I wanna get the Xperia Z2 as soon as it comes out , but I don't know who will receive it the fastest? It sounds logical to order it on the official sony website but they're not saying when will it be available, you can just preorder it, while Saturn and Mediamarkt are saying it will be available on the 15.04, on Amazon you can preorder too, but there's no mention of the release date , what do you guys recommend? Where should I buy it?

I pre-ordered mine in Black from Sony uk & got a free nfc speaker thrown in worth over £100, but I am not sure if you would get the same deal in Germany.
However Handtec are doing the same deal (free nfc speaker), if you pre-order before the 7th April & it's £55 cheaper than Sony
You could give them a call & see if the deal is available for you, which I think it is.

I wanna buy it from a seller located in germany, in case I need to use the warranty it's easier, seems like I will have to get it on the sony website , here they're offering a fitness band I believe for 1 euro extra if you reserve it on the sony website "SMARTBAND SWR10" , quite boring if you ask me, sounds like your deal it's a lot better

I know it's more convenient to purchase from Germany, however Handtec are very good, they have a 7 day no quibble guarantee and a 30 day returns policy for replacemant or refund, after that your phone has the 2 years Sony warranty.
Not only that but they also use excellent well respected delivery companies & dont forget you getting it cheaper than Sony plus a free Portable Speaker with Bluetooth® & NFC
SRS-BTM8...what's not to like :highfive:
& NO I don't work for handtec , i've just used them for many years & they have been excellent for me personally.

I have also used Handtech for my last couples of Sony phones (including Z2) and they have always delivered promptly on release day.
Not that Handtech is much cheaper than if I bought her in Denmark but the free accessories are much more valuable (with the Z1 it was the SW2).
Btw. the speaker from Handtech is SRS-BTM8.

Amended, Thanks
I ordered all my previous phones at amazon.de due to easy and fast replacement if it breaks and also early availability.
Just pre ordered the Z2 from Sony this time as i want that free wristband. I already received confirmation for the order telling me that they will send it as one package meaning that ill get it as soon as both - the handset and the wristband - are available.
I dunno if the wirstband might be released a bit later than the Z2 so its possible that you get it earlier elsewhere.
It said early april in the confirmation mail. just fyi.

I preorderd from Sony too and I had to call the support for an adress change. They told me they try to sell it starting April 1st but it still depends on the major carriers. He didn't tell me why exactly, but he said that no other shop will sell it before they will and we may even get it before the carriers do.

So I live in Finland, and want the phone as soon as possible, as cheap as possible. Where do I order it? Some extra stuff would be nice if it doesn't cost extra (I can live with 1€ ), preferably the wristband for curiosity. I don't have any use for an external speaker. Sony Finland doesn't sell this Z2 online.
When is the availability date again? Start of April?
I've been eyeing the Amazon.de site and its 599€, without extras.
I'm under the impression that its the same version throughout Europe, or do they differ?
PS. I absolutely want the PURPLE one.
@SuperMarioGalaxy
I'm living in Finland and I have mine pre ordered from Amazon.de as it's the cheapest I can find in Europe. I checked the Sony.de site last night and they are no longer taking pre orders? Anyway, I am not interested in the speaker. I would be more interested in the charging dock. I previously checked all the UK phone sites (as I'm originally from Scotland and I get alot of stuff online from the UK as it is cheaper than getting it over here in Finland), that is the sites that will ship internationally, and including postage you are looking at nearly €700 . So it is Amazon Germany for me.

No preorders anymore. I'm also looking for the charging dock, but none seem to couple it with the phone. Maybe its Amazon for me too, unless someone can recommend another store in Ger for cheaper?

Hey, did you have a sudden price bumb with your Z2? It says 599€ but when I was ordering it, it jumped to 624,01€ and I have no idea why.
Also, is there a hidden Paypal option? Why wouldn't you be able to pay with paypal?
I am ordering the dock with it for 30€. I like the idea of just being able to slam it in without having to fiddle with cables and covers and ports.
Well, I just ordered it but I feel scammed. There seem to be some tiny price increases here and there. Even after summing the final price and postage of the final items, they still add some random ,50€ to the total that isn't explained anywhere. I think I figured the previous price bumb. Maybe I'm paying Finland VAT for the German price.

