[Q] S3 Wifi Issues - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So..... I have this rare condition where, I have to switch on my Bluetooth at the same time while switching on my Wifi so the Wifi stays on.
If I didn't switch on the Bluetooth, my Wifi would keep on trying to switch on and fail to do so.
Any tricks or solutions to this ?
Am using Revolution 40.0 ROM currently.
Help is greatly appreciated !

Well, I did flashed back to stock before this. That was 4.1.3 stock and it occured then with the same symptom, only that you can off the Bluetooth after the Wifi is on and connected.
Revolution 40 (4.3 JB) needs me to have both switched on.

You have a very old Gingerbread baseband from september last year. LPS works excellent, I'd give it a try.
Downloading LPS now from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131950&page=105
does Vodafone has any different modem for SGS2?
Still facing same issue upgraded modem LPS Its still the same.
Strange thing is Use 2G network and Data Enabled is unchecked itself whenever I had this problem.

There are a larhe number of modems .
Start with the last one and work your way back .

Best way to find a good Modem is testing them all.

You need a computer and a thing called search and you look on XDA thread for Modem post with flashable modems .Like most stuff its found in development .
But you would do better to read the basics first .

[Q] What roms for other models are you using with the verizon patch?

I'm looking for a stable TW rom alternative to beans/cleanrom. I know some people have been using the verizon patch to make international roms work on verizon phones. I don't want to re-invent the wheel, so if you've applied the patch successfully to another rom and it works, which one and does it work 100%?
None at the moment. I might at some point down the road
So does this mean a custom ROM like Android Revolution HD 8.0 for N7100 will not work without adding a verizon patch to our verizon note 2?
The patch only applies to TW roms for the N7105 and American carriers. Roms for the n7100 require additional modification in order to run on LTE devices.
Can someone please post a link to the patch thread? Thank you.

Nvm. I got it now. I guess after flashing the verizon patch, I don't need to change the buildprop back like the instructions in that thread stated. I reflashed the rom and when in the buildprop. And did see that the buildprop did change to verizon one instead of nexus buildprop. Its running good now. Thanks
Yep. Glad it worked out for you.

it is a LEAK as you said. it consumes heavy ram as it is a beta firmware and hence lagging is common. try using GREENIFY if the phone is rooted.
:good:

I am using Imperium 14.1 which is based on the last Leak firmware XXUFME7 with Android 4.2.2. - have been on it a couple of days but it's been ok so far. I've only really used it for day to day stuff like web, email, video, music, sat-nav etc, etc (i don't play games on my phone).
May be worth a try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37656328&postcount=21

CM 10.1.3 Speakerphone Call Echo

Hi, I am using Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 on my i717 (AT&T) Galaxy Note and whenever I put anyone on speaker they can hear everything they say. Is there a fix for that? I have searched forums and haven't found anything relevant to what I am looking for.

Blownfuse's AOKP used to do that but I think that was 4.2 or 4.3
I think the fix was to not use speakerphone.

My fix was just to use the stock jellybean rom. I also noticed that the "auto adjust screen tone" feature to save battery power isn't available in any other rom, and it's automatically on. I don't like that feature much, it makes the screen darker.
So is this a kernel bug or does it have to do with the ROM?
