My N900P in with kk4.4.2 and I tried to flash the MEID IMSL and prl to use in China telecom's cdma network.
At the begining,It could lock the cell and use the evdo to connect the internet.Of cource it can't make calls and sms because of the Akey issue.
unfortunenately, I did some thing so that it can't lock the cell and shows Channel 0 and SID/NID=0 in DFS. The PRL shown in phone information is either wrong. It shows 1 instead of the right 212 I flashed in it.
What's the problem? where is my fault action?
Who can help me? Thanks.

Try Flashing the mj4 modem only in odin. I had the same problem on 4.4.2 with the nab modem. My phone is flashed to a different carrier though. Prl would show 1 and show 0 signal and couldn't call out. The mj4 modem fixed it. You can pull the modem.bin from the stock mj4.tar.

Thanks a lot. It partly worked.
I odined the NJ4 modem and it could use the 3G and call and sms others. But when others call me ,it said it is powered off and can't receive the sms.
Do you have any suggestions?

That's wierd..In the build prop, try removing the line (ro.cdma.default_numeric=310000). You'll also have to edit the apns-conf.xml in /system/etc/ to get mms working. What rom are you running?

This is why you don't let your buddies do random crap to your phone.
I don't know if you have already flashed a radio or not but you could try it, honestly I don't think it will help but it is worth a shot. I'm fairly sure you lost your EFS, your IMEI and all that good ****, and I don't think there is a way yo recover it on the Note 2 without having a nandroid backup with the EFS backed up into it. You could go the Verizon S3 forums and try their IMEI recovery method.
It's hard to diagnose what's wrong without knowing exactly what your buddy did, if he did mess phone up for good and you can't recover the EFS I would make that buddy buy me a new phone.

How did he flash it? Where did he get it from? It most definitely should not have done this unless he flashed the Odin file in recovery.

Were you unlocked prior to him screwing up your phone? If so, I would say try restoring to stock and see what happens.

i've loaded Sprint 4.1.1 Samsung L710 Stock System and Boot Partition Successfully
Does NOT accept the Modem from sprint though. I keep getting Baseband Unknown with ANY ICS or JB Modem from Sprint
I'm thinking of trying US Cellular Modem tho.
Any Other suggestions to get MSL to flash or edit anything welcome.

Sorry to bump this thread but I'm having the exact same issue as the OP. I'm trying to use another modem and replacing the file you attached with the one it cane with. Then I attempted to flash it from CWM but it failed. How am I to do this? Even better could you attach a working .zip to flash.
I'm a Mac user and I only wanted to buy Mobile Odin only if necessary.
Thank you!
EDIT: I realized you can download Mobile Odin for free. I did and tried to flash the file included in LJ's post but still no signal.
Can someone experienced with modems help me please! I'm flashed to Boost, rooted, on KitKat using Freeza's Hybrid ROM with a MJ4 modem. When I updated to KitKat my phone had a 'Red X', so I had to get help to get that straightened out. Even with the NAB Engineering Bootloader flashed I still can't use the NAB modem, I get a 'Red X'. Now the NC5 is floating & I wanna be able to use that & any KitKat modem. Is there a way to configure my phone in a way that I can enjoy these modems or am I stuck with the MJ4? Thank you to all in advance!!

I'm not experienced with modems, but I am very experienced with flashing Sprint phones to Boost, and as it currently stands, there's no way to get the NAB or NC5 modems to work on a flashed Sprint Note 3. There's something programmed within them that causes your PRL to turn to 1 and that causes a Red X to appear near the signal bar. There's also no way to get the NAB or NC5 operating systems to work on a flashed Sprint Note 3 without having the MJ4 modem flashed to the phone. Otherwise, you'll get the the Red X and PRL 1, but at least flashing the MJ4 modem is a solution to get the Sprint Note 3 to work. There's currently no solution available for the Sprint Galaxy 5 .
After flashing my Sprint Galaxy 5 to Boost, my PRL changed to 1, and a Red X appeared near my signal bar. I can even do PRL & Profile Updates over WiFi, but I can't pick up any kind of a signal from the network. At this point, I'm stuck and don't know what to do. It looks like some one who's experienced with modems is gonna have to intervene in order for this issue to be resolved. Any help that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.
I have been running aokp_quincyatt_kitkat_unofficial_2014-03-12 on my I717 , with god knows what modem and had network coverage.
I then flashed the i717-ICS-UCLF6-Modem and had network coverage, right after I seen that working I then flashed BeanStalk-4.4.285-20140426-quincyatt
only to find after the reboot I have not network.
I have also flashed a few other Modems one the beanstalk ROM such as:
UCLF6 Model Download
UCLF5 Modem Download
UCLE2 Modem Download
UCLC5 Modem Download
UCLD3 Modem Download
and still no network, I then flashed KIES_HOME_I717UCMD3_I717ATTMD3_1117019_REV02_user_ low_ship.tar via odin (by the way that rom runs slow as hell) hoping the stock modem will fix it,,,,,but no.....
after flashing all them modem the phone shows no network coverage and if you go into the settings and search for the network it finds Telecom NZ and Vodafone NZ, I click on my carrier (telecom) it shows a message registered to network and then another one pops up saying limited access to the network.
Im stuck now, I have no idea where to go from here.
Any help would be great

Sounds like you are not on ATT. Did you enter your APN info in "access point names"? It can't find your network if it doesn't know what it is looking for.

Thank you.
If you have a note 3 flashed to boost mobile forget about using it on 4.4.4 and beyond updates unless you have a super imei. As a lot of yous know you can't use it on NC5 without a MJA or older modem to get signal. But that's not even possible now on NH7 once you flash the older modem (in my case MJA) when it boosts to home screen it freezes and reboots and yes its possible to go to NC5 after going to NH7. If you can get me a super imei please message me thanks.

I don't think that'll help it's the modem that locks down the signal when the meid has been altered it won't match with something in the modem and that's when it locks the signal until it's bank to its original state.

Ah thanks for the info! And good luck to you. This is the first phone I've had in years that's on its intended carrier, and have to say being able to take profile/prl/ota's without having to reflash nv items is nice for a change.

Have you tried the nc5 engineering bootloader with your 4.4.4 setup and mja modem?
Sounds worth a try.
Modems are tied to bootloaders now. The same thing happens on the S3..if you try to use an older modem on their latest bootloader it bricks and that is ON Sprint.
Now discussion of IMEI changing is not allowed on this site so I have to close this. Sorry.
