This is a fantastic little app, and is extensively praised for its simplicity and quality, and even by Google for its usage of the Google Play Services and Android location frameworks.
However, it is stated openly (even on the Google Play Store page) that our beloved Note II (N7100/N7105) cannot handle the app as the accelerometer cannot work when the screen is off.
SAMSUNG NOTE II INCOMPATIBILITY
Unfortunately, Samsung Note II cannot run its accelerometer sensor in the background.
We have tried different solutions, but we have not found a satisfactory way to support the device.
We would really like to support Note II and try to find a way in the future.

Surely, with the wealth of talented developers and ROM makers, technical wizards, and group knowledge, there must be a way to crowdsource a fix or workaround for the applications. We've seen in the past that some users have fixed problems, squashed bugs, and improve features on devices that even the manufacturers and app developers haven't been able to do.
Maybe we can all take a look at things?
Anyone want to help with the cause?

Hi,
I would like to introduce another application for Windows Mobile - DriveShaft. It requires Compact Framework 3.5 and Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher.
This is the first release of this app and I hope the number of defects is not too big. However I will do my best to resolve any issues found as soon as possible.
Here is the description:
DriveShaft is a mobile software which gathers all expenditures related to your car and keeps them on your hand.
Features available:
* records fuel tanks, expenditures and maintenance work regarding your car
* the reminder function indicating incoming MOT, Insurance renewal, annual Service and any other event you wish
* fuel consumption information based on your input and presented as a chart
* support of multiple unit standards to adjust data format to user needs
* import data option - if you have already kept track of your records outside the DriveShaft
You can download it from here: http://www.genec.eu/download.ashx?file=DriveShaft.cab

very nice so far man, kind of squishes the screen when i flip out the keyboard on my htc tp2 and it goes to horizontal mode though. also breaking fluid should be brake fluid.
i've been waiting for a decent winmo app like this, i'll let you know what i find.
Aston and other cars on the menu is not required.
What about other language versions?
I suggest you do a version for Android.
I posted this in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 forum, but I think it may be a topic for Samsung users in general, maybe it´s getting more into their focus this way:
I´m sorry if this has been posted before - but I can´t stand the fact, that Samsung shows such a massive effort for software optimizations and special functions, which CLEARLY are pushing the Note III to the top of every smartphone list - while, at the same time, STILL messing around with the restricted grid system in TW.
How can ANYBODY (that keeps an eye on the smartphone market and on the success of alternative launchers) think that a 4x4 grid (- on such a big device with such a great resolution -) is a good idea, looks good, feels good, makes sense or simply is a good choice??
I hate the restriction in general - it shouldn´t be that a problem to simply integrate a "free choice" function into the almighty TW. But hey, you Samsung guys...a 4x4? really?? I even used a 6x7 grid on my S3.
Sorry, perhaps it´s just my mood...

I'm happy to announce Yolk!, an infinite runner that's easy to learn but hard to master and will test your nerves more often than not.

The game is in beta at the moment and we'd like you to give it a go and tell us what you feel about it. Important points are:
- Performance: How does the game run and on what hardware (be specific, phone model and OS version).
- Gameplay: How does it feel, what sticks out and so on...
- Visuals: This is subjective, but if a lot of you think that something is ugly, than by all means it just might be ugly.
- Suggestions: This is tricky, since we're a small team that doesn't have a lot of time, but if you have a suggestion please share it here and we'll look at it.
The gameplay is pretty simple. The little critter runs like hell, and you job is to avoid the obstacles. A single collision is fatal so you need to be careful. There are powerups, but you need to collect three of a kind in order to activate them, ex. If you collect 2 magnets then one growth pill you lose the magnets and stand on one growth pill, etc.
There are also lives (hearts) that are pretty much continue coins. These don't affect the power up mechanism, so collect as mush and as often as you can.
Some screenshots of the game:

The apk is attached in this post. There is no Google Play link yet since the game is not ready. This is pretty much the exclusive first look you're getting here
Happy gaming and we're waiting on your feedback. Cheers.
I am positively shocked this is not a larger issue. With the removal of the always listening options for Google Now this devices overall appeal has been greatly limited based kmy needs.
Does anyone in the community know why these features were removed or have any idea on if/when they will return?
with the newest version it's there if you put the widget on homescreen

I have everything up to date including google play services and have placed the widget on the home screen but am still only seeing 1 option. Which is to allow "OK Google" from the app.

That's not the same thing at all. For starters it takes a whole row of icons. Also it will only work when you are on that specific screen. It won't work if you have an app open and most importantly it doesn't work when the screen is off.
This certainly isn't a hardware limitation, but I think Samsung did this to get users to try the new (and greatly improved s voice). I bet their plan is to bring back Google always on detection in a later update after many people try out s voice.
Anyways in the meantime check out s voice, you might be pleasantly surprised.
I know..but all Samsung phones even nexus had have problems with that actual
Hi guys,
Just wanted to drop a message that my first game is available on Windows Store for both WP 8.1 and 10. We worked on it for quite some time starting with an XNA 4.0 project. The game itself is in style of oldies such as Crash Bandicoot. There are a couple of levels and the game ends up with a boss fight - what would you expect? Obviously, since it's our first game it's 'a little' rough around the edges. It is completely free and has no ads - we treated it as a 'hobby project'. Hope you will like it!
Since I'm not allowed to post any links, just look for "Vorn's Adventure" on Windows Store.
A couple of screens:

Couldn't find it
I searched the store on my WP8.1 device but couldn't find it. Region is set to US on my phone.
Please try this url: bit.ly/2xVphWc
Meanwhile, I'll try to find some free time to check this. I have some people from US already playing though according to Windows Store...

Yeah, got it and will download when I get to my home wifi.
The store's search function has always been a hit and miss, and that's weird for a company that has the world's 2nd well known search engine.
Also you can check out my app at www[dot]rhythmapp[dot]audio.
Sure, just added it to download list
still making games for the platform, you the real MVP
