tied to the launcher so you would have to change launchers to remove it. If you are stock, you could try a factory reset/phone reset but make sure you save all of your data off of the phone.
