Heyy everyone , how y'all feeling , good ?
my friend in college got this phone and he tried to be a pro and install a ROM by himself so he i dunno what he actually did, he just gave it to me like, i got ODIN v3.0.7, and installed Drivers and also i'm looking for a firmware which include Arabic Language 4.1.2 or 4.0.3 doesn't matter,
Phone is GT-I9100G dunno the else cuz can't open it and can't enter Download mode, so please help
And i'm kinda noob with the Galaxy phones, have xperia x10 tho lol
You're probably doing it wrong. Download mode = phone off - home/volume down/power. I'd keep trying it over & over & over if I were you, because this is the only way you're fixing it; getting into download mode & flashing a stock rom with Odin. Are you sure you can't get into recovery mode (phone off - home/volume up/power) ? If you can, do a wipe/factory reset.
You could also try a jig to get into download mode.
Edit - Re: your question about firmware/language, go get stock firmware for country/region & carrier from Samfirmware. Make sure you only download firmware specifically for I9100G or you'll end up with a permanently busted phone. If you were referring to custom firmware, go read the rom threads in the development sections or do a search.

Thanks for your reply , well i gave to my bro, he have samsung too tho he entered the Download mode but i think he installed a wrong firmware cuz when i tried to go through the setup wizard every just force closes dunno why , i'm trying to download another firmware here, also i don't think i was able to go through the recovery mode i tried it, but nothing happen

As u said u can enter the download mode so ure just a few steps away from getting ur phone back to stock

Edit: i searched a bit and found ur stock rom
go to samfirmware.com --> search for I9000m --> in the list choose the one concerning the BELL provider download and flash via odin
if u dont know how to use odin search here in the xda forums you will find something usefull in about 2 minutes
i tried to flash LP7 kernel on ICS firmware XXLPS on my Galaxy SII and it was successful but after the reboot phone got stuck at the yellow triangle screen.
Now i tried to flash a new firmware XXLPQ (older than XXLPS) but it failed and i get message on the phone that firmware upgrade encountered an error, connect to kies.
have i bricked my phone or is there a way out here?

I assume you were flashing with ODIN and therefore that you are familiar with it. If not just don't go ahead; do some reading instead .
Put your phone into download mode and make absolutely sure Kies is not running. Start ODIN, then connect the phone by USB. Does ODIN detect the phone?

I made sure Kies is not running, checked all the process under task manager.
Yes i am using ODIN1.85, it detects my phone but flashing fails, i think because i had XXLPS already and now i am trying to flash XXLPQ.
I actually wanted to flash CM9, and the procedure i found online said i must have XXLPQ, and for that i must have LP7 and clockwork recovery.
Try to go into recovery and wipe data + cache and format /system. Finally flash a rom in odin
If it fails, try odin and reparation with pit.
If no go, it is a physical damage in partition. RMA

i dont have recovery on my phone.
so only option is repartition with pit file.

Every phone has recovery. Power off, hold down the volume up, home, and power buttons. When your see the screen come on, let go of power, but keep holding home and volume up.
To find out your exact model number, look on the label under the battery.

You sure you have an i9100 now? You're currently active in another thread that is specific for i9100G.
In any case, if you keep going down the road of using a .pit file, make sure you use one for your specific model.
Look in the stickies in Q&A, there is a guide for fixing unflashable GSII by phistashio, I think his name is. There are .pit files there, I believe.

I'm from Lisbon, Portugal and bought a I9100 in May 2011, in a big store that imports cells from Germany.
Trought kies, i've been able to upgrade my I9100 firmware.
Last month i installed an anti-virus (kaspersky). A week later, I was able to uninstall it with Uninstaller App. It was not a good idea - each time i opened the display, I needed to put my password. I was told about this site, where I saw the brand new I9300XXBLG8_I9300OXABLG8_I9300XXLG8, and decided to make an upgrade. Used Odin, and... all right. But, each time I enter kies to see if there was an upgrade, a window apears saying it was not possible to make an upgrade trought kies. To be able to do future upgrades, I tried to change my csc (DBT) to btu, or xeu, but, with samsung galaxy 2/s2 csc, the only csc it showed was dbt (the german csc). So, I tried to put another firmware - this one, from Germany. I found it in this site - I9100GXXLPY_I9100GXXLPV_I9100GDBTLP3.
I put my device in Recovery MODE (Home + Volume up + Power) -> Wipe Data/Factory reset. WHEN THE PHONE WAS OPENING, I took out the battery & put it back in -> put my device into Download MODE (Home + Volume Down + Power) -> put my device into Download MODE (Home + Volume Down + Power) -> clicked PDA and selected *.tar.md5 and clicked START.
After some moments, I got a message of FAIL.
Now, if I try to enter Recovery Mode, I receive a message saying - "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". And, to be able to put this message off, must take the battery out.What did I do wrong? What shall I do?

You flashed an i9100G firmware to an i9100. Firmwares are not compatible between these variants.
You also were basing your desire to upgrade on the existence of a firmware for the i9300, which is the galaxy s3.

