Hi all,
I've found the S5 statusbar quicksettings icons and wanted to share them with you.
They've been initially for kitkat but I made an other package to make them flashable on 4.3 roms.
This will replace the quicksettings icons only (as shown in the screenshots below), nothing else for now.
Tested on GS4 i9505,i9500 and on AT&T ( test and post feedback please)
How to flash:
Put the zip in your internal/ external Sd card
Boot into recovery (CWM, TWRP, Philz Touch)
Choose the zip
Flash and reboot

You are probably on 4.3 then.
Is there a way to apply quicksettings without custom recovery?

so this only works on stock roms?
Flashed it and it is working great on GoldenEye 22, thanks a lot!
I've seen some people without the green indicator bars under each icon. Did they flash a different version or are they using xposed, 3minit etc?
Working on Wicked v10 thanks
So do you just delete the other settings apk in the priv-app folder and replace with the one provided?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
working on vision x w/ jeboo kernel. I renamed the existing secsettings.apk to secsettings.apk.bak after I rebooted I had a choice of 2 settings apps, but got it working and set it to default.
tapatalked from my at&t s4
Woks well on Skyfall Rom, do get a few force closes here and there but it works well.

I am running SHOstock TW on my S4 TMO and this worked just fine.
There seem to be missing the "LED indicator" setting with the Galaxy S5 settings UI, or did I just not see it?
I don't have the list view, am I missing something?

This CWM zip will enable emoji compatibility throughout the system. I believe Jellybean supports it natively and some ICS roms (e.g., CM9) have it. I'm not sure if CM9 support is only in the messaging app, but this zip enables it system wide, which means you'll be able to see them in the browser, Twitter apps, etc. Unfortunately, they only appear in black and white. If there are any problems with flashing, you can manually extract the files to the appropriate directory (/system/fonts) with 644 permissions.
Flash in recovery or manually extract contents

I also got the status error "0" in cwm.
I'm using Root Browser lite. Not sure how to mount to read/write.
EDIT:
I managed to get it working. I had to tweak Root Browser lite to allow me to change permissions. I noticed when you extract the files into the /system/font folder, it doesn't overwrite the old ones; it just renames the extracted files with a "-copy" suffix. I deleted the old files then removed the "-copy" from the extracted files. Rebooted and confirmed its working now.
Thanks for this mod! Now I can see what iPhone users are emoji-ing about...lol

Since we're replacing the font files with modded ones, the emojis act like regular fonts. They're supposed to be black and white...unless you change your phone's font color to something else.
I think (in theory), the emojis on the iPhone are linked to a certain image based on the character combinations... : ) =, : ( = etc...

Yes. Look for the All Apps Multiwindow mod, or install a ROM that has it included already. I also believe you can enable it with 3minit or Nottach frameworks as well.

If all else fails manually do it by editing system/csc/feature.xml and add the lines below at the end. You have to manually add the apps you want in there and separate with a comma just as shown below for the browser.
<!-- Multi Window -->
<CscFeature_MultiWindow_AddOnApp>com.android.browser,</CscFeature_MultiWindow_AddOnApp>
</FeatureSet>

Do.I have to be deodexed for this?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Hi All!
I originally made these for the Droid DNA (when I had one), but I've tested a few on my new S4 and they seem to work well. Feel free to provide feedback and make suggestions.
NOTES:
- I have tested this on HyperDrive RLS9. Most TW based ROMs should act the same.
- This has been tested on Stock/Deodexed and SAC Custom and they will NOT work.
** Stock based ROMs seem to use the stock Samsung Theme files (.qmg). I'm looking into ways to possibly convert them, but haven't had time yet.
Please leave comments letting me know which ROM you're running, whether or not it works, and if it works then let me know if the bootanimation.zip is somewhere other than /system/media/.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Copy to your device
- Use a root explorer (I use ES File Manager) to navigate to /system/media/
- Rename the current boot animation file by changing the file extension from .zip to .bak or .old
** In HyperDrive RLS9 the file name is bootanimation.zip
- Copy/paste the downloaded boot animation file into the /system/media/ folder
- Open the File properties and make sure Group and Other have Read permissions (rw- r-- r--)
- Reboot and enjoy

Make sure you have system read/write turned on in the file explorer app. It was turned off at first for me and it acted ok but wasn't really copying the file over... And make sure the new boot animation name matches the old one exactly. Marvel is actually one of the boot anis that I used to test before posting here and it worked fine for me.
Maybe try a different one amd see if it works ok?

It looks like stock(ish) ROMs use the stock samsung theme files (including boot animations).

Any interest in taking sbreen's logo for Hyperdrive and making the "gears" spin and some sort of animation saying Hyperdrive etc?
What about a floating/spinning Nike Air Jordan Jumpman logo?
No longer in development, so I am not supporting this.
They MIGHT cause some force closes... I am moving on to other projects so I am not updating this any more.
However you can use Walter's script instead here, which doesnt remove as much bloat, but has no FCs.

Thanks! Had some issues with the phone and had to do MJ5 restore, but I am on Knoxraid so this is going to be very helpful now!
---------- Post added at 06:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:15 AM ----------
I followed instructions for installing on Knoxraid and installation was successful. However, the Samsung bloatware is still on there. I looked at Walt.White's Deloat thread and his instructions say to wipe. Do I have to do that for this as well? Or did I do the installation incorrectly?
Thanks.

Nope, I wiped cache/dalvik and Samsung bloatware (Link, S Health, Gear) are still there.
Worked for me on 4.3

Drive is confusing xD
Press CTRL and S on windows or look in the top right for "File" then click "download"
Well I tried to flash with SS but as you know it failed. Checked your instructions and I need to flash with Odin. Now that @Hashcode has SS working in KK I've just about forgotten Odin. Any chance of making a flashable file for SS?

Butch brother you can't ever flash a KK ROM using what we have right now, unless they come up with some new method. You'll need to Odin to KK first then install SS 3.72 to flash this ROM, unfortunately.
