I just picked up a used GT-P5113, and I'm looking for a case with a keyboard. I looked on Amazon, and there are so many different types, and most of them have a lot of negative reviews. Which type of case are most of you using, the aluminum ones, or the leather ones?

Hi all, I've been following the board almost everyday, but it seems like many are interested in the Leather Portfolio style cases. Are there any portfolio style cases that are "not" leather (including the synthetic leather)? I'm just not really a fan of leather at all. Thanks in advance if anyone found any.
I think that all of he slim cases available right now are (p)leather. I also don't like my gadgets to look like they came out of a 1996 Skymall catalog so I have been looking for more modern case designs and have been sadly left empty handed.
Perhaps the TF Prime is just too new, for some reason leather-style cases always seem to be the first ones available for any new device since they are cut & sew. Maybe in a few months we will start seeing form-fitting TPU, silicon & siliconed fabric cases.
So I really like the pdair book style case (http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=11000659_11001131_11001398&products_id=35041), but I'm not really keen on spending that much for a case. I was wondering if anyone knew of other (cheaper), cases in the same style: specifically a case were the tab is inserted, as opposed to the case being clipped on (which seems to be most of the cases I've found).
Verizon sells a Belkin case that is pretty similar for $40. Someone posted some nice shots of his VZW tab in it, and I can confirm that the fit is excellent on my P6810--only issue being an extra cutout where there isn't an IR emitter on mine.
Ordered the pdair cases, as I already have one for my Note. The cases are very good quality leather and well made.
cool, I'll check out the belkin case. Thanks
i am using the attached gnarlyfish cash cost around $30
Hello,
I have seen many posts individually but none that compare all the ones available. Anyone use or try a few them with some results/feedback ?
I don't have a dock so that isn't too important.

I use this Black silicone case on my TF and like it. Has a nice feel to it too.
The ones from overstock are only $5.99 and come in a array of colors. Cheap plus choice equal win.
The Transformer has enough lip around the screen that I'm sure any silicon case will fit nicely.
I was recently looking for an alternative folio styled case for the TPT, when I started digging around my apt and found a case I bought for my iPad. The case is a generic iPad 3 case from BestBuy, by a company called Rocketfish. It features two viewing angles, as well as a typing angle as well which places the TPT at an ergonomic angle for optimal typing. the best part, is that the TPT hooks in to the case with for leather rubber-band straps in each corner of the case, allowing for simple insertion and removal. The case also has two interchangeable "Moleskine" straps to keep the case close when in travel mode. The only two downsides are the misplacement of the camera cut-out on the back, and the fact that the TPT sticks out of the sides just a little bit. All in all, it makes for an amazing case, especially for those who want to use this for handwriting with the stylus--very ergonomic, stylis, and it was only $15.00. There are so few cases available fot the TPT, and i was glad to find something readilly available as a solution.
I'm looking for a high quality, plain (no designs or funky textures), black TPU case. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B073JF58WP/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on Amazon, it is very nice, but it is a little too thin.
It seems like there are very few cases for the OP5 from the name brands, hopefully this will change.
All the big boys have cases for the OP5: Spigen, Tudia, Nikon, etc. If you want a fairly low profile unbranded case look at Mangix and Skmy
That's similar to the one I have. The one thing I don't like about the big boy cases is that they leave a massive cutout for the camera and flash, whereas the one here (and the one I have) has a separate cutout. I saw some really nice ones online, but they seem to cover the microphone on the back.
