About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub. and on our Gerrit CarbonDev Gerrit.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
Who is Team Carbon?

Carbon Team
Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

Oh snap thanks for the release! Havent used carbon in a long time excited to give it a shot . I'll run it for a while and will report back with any bugs. Good work!

EDIT. Working great! All features have been working as advertised, noticed a couple of things. Speaker volume is very low, probably a cm thing. Also for those of you who use agni kernel I was having difficulty installing it on this ROM. Stock kernel running fine. Good work with this easily acceptable as a daily driver
Soooo excited for this!!

Worked fine for me on latest TWRP with paranoid android minimal gapps. If you can't get root flash this supersu file in recovery then download the supersu apk in the play store.

Awesome that worked for me. Now that everything is working, some things aren't working lol. On a clean install, themes provider is force closing, and I'm getting some random reboots. Other than that it's pretty solid!

Good to hear. I don't personally use theme checker so I can't chime in on that, but I'm yet to have a reboot. Check to see if you have a bad download. Download the app in the playstore "md5 checker" and load your zip in there. Here's my md5 (not official one) and see if they match.

I simply did the basic wipe in twrp, installed the ROM, and then installed the paranoid android 0 day minimal gapps. Good luck

I don't use theme checker either, but every once in a while the force close message pops up anyway. The md5 is the same. Unfortunately the reboots are happening a lot, almost always when I turn the screen off. I have to go back to CM for now but I'll be keeping my eye on this.

For those that have TouchPads or NookColors you may have seen the TeamWin unofficial nightlies for those devices. I had a few requests for Shooter builds and since there were no recent builds posted.. here they are!
These builds are a straight sync with CM source (https://github.com/CyanogenMod) and the device repo on my github which was forked from toastcfh/CM with just a few mods to allow building/fixes (https://github.com/eyeballer/android_device_htc_shooter). The only addition I have made is Goo Manager comes installed by default (see below for more info). Nightly builds will be sync'd at 2am EST and they will be available to download approx 15 mins after that. They are time-stamped with UTC dates and times so you can determine what commits are included by looking at: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/q/status:merged,n,z
No support is offered for these builds, they come "as-is" for those that can't/don't know how to build for themselves.
Currently not working: cam/wimax/maybe other stuff
Downloads
There's a few ways to get the builds:
1) Browse the hosted folder here: http://techerrata.com/browse/nightly_kangs/shooter
2) Follow @CM_Shooter on twitter for announcements of the builds as they hit the host (PLEASE NOTE: @CM_Shooter is A TWITTER BOT - don't bother tweeting at it)
3) Use the Goo Manager app to receive notifications of new builds and download them directly on your phone - Goo Manager is included in the ROM. With Goo Manager you'll also be able to download "incremental updates" if you like to stay on the bleeding edge and flash every night. Incremental updates are diff'd server side so you only download what's changed since the night before. These downloads average 30-40mb in size, so you get faster downloads, updates and less wear on your device's flash memory. Incremental updates ONLY work from the previous night's build to the latest. When you check for updates in Goo Manager it will offer you an incremental if applicable.
The best experience comes with using TWRP which can be installed using Goo Manager (menu-install openscript recovery). TWRP can handle auto-flashing of the updates.
Latest ICS gapps can be found here http://goo-inside.me/gapps or mirrored here http://techerrata.com/browse/gapps
Updates
For the latest updates/announcements follow me on twitter, or check back here.
Credit and Thanks
Full credit to fellow TeamWin member toastcfh for the device tree.
Special thanks to my other TeamWin'ers Kevank for providing the hosting and s0up for the Goo app/hosting.
Of course credit for these builds also goes to the CM team and everyone who contributes to the project.

The gapps do, but I don't believe this would matter, as CFXP does not have a phablet UI mode to utilize the P.A gapps ability.
CFXP is designed to be as close to the stock AOSP experience as possible at the moment.

