Hey guys, I've been recently having some battery issues ( when are we not )
So i decided to see what other networks I could connect too
As you can see from the picture I'm connected to EE and it has a little house symbol and 3G what does the house symbol mean?
It seems to give worse connection then the other one, which is the one I was on

At a guess..........its your home (native) network.

It's essentially your default.
It will choose to connect to a 4G network when available.
The reason the signal seems weaker is because 4G signal is generally weaker than 3G.
Oh okay thanks, I'll change that as I don't have a 4g sim

For the life of me, I am not able to figure out the symbol to the left of the alarm clock at the top of my screen. Any illumination to its source would be greatly appreciated.

How did you get this to activate or show up? I am on CM10 and can't seem to get it to come up. Yes I have ticked NFC on and Android Beam. Also tried NFC Tag Info and reading a tag.
I downloaded the NFC task launcher app and then it started showing up.

So this is probably a dumb question but I have nevr had it happen before. My DNA the last couple days intermittently has been showing the 3g icon even while I'm connected to WiFi. I'm not sure but is that a bad thing or not?

If you send or receive a MMS while on WiFi your data will come on for a second or 2

Thank you. I honestly wasn't aware of that. And I was sending a panorama photo I had just taken around that time. Good to know.

I have the same thing happening but it's on 4G and 3G sometimes, usually it doesn't show any data transmission but just seems to stay on doing nothing for several minutes. Mine does stay on until I shut off my mobile network and when I turn the mobile network back on it stays off. With no text messages or anything going through.
Hey guys I have a question recently my phones inter has being acting crazy. It's connected but it's slow and I would check the status on phone settings and it would say umt or hspda+3-6 now my connection is even worse and when I do get data the Hspda shows +15 (hspda+15).
Does that mean something? I never seen the number go pass 6 til now.

I can't understand what about you talking. I want to know.. Sometime i turn off my WIfi connection but after few minute i have checked it then i see it always on..
Can you help me to give any suggestion ?
When my phone is charging it automatically turns on WiFi.

What does it even matter? If your on wifi, your signal is from another source you dont have to pay for. The only side effect is if you are out of range, your chewing up battery time.
SMH at the whole thread.

This may be useful to you, I'm not sure of other services providers, AT&T etc, have this feature but I know Sprint does.