Yeah I got that too. It's because of the Finnish VAT rate of 24%. I checked my order confirmation and worked it out and it's because of the VAT . You can't pay with Paypal unfortunately as I would have liked that. But I have an account with Amazon anyway cause I use the UK site so often as I can get free delivery if I spend over €25. But not in the Z2's case. But I like the dock. I may just have to update my order. Good finding mate :good:

One thing I don't understand is amazon's warranty, I tried to preorder the phone (just to see if it had an approximate date of delivery) and it gave the option to add a 60 eur 2 year warranty, so what does that mean? That amazon only offers a 30 day warranty ? :/

It has the normal 2 year warranty, you can add an A-to-Z-warranty by Amazon for premium service, but you don't need it.
Also you'll have warranty from Sony directly.

So, I pre ordered a C6833 from Clove what seems like an eternity ago & they finally have a date of when the handsets will be shipping. According to their site update this morning: First stock confirmed arriving 12th September, for dispatch on the 13th. Its a shame they'll be shipping out on a Friday as you can almost guarantee that means they'll arrive on Monday rather than Saturday.
I'm sure Sony will confirm this launch date later today in Berlin.

I phoned Clove earlier & asked about the chances of a Saturday delivery. The guy told me if I'd chosen Royal Mail as the delivery method it would be quite likely. If I'd chosen another courier it would almost definitely be a Monday delivery. I changed it over to royal mail on the phone

Well even if yours arrives on Monday you'll be pleased anyway to have a SmartWatch 2 and a SBH20 FOR FREE!
I have to check here for some offers, because 612 GBP plus 26 GBP (s&h) will result in like 750 euros, which is A LOT.
BUT, official Italian Sony site says the base price for the Z Ultra s 729 euros, so I guess I'll have to think about it, given that here a SW2 would cost 199 euros...
I have a friend going to NY mid September, but even with the exchange at 1.35 it wold cost me more than that...
What to do... What to dooooooooo??
EDIT: now that I've seen samsung and Sony (ironically my S3 writes the two initial "s" as I wrote them ) conferences, I'm more than ever convinced on the ZU.
Other than that, buying the ZU from Clove seems a real deal, but I wanted to ask some of you if they have had previous experiences, as in if I incur in some problems, will they change my device, are they reliable? Do they answer promptly to email (as I'm in Italy, I won't be phoning but emailing instead)?

This is my first purchase from Clove although they have been on my radar for a couple of years now so I can't help you with return issues sorry. I did however email them a few times with nagging questions about when they would be expecting the ZU to arrive etc. TBH they took over a day to respond to my emails. They did respond every time & but it wasn't as quick as I'd of liked. Speaking to them by phone seems to be the best method as they have always been polite, helpful & quick to answer any questions.
It does seem like an excellent deal when comparing the freebies from Clove & the prices other retailers are selling just the handset for...

I bought one white ZU (plus SmartWatch 2 and SBH20, luckily it's written on the receipt so no one could tell me "you weren't in time" ), and a DK30 dock for a total of about 674 GBP, a little more than 800 EUR. According to the Sony official site in Italy, I would have spent a little less than 1K EUR, so that's a real deal for me.
What I don't understand is, as this is a preorder (well, part of it, since the DK30 is in stock right now), why they billed me for the full order right away.
I was under the impression that there were a complex following of security questions, and that the billing would be when the product is actually in stock, but I may have misunderstood that.
Could you confirm that when you go to your account, under your order it says "BACKORDER"?
I thought it meant that they had a product and they don't anymore, but maybe they use it as in "we don't have it", full stop.
Waiting for your confirmation...

I ordered the ZU from Clove ages ago and took payment then so nothing to worry about.
Eagerly awaiting its arrival. What colour did you guys go for? I went for white (my first white Xperia), as it looks more premium than the black version. Which ones did you go for?
I went for black. My Note 2 was white (first white handset I've owned) & I always regretted it when I saw the grey version...
I'll put up with the finger print magnet black this time

I have to say I'm still in two minds - I love the white aluminium finish on the sides and the back will show fingerprint marks less.
However, I'm not keen on the front of the device with the white border, which takes away some of the immersion when viewing content.
I'm in half-a-mind to change, but can't decide. I've been umming and ahhing for days now!
Almost had the same thought - use one of the light backcovers if blacks back is freaking you out.
Giving you the generally harmonious design of the black version, and leaves you alone with cleaning session if you're bugged of it.
Very close to switching my order now, the more I think about it, I think black will be better overall. The XZU will go into a case anyway, so the fingerprint problem isn't too much of an issue.
I just opened an account and ordered the C6833 LTE from here.

But seriously dude even if people were paying double that, just let them spend their money as they see fit, its no concern of yours.

