Hi, XperiaSP 4.3 destroyed the LED for music playback in high volume.
Here how to fix it:
(make sure SYSTEM is mounted as RW)
Automatically (for existenz ROM)
download this file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50731080&postcount=26
Then extract the sh file to System/etc
You can change the values according to your liking.
For any other ROM,
1. You can save that sh file to internal and set it to run on BOOT using script manager (free on play store).
2. Or you can edit the following files manually every reboot:
1. Go to
/sys/devices/i2c-10/10-0047
2. Change the properties to all access (chmod 777) to the following files:
audio_agc_ctrl
audio_buf_gain
3. Change the file values according to your liking.
Works until volume 60% (I prefer this)
Good with music with low notes (heavy bass, drum)
audio_agc_ctrl 4
audio_buf_gain 0
Works until volume 100%
audio_agc_ctrl 1
audio_buf_gain 7 or 6
Works until volume 70%
Good with general music
audio_agc_ctrl 6
audio_buf_gain 1
4. Set those TWO FILES to READ ONLY. Otherwise, every time Walkman change track the files will back to default (7,4).
Btw,
Anybody have the files from XperiaSP 4.1? I want to compare it. Please upload zipped of all files on
/sys/devices/i2c-10/10-0047
Thanks
Thanks to DOOOMLORD for telling us how XperiaSP LED works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439651

Im using ES Explorer. to make it READ ONLY, you need to "properties" the file, then uncheck all permission except READ.

After much trial and error i have found out how to get the best picts on this firmware. SEE WARNINGS BELLOW!!
Try this at your own risk. I have not had any problems.
Thanks to larut for the camera mods!
1. First goto this link and download the files called "larut camera.apk.rar".
Follow instructions on that page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21336065&postcount=1
You then need to reboot!
2 Next goto this link and download the camera libraries.
http://developer.sonyericsson.com/w...ralibrariesforthe2011xperiaphones?cc=gb&lc=en
Unzip them and copy only the 3 files for the neo to the sd card.
Move the three files in the root /system on phone.
Change the permissions of ALL files.
Move the three files to /system/lib.
Reboot phone and you are done!
Before you start this make a copy of the following files:
/system/app
CameraExtensionPermission.apk
SemcCameraUI.apk
/system/lib
libcald_pal.so
libcamera.so
libcameralight.so
Use at your own risk! I have been using this for over a month and no problems. You must have Root to do this!
Enjoy!

I think this will work on other 2011 Xperia lineup, since you will be getting official drivers from the sony ericsson page, its just the software i think that was replaced ...
heard this mod will just make the pics bigger but will not yield any better picture quality....

Ah thanks, I overlooked this
Was similar to the manipulation of .42. Only there was a change of only SemcCameraUI. Here are replaced with 5 files. The size is now more than doubled, but the quality is so not added. The noises may be smaller, but noticeable. It is a pity
Well I install and tested with my Neo. The size of pic is doubled and the quality is improved, but just a little bit. I also notice some horizon fault line across the pics, not easy to see but noticable when you zoom the pic to 100% size
So I think this will worth a try if you dont have any issue the the card volume and speed
Thanks anyway for sharing!

Could you please make a version without those 2 icons next to settings? I don't need a button for locking screen and "swiping up" notifications, settings are enough for me. (and of course the "X" button when there are deletable notifications.) Please

You're right, so far - that's the way to do this and so I made it, too.
I have two sola phones (both ICS, rooted), tried different statusbars on them and every time the system stopped after a short time, i copied the systemUI.apk file to the app folder. Think, its because of you are copying a a new file over a running (system-) file. I used once the solid explorer (still beta, but fine) and then the ES file explorer.
But after a reset all things were ok and the status bars worked ok. Thx to the developers...
No matter, I just wanted to tell, if this happens (system stop) - just make a reset and all will be fine. :good:
Simple and does the work, thanks!

Can it work on stock rooted rom

It was not a hack,
It's just re-code the program for an additional features.
Limited is different from Prevent,
maybe the original programmers code this for the apps by category or for this apps only, but he/she does not prevent it from other category.
if the source programmers prevent other category for this apps, then that's the term of hacking.
android is open source, if the source code is available then there's no hack, coz it's sharing,
they said, there's the code, use it, modify it, add additional..... and SHARE again the source.
you can decompile apk by apktool or apkmultitool to become readable xml (source)
you can also decompile .jar by simply renaming it to apk.
example: services.jar, rename this to services.jar.apk,
you can now decompile it and after recompile, rename again to services.jar
Dear friends can any one confirm if this works on stock rooted rom. I'm currently away from pc for next few days and can't revert back to stock, if it gives a fc. Any suggestions

Yeah this works expt for some issue with adding an app to window side bar...
While adding..when u press and hold an app from list as soon as you drop app icon to side bar the app is differnt than you selected...eg. u drag and drop music u get video playr instead or something else randomly added to side bar...
.
So you hav to remove that unwanted app from sidebar and try adding another app from list...and after some random draws u may get your desired app in side bar...
.
Its tiresome yeah...but still unlimited window option works somehow...and we shud appreciate that right...
