Dear All,
I'm using an XT910 device mostly with the CM11 ROMs. Since a mid January there's an issue for me on CM based ROMs, namely that the fonts in music players. Special marks, umlauts like ö/ü (Hungarian or German characters in the titles) are displayed like some Chinese fonts.

I vas on the 2014.02.05 CM11 nigtly where it was working fine the last time. Then I tried nearly all further releases and the issue was present, so i restored it back from an SS backup. Now I did completely wiped the device, installed JB and started from scratch. As I installed the last working nigthly the issue appeared on that rom as well. I'm not confused with it..
Did you received reports from cases like this?

First of all thank you for the great forum and special thanks to after_silence for his roms!
After using 10.1 for a couple of month without any problems i decided to upgrade to 10.2.
Since I was struggeling in the past in order to activate the bootloader with my devices buttons I decided to use Flashify to flash the new 10.2 and the recommended gApps afterwards.
Cyanogenmod 10.2 works without problems. It has booted and optimized all of the Apps but not a single App from Google works (Youtube, Gmail...)
It's even worse. The OS continiously reports that the app (Google Keep, YOutube, ...) just crashed.
Can anyone help?

First of all, I'd like to thank you all for the help you've already given me (unknowingly). I have been using this forum a lot the past few days, as well as checking out multiple YouTube videos. These all helped me out tremendously in the adventure I undertook in order to boost the performance of my phone.
I've already encountered numerous issues with my phone in the process and like most beginners, I've also had a few moments where I thought "Okay, it finally happened - it's dead". However, I somehow managed to revive it time after time. Don't worry though - this is not a thread where I claim my phone to be bricked. But I do have a few questions which most of you have probably already answered here and there. If that's the case, I truly apologize. Please know that I tried hard to find all the answers myself, but that I have reached a dead end.

Yesterday, I finally installed CM 10 on my Xperia U. Why? Because I did not quite like the Sony UI and my phone was seriously under-performing battery-wise. Next to that, I really seemed to like the stock android interface (at least from afar). Hence, I downloaded the FXP CM10 from the official FXP website (cm-10-20131224-FXP-kumquat.zip). I must say that the functionality of this ROM is way better than Sony's original UI. The options you have for setting up the device, the way you can respond to incoming messages (read, quick reply, ...), the widget for messaging, etc. It would've been perfect even, if not for these issues:
1. The camera is inverted. Very strange, as I read that people were complaining about the time it takes to start up the camera app, but not that the camera was inverted. I thought that that issue was fixed, but apparently not.
2. I cannot seem to change the layout of the keyboard - an issue with which I am willing to live.
3. I can't add a corporate account. When I set up my mail account, it works like a charm. However, when I want to link an account to import my contacts, it claims that it can't connect to the server. On the internet I found out that you have to set the server to m.google.com - but then it says I don't have permission to sync with this server. I do not have Gapps (Google Apps) installed, could that be the reason?
4. Yesterday, my phone didn't want to unlock on two occasions - it just didn't respond. However, today I haven't had any issues so no problem for me.
Now maybe all of this can be fixed rapidly. You see, before I installed CM 10, I actually wanted to install the FXP 216 CM 9. According to Mark Sohan (YouTube account), this was the most stable ROM for an Xperia U. However, I can't seem to get my hands on it. I can't find it on the FXP site either (no longer supported?).
So my first question would be: Where can I download CM9 Kumquat (FXP 216)?
My second question would be: is it possible to fix issue 1 and 3? If so, how?
And if you would no longer advice CM 9, which one would you advice? Where can I find a (stock) ROM which works perfectly well with my Xperia U? Please note that I am looking for a stable (FXP) ROM, not necessarily the most recent one. As long as it's stable and offers the same functionality as CM 10, I'd be more than happy!
Information about the installation, might be useful:
I flashed the Sony stock ROM (.54)
In fastboot mode, I installed the boot.img from the Kumquat file using Flashtool.
Booted the phone, went in CWM and cleared the data/cache/something else - forgot name - might have also done a factory reset and then installed the zip file from the "SD card".
My phone is rooted, unlocked and has CWM.
Thank you all a lot in advance. Hopefully these issues can be solved, so that I can fully enjoy this ROM.

FXP 216 is not found, according to this statement, focused on improving everything in CM 9
This build is nearly complete and should make it into the 9.0 final release on time.

from what I've read FXP 10 has several errors, and there has been no development on that, it is best that you move to another ROM, but you have to open your mind and not only we want FXP, because there are good ROM Developer.

I've never had to use corporate accounts, so I have an answer to that, so I can say you that it is very stable, everything works fine when I had installed had great performance for me, I had no problems syncing my emails normal.

Try out slimbean rom based on cm9. It is much more stable and functional.