Not in my country I'm not. In my country it costs ~£640, I bought it from Clove at 675, but while in my country I would have had only the handset, with that money I paid the handset, a SmartWatch 2, a bluetooth headset SBH20, a DK30 dock, and I also paid for priority shipping.
I won't sell the accessories simply because I would have bought them anyway, so, for me, this is saving money, not "paying stupid money".
You wanna get it in February when it costs 450? Suit yourself, nobody is telling you what to do.
And by the way, I've seen people spending three times what was worth a PlayStation 1 when it first came out just to buy it on D1, and the same thing happens over and over again with hundreds of items, so go and wait for a price cut while we stand in line to get our first batch.

Don't waste your time and risk your money on eBay. Expansys is already selling the LTE version for $700 including shipping. For another $35, they'll extend the warranty they provide from six to 18 months. (With their warranty, if Sony USA refuses to cover the device, Expansys will return it to the country from which it came, handle the warranty repair for you, and then return it to the USA once more.)

Good luck! All I can tell you is that I bought my HTC One X, my wife's HTC One X+ and my Xperia Z2 from them, and every one was a good experience. The One X+ was the only one where I had any problems at all -- I'd actually ordered a One S, but they couldn't source it and so after waiting a while, they offered me the much better One X+ at well below their retail price.
And for my Xperia Z2, I ordered the phone, two docks and headphones, then they contacted me to let me know I could save money by buying a new, unopened Z2 UK kit that a customer bought and returned without opening, with that specific kit including the headphones I'd bought separately. They actually saved me a good bit by doing so, when they could've just filled the order I had made and got more money out of me...
So yes, three good experiences and I'm very happy with them. Hopefully you will be too! I'm pretty certain once I can afford the Z4 Tablet, I'll be getting it from Expansys, unless somehow Sony USA miraculously sets a reasonable price for the tablet. (Last time around, I paid less to them for the phone, two docks, headphones, extended warranty and expedited shipping than I'd have paid to Sony USA for just the phone by itself.)
We'll see. Here's to hoping. I'm not overly concerned with the timeframe as much as I am just getting it.
Anyone know where I can get the Keyboard seperately? They never released the keyboard for the Z2 Tab Internationally so I'm going to use this. The only one I have found is this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/301652441507?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
But $288 AUD for a keyboard alone IS CRAZY. I was expecting to spend like $100...
*EDIT* Found it a bit cheaper on http://www.expansys.com.au/sony-blu...or-sony-xperia-z4-tablet-black-qwerty-275344/ $240 + 18 Postage AUD
http://www.amazon.de/Sony-BKB-50-Bl...&qid=1433574303&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=bkb50 Comes to $214 AUD but no shipping to Aus.
http://www.mobilezap.com.au/53608-official-sony-xperia-z4-tablet-bluetooth-keyboard-case-black.htm $233.50 + $30 postage AUD :/

You're not going to find it for $100 or even anything close to that. The keyboard alone, direct from Sony, costs 15,880 yen in Japan. That's the equivalent of AU$166 in their home market, and you've got to add the cost of international shipping PLUS a profit margin to make it worth their while for any company selling you one as a parallel import. I'd figure $220 is the absolute minimum you're going to find it for anywhere...
I bought at Clove - 482.50 GBP, but it bundles BKB50 Bluetooth Keyboard!
Hey,
did you get the phone already? Where did you get it from and how long did it take? Are you happy with the reseller you choose? Please share your experience .
I got mine from Gearbest, shipping was fast (very fast), it came over the weekend, service was good. All in all I am happy. How are you?

Haven't purchased yet but may be purchasing from the below link. It may be a bit more expensive but I believe they ship from Europe rather than China and so won't have the potential extra customs charge. Would also prefer the black/gray metal model but it seems to be slightly dearer everywhere so silver would do.

I bought mine from GearBest also. Crazy thing is, if you purchase with their app, you get an additional 30% or so off. I got the 3GB RAM \ 64 GB storage, Gold colored for $218, compared to the website which was $255.
Shipping was fast, I paid an extra $5 for DHL express, and it came in under a Week.
All in all, a really good experience for shipping something like this to the middle of the U.S.
I got my (for my wife to be honest) from TopOne store on AliExpress. 3/64gb silver and with DHL shipping was 203$. The best thing is that they ship to England first and then to rest of EU so there is no custom fee's for importing! Can say only good things about TopOne store: very good comunication with seller, checking devices before shipping (you can choose not to also if you want sealed phone package) and pretty cheap price.
Edit: Also bought Redmi Note 2 around Christmass last year and em very satisfied with phone considering what did cost back then (130$+20ish$ for DHL)

