Please help as I flashed my sgh-1527m mega 6.3 with the new kitkat and now I can't do anything except I can get to the download ..this is brutal and at the top it says "set warranty kernel" what does that mean? Someone please help me ..I tried to download the stock firmware from Sam mobile and every time I download it I go to open it with winrar and it says file is corrupt ! Could someone please tell me why this is ..obviously I made a huge error somewhere! Even if someone could send me a link to the original firmware and how to flash it properly with Odin I would so appreciate it ! Thanx !!

It kinda sounds like you triggered the knox kernel and if so as you said you can only get into download mode and that indicates that it has been triggered..unless I am mis-understanding this but you can get the original roms for the i527m in my thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2461203 but I not sure that will help.

heh there thank you for responding and yes after reading all night it sounds like i did trigger the knox and im not sure what that means and if you can tell me what to do ? im willing to try anything at this point as this is a brand new phone and i need to fix it what ever say will help im sure!

Check this thread here and start around page 22 and check through as that should help you out as you have knox warranty in your phone triggered and this is why your phone is like it is now, you cannot go back to the MH1 original rom, but you can install a rom out together by @krazykipa which is available in that thread and should get you going again..:good:

I'm having the same issue, but I wasn't trying to root and change roms. I replaced a screen, it was working fine and then stated it needed to update. I said ok and now I have a phone that only reboots over and over.
I've tried reinstalling the stock rom L600VPUBNE4_L600SPTBNE4_SPR and still reboots. I tried going into recovery, it pauses with recovery booting... and then reboots again. I have search thread after thread and no luck. Anyone?
All also its stating knox 0x1
Go to recovery and wipe everything, then go to download mode and flash the latest stock rom.

There were some warnings from the KNOX about the security but I disabled them. Now I need to know a few more things;
1- How to check my knox status?
2- Is my phone still eligible for the OTA update, especially to the lollipop?
3- Can/should I delete the knox related apks etc?
4- which native apps are "blot" and I should delete them?

Well getting warnings from knox is not normal...
To check knox status turn off your phone and turn it back on by the combination of power + volume down + home buttons at the same time...Warning sign appears...Press volume up button and you will enter download mode...
Now on screen look for knox 0×0 ...if it is 0×1 then your warranty is void
==> No you will not get the OTA Updates after rooting phone...But when lollipop update arrives...Just flash original stock rom through odin...you will get the update
==> No need to remove anything .... Bloatwares have no effect on phone unless you open them I advise not to remove/mess with system files

Hey guys.. Bought a new Sam Galaxy Alpha G-850Y and tried rooting it using Framaroot, Towelroot and Kingroot. Framaroot and Towelroot don't support mh device and when i tried king root it Failed at 70%(rebooted once at 53%). Didnt worry then now tried updating my software by OTA. It says Your Device has been modified . Checked SystemStatus it is custom. Then checked root by various root check apps The Results were Different . see screenshots attached. One says not rooted one says not properly rooted and one says Rooted. Now What to do... titanium backup and other apps which require root permision say I dont have root. Trued downloading Supersu but Didnt open properly. As i think m not rooted. Now i am thinking to properly root it and then unroot it.
I want my device status to official. How to??
Or else I want it properly rooted dont wanna get stuck in middle. Please help

If you want ro revert back to stock status then search for the proper country firmware on sammobile.com for your version of alpha and flash it with odin. It will erase all errors snd bring the phone to the fresh os.

So, i run on this problem - my power button just gave up on working. Everything else is working fine on my cellphone.
Thing is, i have it rooted, and i have twrp, i need to revert to stock so i can send it to warranty.
I'm running stock KIW-L21C432B140 with 5.1.1 version.
Any hints on how i can revert to stock firmware/recovery & unroot, without using the power button?

Just use "adb reboot recovery" to get to TWRP and restore a backup of stock. (Check the file depot thread if you need one)

by the way ur phone warranty is void already unless ur country have some other warranty conditions ! . hope they fix it for u and yes follow @halomademeapc instructions u'll go back to stock

basically unlocking bootloader void the warranty but some international in uk and some other country they fix the phone either rooted or what ever . my country for ex. never fix it =) .. GD luck
But the code to unlock the bootloader was provided by Huawei... that makes no sense

relocking bootloader is fine but code 0 will be repalced with code 1 after first unlocking .so u cant cheat :highfive:

This is just the standard msg Samsung will give you when you unlock your bootloader and flash TWRP. Nothing to worry at all.
If you're too afraid of that msg you'll need to reflash your device with a stock firmware.
