Hey guys, just a 2 quick questions since i'm a total noob.
Okay well I have a samsung galaxy s3 GT-I9300.
1.) My question is this, is there a ROM based on Android 4.4 Kitkat that i can use on my device?
2.) My second question is, let's say i root my device and use CynagenMod 11 on my phone, is it possible to download an APK file for the Samsung s3 or s4 camera and use it? that's the only thing i miss is the stock camera on my device when i root.
If it possible with CM 11 or any other ROM and the link for the APK files please let me know it would be of great help guys.
I live in Fiji so hardly know much over here.

1.. no there isn't for gt i9300
2.. no again as Samsung's camera is closed source and it can't be ported to cm or aosp ROMs..

1.Not sure if u are confused or wat. Hes not asking if there is a stock 4.4 rom on gs3. Hes asking for any custom roms. At least tats how he phrase it. And there are 4.4 roms for gs3. Just no sammy based.
2. It is cos the framework is different in aosp roms, tats why it cannot be used.

No you can't use any samsung APK on Non-TouchWiz roms as they are dependent on TouchWiz framework

Does anyone remember S.U.R.F.A.C.E rom that was based on official builds for SGS but is there someone who builds barebone roms for SGS2?
Rom must support native Radio app and not use blue theme(like most ISC roms are)

I've had a look at the Galaxy S3 Premium Suite and I can't wait to get it but all the custom rooms are still buggy =/ is there any 4.1.2 custom ROMs for the s3 that are stable ? or where can i get a rooted stock 4.1.2 rom for my s3 ?

Seriously, have you tried using different roms here? Like TPAM said, there are many stable rom because it is based on official rom.

i would recommend sotmax rom..try the latest version 10..it is stable n almost free from bug :good::laugh:
You may try flashing SHW-M440S ROM or find from here to try.

Guess you can. Because when im using cm10.1 with droid 4.2.2 I found stock camera app from developing section. Just need cwm. I did it . Also working like a charm. But 4.2.2 cam app is the best. Y r u searching for ordinary one.....?

How is the battery life?

I using wanam jellybean 4.1.2 rom.
Can I falsh cm over wanam after wiping data and formarting system.

Maybe I could, but I think that it would also be polite to pay attention to the rules and guidelines of this forum, for example do a simple search for 'camera' in one of the most documented threads on xda, the CyanogenMod Q&A. I do not think it's that hard on your side, and that way it doesn't feel like you disregard everything knowledgeable people say just to ask a rather worthless question.

OK. First rule of XDA is don't bump threads more often than once a day. You've already been told it's not possible unless you want to flash a rom that's already deodexed, and until someone else comes along to refute that, you wait patiently. Do not bump this thread again for another 24 hrs.

Stock or custom rom???
Try to focus first then to take a shot.
On some custom roms this can be a bug in a source.

Galaxy S3 have good custom roms, I think that it have CM12.1 which is android 5.1.2
That will fix your led flash problem