WTF! Why is this rom so fast! I was mindblown! I changed the animations to 0.5 like I always do and I was amazed! you may say that its because of the animations that gave the impression that this rom is fast but no! there is absolutely no loading time! It shows up in an instant. Wow. Using the stock kernel because I cannot flash any other kernel because it gets stuck st the bootscreen. But wow. I have tried almost all the roms here and the speed blows them all. I like featurepacked roms but I was intrigued by this and tried it for my flashing needs. I did not expect this speed at all. Great job synergye and teamEOS! I am hoping I can flash other kernels in the future though! Thank you!
Hell yeah ! I was waiting for this since soo looong
And a Rom devlopped by Synergy and maintained by Roach can only be awesome !
Waited for this since SR15. This will sure be a good day! Thanks a lot to all devs involved
Did anyone of you successfully flash other kernels? all I want is to change the colors. The rom is perfect for me.

Is there any sort of resource to kind of get an idea of what all of the different CM12 based ROMs offer?
I do not like flashing on this phone, it seems really fussy, so trying to do some homework before I choose.
Best thing to do would be to traverse all the 5.0 threads and just browse them for the features, bugs, etc.

Also, if you check the T-Mobile g3 sub-forum, there are threads for most if the Roms to give you an idea. But, yes, I agree, it would be nice to have some dedicated threads. That said, I'm certainly not complaining. Pump ac7ion is doing great AOSP stuff here, as are others.

I am not an official maintainer and I take no credit for the development of this ROM. I'm only sharing information.
MoKee Open Source 5.x.x, based on CM12. Features are similar to CM12, with some useful added features. MoKee is built with ROM stability and performance as top priority, so you won't find a ROM with features like Slim/PAC/Illusion. Instead, you will find this ROM is extremely fluid and stable and built to set and forget. MoKee Release builds are usually released weekly. They are more stable than nightlies and are odexed.

I haven't had any wifi issues, been running this since 4-10-15 and I can honestly say I believe it is the smoothest rom I've ever run on my G3, AOSP or stock. it almost feels just like CM12, except rock solid.

don't know who the maintainer is. what do you mean legit? these are official Nightlies if that's what you mean. I'm not here to advertise this rom or make anyone want to try it. I'm simply here to let everyone know MoKee -an extremely popular rom- is now available for G3.
for those who don't know, MoKee is widely considered by many to be basically a more stable version of CM12.

not sure if it's allowed here but MoKee began building official nightly builds for G3 variants on 4-10-15. . I have been running the Nightlies (which are mysteriously unavailable now) since 4-10-15 and have had zero issues. it's close to cm in terms of available options but it's very smooth and stable. if my judgment serves correct, this is the smoothest and most stable AOSP ROM I've ever flashed on my G3. I flashed 777 kernel and it works fine.

Thanks for the Intro to this ROM.
As to why certain nightlies may have gone missing, their English Post has an explanation close to end of OP, see here- Introduction to MoKee OpenSource
The Download links appear to be mostly only showing the 'releases'.
Does anyone know if the not responsive screen bug/proximity issues during call is present in this rom? Cheers
thank you graphreak. so the reason they stopped building nightly releases for G3 is because it has a low user base. I still have the D850 4-16 nightly build from before they removed it from the site. I can upload it but reading them change log, there really isn't anything different. best to wait for the next release build.
what does everyone think so far? I think this rom is rock solid and silky smooth. noticeably smoother than any other rom and I'm certain its not a placebo. even google now is smoother this is my new daily

Developers need to build and match the camera from scratch on the M9.
The reason: We don't have GPE M9 to pull the camera blobs from there and easily merge it.

So, I'm really glad to see slim for my m9. Here are things I recognized on the first run. Off-screen gestures like dt2w are not working.

The things I mentioned above your post. And no reboots. I had Google service force closes after I flashed the add-on for multi-dpi support. Then I flashed again without it and everything is working great.
