So, I have CM 11 (build cm_m7-userdebug4.4.2 KOT49H-InstallerXNPQ02R release-keys) and apparently there's an update for the HTC One. However, when I attempt to update it, in TWRP it gives me this error:
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/cache/cm-m7-d54c74fd9-to-05b91ffc55-signed.zip'
Error flashing zip '/cache/cm-m7-d54c74fd9-to-05b91ffc55-signed.zip'
I've tried this with the latest TWRP and the latest CWM recovery and had no luck with either. CWM Recovery gives me a similair error, though I can't type it all the way out because it flashes the error and goes away. Only caught a few key words.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hello, I'm trying to flash CM on to my Samsung GS4 but am having trouble getting past recovery. My phone has build KOT49H.I545VRUFNC5. I gained root access using towelroot and verified through terminal using the SU command (the prompt became #). I installed Clockwork Mod and flashed recovery 6.0.4.7 but when i reboot into recovery (whether manually or through CWM) the phone still goes into stock recovery. I also tried installing recovery through ADB sideload. On the PC terminal window it shows 100% and on the device shows: (and it does this twice before showing installation aborted)
Finding Update package
Opening Update package
Verifing update package
E:footer is wrong
E:signature verification failed
I've tried two different packages from CWM and one from TWRP all with the same results.

I've read this post on CM (http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_jfltevzw) and it mentions installing an alternate kernal but I have not done so because it warns up top that you must be on I545VRUAMDK or this process will not work and brick your phone. So I'm going around in circles here. Any guidance would be appreciated.

You are on NC5. Clockwork Mod and TWRP are not compatible with our device. Nor are pure AOSP ROMs such as CyanogenMOD. Our bootloader is still locked and we can only use Safestrap as our recovery and safestrap compatible ROMs. I am surprised you have not at least soft bricked your phone yet.
Thanks, that explains a lot.
Not saying you missed a detail, but even mdk isn't unlocked, just bypassed.
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/Trick
Error flashing zip
these errors occur while i try to install any rom on my htc one m7, i have twrp 2.6.3.0

Hy guys, I'm a newbie here. I have a problem with updating superSU binary on my asus zenfone C (z007)
I have rooted my phone before, but recently the binary was outdated, I've tried updating it via CWM. Everything work just fine, but when I'm flashing the supersu binary 2.82 via adb, an error occur, it say:
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
Installation aborted
I've googling for days and all I found is many people said that the binary file is corrupted, I've tried re download a new binary file, and it's not corrupted. And I retry to flash it via adb, and again, the problem still the same.
Any suggestion for me? I would be very happy if anyone could help me to solve this Thnx!
Hi guys,
I cannot flash any ROM above Android 6. I have TWRP 2.8.7 installed and I can't flash any other version neither with fastboot nor directly in TWRP.
Rooting with SuperSU is possible in TWRP but not with Magisk or flashing any ROM.
This is how I tried to flash the ROM:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Make factory reset, wipe dalvik cache/cache, wipe system/data
3. Install ROM from SD-Card
4. Error message: E: unknown command [log]
E: Error executing updater binary in zip /external_sd/AospExtended.zip
Error flashing zip /external_sd/AospExtended.zip
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you so much for any help.
I installed TWRP 3.0.1.0 and I was able to install LineageOS.