I saw my mistakes: the new brand firmware I installed was, not I9300XXBLG8_I9300OXABLG8_I9300XXLG8; but I9100XWLPT_I9100XXLQ6_I9100XEULPA. So, I reinstalled this last one, and the cell is fine

But I'd like to make a very last question - as I said, the cell is fine, but... I'm not able to upgrade it's firmware using Kies. I think it's because the store where I bought my I9100 imported it from Germany - so, its csc is DBT. The csc from the firmware I installed is XEU - don't understand why, but, when I open Kies, in the csc place, it says DBT. I tried to use the CSC Select app, to choose BUT or XEU. but I have no choice - the only csc there is DBT,
As you know all about Android world, could you tell me what shall I do to be able to get upgrades from Kies?
Once again, sorry for my bad english and thank you very much for your help.

hello all, two days ago my brother Samsung galaxy s 2 broke whilst updating the new tubemate apk, now his phone is stuck at the Samsung logo when the phone is turned on, also the phone wont go into recovery mode (up home and power) the only thing it will do is go into odin mode, please help me

just flash a stock firmware from ODIN, thats the only solution for now

Bad advice.
@ OP
If you can go into odin mode, simply flash Siyah kernel and then you should be able to go into recovery or even probably boot into your rom. Try this before flashing a stock rom over your old.
If you dont care/need your current rom/data etc then flashing stock rom over is fine.
PS. In future look at the Q&A section or use search first, there are plenty of topics on "my phone wont boot" discussion so no need for another. Also use descriptive titles, not silly ones like this that dont describe your topic to browsers of forum in any way.

Today I tried to upgrade it to Stock 4.0.4, I9100GXXLPZ, I9100GODDLP9 through Mobile Odin Pro.
I did what I normally do with options ticked and wipe data & cache and wipe Dalvik cache.
After phone rebooted , its stuck on First screen of "Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G" screen.
Its not going into download mode neither its restarting nor I could find a solution anywhere else.
Its my father's phone and is out of warranty.
What should I do?
I start this thread in hope that you all might be able to help me.

Thanks for replying, If I could I would have, since i couldnt that is the reason I posted on XDA to find out the alternate solution.
To flash through PC Odin I have to be in download mode, as mentioned clearly , I am unable to get into download mode.
So, now if you know how to flash through PC Odin without getting into DOwnload Mode, please do let me know .

For now ... Try to take out the Battery
And see if you could get into Recovery .
If you could get into Recovery .. WipeData and Cache manually and try to reboot again ..

Ok...are you sure about can't go into download mode? Press volume down, home and power button simultaneously... do not let go...keep on pressing until the phone lights up...if not, try volume up, home and power...you should get into recovery mode...if you are able to, just factory reset and try again...

took out battery, sd card & sim card for being cautious.
Left phone switched off for 15 mins.
Turned it on after 15 mins 1.) Vol up+home+power 2.) Vol Down+home+power ...... nothing neither getting into recovery mode nor getting into download mode.
And no I dont have jig. Thans for suggestion though.

If I am not supposed to start a thread, then what should I do ? The reason I started the thread 'cause the FIrmware and version of operating both were new and were not be found by me in the forum.
Please guide me so I know and can educate others too.

Duh...in the Q&A section...I have already gave you some advice... tried it?
Ok...seems that you got a hard brick...the only way is to get a usb jig or a jtag unit...but try a jig first...it is easy...I even made one myself...

Connect ur charger with phone if it shaw you charging then ok...try above given methods...
Bt if It won't charge it means you breaks your phone...
And it is hard break so only samsung care helps you if ur phone is in warrenty otherwise it is so costly...

Thanks all for your help, time and suggestions.
The phone was not charging and eventually died cause of low/no battery.
I took that phone to a Samsung care centre and they are going to fix it , lucky to have a friend working their.

I do not have the Korean model, but understand your present moment of craziness. I am sorry if I may not b able to provide you with actual technical support. however, if you find someone that can help here, they might need a bit more information. I have looked at the thread and wow, flashing is a bit more involved with you model.
don't get offended when I ask you some very basic questions here, many times it is something so simple and was simply overlooked. I thought that I had read somewhere else that the screen you posted was an alternate download mode screen. I always make extra preparations when I need to Odin anything.
did you read OP ? (I know, but I read several times) I read some of it and it seems as if you are not the only one to have similar problem.
did you et ALL the files you needed ? do you know where they are ?
were there any tutorals on Youtube ? they helped me
did you actually rehearse ? silly, I know. walk though everything in your head an compare to thread / youtube.
I hope somebody else will come around offer some more help, sometimes when someone brings up the most basic things, it triggers switch, and you realize what went wrong.

Its there a way to reboot normally or its it broken i have read it a lot and prepared everything when i tried it fail i'm not sure how to restore it because when i try plug it in to my computer it doesn't come up only on Odin i tried kies did not find my phone so yeah oh and i tried to reboot in to recovery mode didn't work so i'm kina stuck and as far as i know it could be in a bootloop or somthing.

Is download mode boot looping? If so it sounds like a stuck power button. Try tapping the power button rapidly and see if it stops looping.
Odin won't recognize a looping device. Neither will kies. Once you stop looping flash files again.

may I suggest posting under the general forum here, there is a sub forum for your device there which may give you some more target specific technical help.
just go back out from here and up t the general section. it might be about 5 or 6 threads down. there may be more people there with same device with a post as recent as yesterday.
good luck and keep us posted here. you are getting some reaction from your phone so I am sure it is not bricked.
