[Q] Muzei wallpaper switcher - Nexus 10 Themes and Apps

Any of you folks tried the Muzei Wallpaper Switcher? There are some great plugins for it as well. I really like this app, and it works great on my HTC One. Unfortunately, it freezes-up when I try to configure it on my N10. I'm stock KitKat and rooted. Anyone else seeing this?

No such freezing issues on my N10. I have same configuration as you do.

Freezes up on me if i drag the blur all the way to the left. Leaving an inch or so enables me to use it but sadly without the full un-blur i just can't use it.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk

On my Nexus 10 it crashes at start, I can't really reach the configuration menu to se the blur level. Too bad I'm using this app on my Nexus 5 and it's amazing (tons of extensions too)

It was giving me problems with on Cyanogenmod. Works great on Scanno's Homebuilt OmniROM.

I figured I'd make this for people to talk about issues and cool things they find with the OnlyOne Beta 2 Rom
Good morning everyone!
Just installed this ROM last night and running it through the paces.
When long clicking on a home screen, I do not see the option to add direct dial, direct text etc to the homescreens, just apps and folders.
Any suggestions?
Those options are in the app drawer. Click on the app drawer then widgets. Long click the widget to add it.

This is the type of ROM/MOD I really like....plus the SIII TouchWiz operates great...I can get rid of all my other alternative lauchers.
I did try to do some of these mod's myself on the leaked version...svoice, touchwiz, etc. but there was always something not running right...so it's great that some take the time to do this for us!!!
Nice...running almost perfect thusfar...highly recommended.
Can anyone confirm if the tether feature on this rom is working?

Thank you for putting this rom together it's amazing.
The only issue I'm having is with the wallpaper. It says it's vertical when you choose it then changes to scrolling on it's own therefore it zooms in and doesn't look very good. Am I missing something?

Setting wallpapers with QuickPic worked without a hitch for me. Did you try to use it or just the gallery option?

multi dpi does not work. one of the reasons why i moved away from the rom. the new launcher doesn't support it + stock dpi is too large for me lol

Lock screen shortcuts are gone.

Lost my lock screen shortcuts and can't get them back. Box is checked in "personalize" settings. Any ideas?

Hmmm. Here's what I would try next, just for the hell of it: remove all of your icons from your dock and from your main home screen. Change your wallpaper to something else stock. Reboot. Put one normal, everyday (like the phone dialer or people, etc) icon/shortcut - not a widget - in your dock. Reboot. Check lockscreen. See your shortcut?
HTH!
Try going to personalize under settings and go to lock screen. There should be options for different lock screen options.

What did you install before this happened? You said you are stock, but are you rooted? Delete anything? This wouldn't just disappear without either clicking that setting off, or deleting something you shouldn't have.
I know you said stock... but did you install a different launch.. ie Nova, Apex... etc. and stop/freeze sense. When i did that i lost the lockscreen apps. Kinda sucks but sense needs to be running to have those, regardless of using it or not.... Good luck

Lockscreen shortcuts are the icons in the sense dock. Even if you are running nova it will pull them from the sense dock.

Yeah keep nova installed and just make sure sense is running... A little waste of memory, but with 2gb you'll never notice.

The only thing that sucks is that too change the shortcuts i have to enable sense to change them. Then switch back to nova.

With this you can remove Rosie and still have the shortcuts I think.

Don't disable Sense. As far as enabling it to change the dock, just go into Nova settings and use the "Default launcher" button towards the bottom. Go to Sense, "Just Once" and set your dock. Hit the Home button and click Nova, "Always". Done.
same prob with htc one

Ultimate rotation control will allow you to force anything to rotate. I used it to get 180 rotation before we had ROMs with it baked in.

Alternatively, search for "Rotation Locker madmack" on Google Play for a free app that works too, pressing and holding "auto" when you start up the app will make it run in the background.

Must have apps.

Okay let's have it. What are some of the apps you absolutely have to have on your phone? Apps that improve the functionality of the phone or just allow u to do really neat things...(not including the standard root tools like titanium)
Looking for other ideas. And go
There was another thread with a couple listed. I use button savior to be able to use back, home, menu and power/lock with spen. Pretty nifty, and stays well hidden. GMD gestures is another good one to customize spen gauss with and without pen button. I don't use it though, it's only five bucks too.
Edit: Pixlr, Nova, and JuiceDefender as well. Misread the subject, I thought it was spen apps :|

Draw something because the s-pen makes it that much better

Button Savior. Because uh, it should have been implemented by Samsung in the first place for the S Pen!!!
Definitely Zooper Widget and Minimal Reader. I have the pro versions of both apps and I love both of them dearly. And Nova Launcher (Prime), of course. There are so many!

IMHO Nova Launcher is the first thing this phone needs out of the box. Makes it so much more user-friendly, and keeps waste of screen space to a minimum.

DynamicNotifications or Knock²

so both these apps are imitating the new Moto X's Active Display feature...so was just wondering if people had tried one or both of these apps and which one they prefer?

ohhh really, i have only tried dynamic so far but looks like i need to give another one a chance
I also like Knock². However I REALLY wish I can use Knock² as the lockscreen replacement. DynamicNotification during screen on was really laggy for me.
I'm definitely in favor of Knock²+ v2
Knock is pretty awesome. Dynamic is nice and is almost there. I own both tbqh. I'm using knock now though due to its more reliable breathing function. I like both a lot.
Sent from my Note II using Tapatalk 4
well i got knock and for what time ive used it, i do prefer it to dynamic
Hi,
I used Knock² for a few day now. It works great for me.
But I got two problems:
1. The content of a new Whatsapp message isn't shown, this makes the app useless to me, because I can tell what kind of message I received with the Notification LED. I hope this isn't a limitation from whatsapp...
2. The Notification isn't cleared when I press the "clear" Button.
I already contacted the developer about this issues. He hasn't answered yet.
I've been using dynamicnotications since it came out just after the Moto X and I like it better because it more closely simulates the Moto X. Also, I have a lot more control over the look and behavior, and can set it to breathe off after 6 seconds, then breathe back on every 30, or at whatever frequency I like. Knock is much less configurable regarding look and behavior.
Just tried knock and it's cool, very colorful (which might end up taking more battery) but def not the Moto X experience at all.
I'll stick with dynamic and see if he incorporates the laundry list of tweaks I suggested to make it even more like the Moto X.
Do we know if these apps truly use the battery-saving gains of not activating amoled black pixels?
i m using widgetlocker
will knock show notification on my widgetlocker lockscreen or it forms another lockscreen?

Knock won't work with alternative lockscreens, says the description on google play.
Since today I'm using active display.
I think it's a great feature when it is directly integrated in your ROM.

Very nice. I hope CM 10.2 or AOKP 4.3 add this. I wonder if I can add myself to one of these and recompile? I'd have to do a bit of research first. Heh.
I purchased both. DyanicNotifications is not as pretty but it works, Knock2 is always really flaky on my old Note2 on multiple roms and also on my Note3 stock.
To me, DynamicNotifications does a great job of replicating the Motorola implementation. Knock2 has a completely different look/style/etc.
For this, I like DN, it's simple and true to the original. Works great on GNex. Now I have N5 so without amoled, it's not happening. I'll stick with my LED notification. I like turning on this beautiful screen anyway.