Dear Forum Members - This is my first post in XDA and so my apologies if I missed any protocols. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 International Version. Just like many of you, I got fed up with Touchwiz and flashed CM 10.2 using Cyanogenmod Instaaller. While the performance exceeded my expectations by a huge margin, I am facing one small problem with installation of Google Earth. Since Google Earth is not available in my country through Play Store yet, I usually download the apk and install it. I did the same after moving to CM 10.2 amd installed the old app from my backup, but realised there is an updated version of Google Earth V 7.1.3 available and downloaded the same from a popular tech site. The problem is after I uninstalled the old app, I am unable to install either the new version or the old version. I keep getting the Out of Space: Titanium Backup could not be installed error even though there is lot of space still available. When I faced similar trouble with Titanium Backup Pro earlier, I found online that by deleting /system/app for file Titanium....odex. file and it worked flawlessly. However, I cant find any such file for Google Earth. Can someone please help solve this issue? Thanks in advance

I tried several kind of Rom 4.4.2 CM and AOSP and in all of this kind of rom i found a problem with camera that goes in FC.
The first time after install it seems work well but then some second of use goes in fc, starts to crash and device restart and this happens Always camera comes open.
I search and tried some apperently Fix but without success.

I tried but doesn't work. I tried an orginal rom based on AOSP and on this seems work.
Now I must install a 4.1.2 to have an efficent device.
I've been on SlimSaber (SlimKat unofficial by fusionjack) and never once had this issue in quite a few months. However I've also tried 4.4 pac, beanstalk, spirit rom and probably others that I've forgotten without this problem.
To ask the obvious, you do install these roms with a full wipe right? The other thing, are you using the official aosp camera that comes with the rom? Or another app that uses the camera (e.g snapchat, instagram for example? There's a bug with the nexus 5 in which the camera will sometimes crash when using it with a third party app. I guess it's possible for this bug to filter down to our device... As I don't use any such apps I can't comment on my own experience with that. But google that issue to read more, you'll find plenty on forums about it.

I tried OMNI rom that is based on AOSP and now la SOKP.
For now only the Omni has been the better with the camera, but this rom doesn't have the same setting of a Slim.
SOKP goes like other AOSP rom. When camera is active for some moment seems work well so moving device to see and touch the screen on photosphere it goes in FC and reboot.
Some days ago, i do this test drag the Omni rom camera on Slim. result app in fault like all rom.
Can anyone explain me why happen if android, base rom are the same?

I've installed this rom and although it is fantastic, can't find the way to get some apps work well.
By example I can't watch the videos on Play Store and in Youtube.

Can't be fixed at the moment. All S5 ports have this issue.

Guys Two methods u have fix ur camera problem.
First is used stock kernal, in stock kernal camera work f9.
second is if u used boeffla kenal flash it and finish it first then download kernal v5 link gin below and install it with any CWM.
now camera working f9.

Keyboard Problem
Hi! Sorry if my english is not good :/ I have tested lots of s5 roms for my S3 i9300, and all of them work perfectly but all have the same problem, the keyboard don't show the predictions... i mean, i see the place where it should be, but there isn't any word there, i can only see a white line :/ i dont know which is the problem and i hope someone here can help me Thank you all for your work!

How can I make mass storage works on my I9300 with S5 sensation 7.0?
I tried SG Mass storage enabler, scripts, and other apps, but nothing works. Only MTP stops and phone disapear from Win7.
There is 2 Samsung File-Stor Gadget USB Devices, but "no media".
Can someone help me? With stock rom UMS worked, but with s5 sensation 7 doesnt.

First of all, thank you so much for your work. You give people positive energy that is sure to come back to you, but to a much larger size. You have to feel it. Basically, it works normal (vs 1Gb RAM), but there is a problem with YouTube - the latest version 5.10.3.5 does not work - the connection to the server is lost. Through a browser works fine. I think that the problem is not just me? Tried to install older versions of Gapps - only version of 07.26.2014 i can update normally (app works fine, but if i want view intro-video in play store or Flipp book - connection lost). Revision as of 06/06/2014 does not work after the upgrade. Sorry for my English.

Hi I had the same problem with youtube so I uninstalled it and just installed the latest one from play store it now works.
Cpu stucked
Hello everyone, I've just installed this rom and it looks amazing, except that with stock kernel and boeffla the CPU is stucked ad 1000 Mhz, even if I move the setting in Boeffla Config, with CPU spy or BBS, the max is 1000 Mhz! What did I do wrong? Maybe Aroma settings?

I tried to remove YouTube and install the latest version 5.10.3.5, but it did not work - the connection to the server is lost.
-> After that, I downloaded the old version of GAPPS and application started working only on version from 06.27.2014 - runs without problems and updated to version 5.10.3.5 - but does not work in applications such as PlayStore or FlipBook (the connection to the server is lost.).
-> GAPPS version of 06.06.2014 - all works without problems (app, in PlayStore, in FlipBook.....), but after upgrading to version 5.10.3.5 - does not work anywhere (the connection to the server is lost).