TopOne is good yeah.
But!!!! I personally hate it when Chinese re-seller open the boxes! Xiaomi does a quality check and I trust Xiaomi more then any Chinese reseller.
The problem is: When opening the box, they install a manipulated fake-MIUI version and bloatware.
Meaning: First thing you must do after getting the phone from TopOne (and similar shops) is -> perform a clean flash and do a factory reset. (Sucks IMO.)
Very much true but, as I was saying, you can tell them when buying as a note, not to open. I told them to open box, check the phone and dont touch software and I got tested RN4 with, what it seems to be original china ROM. If I'm not mistaken they also write it on description about opening box (in case of buyinf as a gift or similar) and I got PM as soon as I payed the phone asking what to do and explaining about shipping.
Anyway, whereever you buy you have to read description and google few opinions about seller.

Where abouts are you? Did you pay extra for courier delivery or express? As your delivery was very quick. I'm looking for sellers who deliver from an Eu warehouse (I'm in the UK). You end up paying extra but I'll probably pay it in customs if it comes in from China.

That was my first purchase from them.
The discount was related to China golden week.
I got my Redmi Note 4 from fastcardtech and I was quite pleased with how they handled things. One thing I didn't like is that they chose the shipping for me ( NL post even though I chose something else). Other than that the phone came sealed, no tampering , nothing. It had the Chinese ROM with MIUI 7 and I did an OTA to MIUI 8.
When you also consider that I only paid $155 for the 16 GB version I'd say it was a pretty good deal.

Can't tell if this is too good to be true? Very cheap for the 64gb model, there's an extra few quid to pay for shipping and that's if it doesn't get stopped for customs, but even then it's still cheap. Anyone bought from To2c.com?
Sorry price was cut off, it's £127.

I have vodafone and I don't have problem with b20.
I can say that also I'm not on 4g the download is very fast.
I ordered from gearbest it cost me $200 along with DHL service of 11.49$, seller not yet shipped my phone i hope he will do this week and it will come to me at weekends...
Different ROMs?
Hello friends, I am new to the Xiaomi/MIUI topic, so please be patient with me.
I am about to order a Redmi note 4. I stumbled upon different offers from geekbuying and flosmall. What I wonder about is, that geekbuying particularly advertises one version as International Global ROM with Google play pre-installed and OTA updates capable.
I know that Google play is not available in China, but that - in general - I can install it afterwards.
Flosmall does not say anything about the MIUI version or Google play or OTAs.
Would I run into problems when I order from flosmall, then be able to update OTA and install Google play? Or would everything run smooth and easy?
Thanks in advance
I've seen Mexico is one of the best international markets for Moto Z: large choice of models and accessories, 64 GB models, interesting "bundles" and great prices... :fingers-crossed:
So I'm interested in buying it from Mexico (to Italy...), since European 32 GB versions aren't good for my needs...
Problem is that none of the Mexican online shop ship outside Mexico, since of Motorola directives...
If it was US I would have used systems like Viabox, US TO GO, etc. to have it reshipped from a "fake address" to Italy, BUT I was unable to find anything similar from Mexico...
Somebody does have hints for me to find a good solution?
I had the exact same question, and someone pointed me to Parcl. It's pretty much P2P parcel forwarding. There are only 3 forwarders in Mexico right now who will forward to Italy, and none of them has any delivered shipments yet (Parcl is still in beta, so it's pretty new). You have to decide whether you trust Parcl and their registered forwarders. If you do and this works, you can almost purchase anything from anywhere in the world!

Well... I gave a look at Parcl. It's surely interesting but...
- As you already seen only three forwarders reship from Mexico...
- of them, only two can compile customs documents
- of the two remaining, only one has logged in during last month...
- none of them have already a single feedback...
Would we try him? You first?

I won't, as I was only looking to import because Moto Z & Z Play weren't released in Australia last week. They were just released this week, and I most likely will purchase locally. Price isn't a big issue for me, local warranty is more important.
I won't be too bothered by the fact that the user hasn't logged in to Parcl for a month. After all, it's in beta and those people are ordinary person doing this as a side job. If I were doing the same thing, I won't login as well unless I was notified by the system that there is a potential job waiting.
It's still a risk, just like when airbnb and Uber when they started, and to some lesser extend, even now.

It's not a price matters for me too.... it's more about available versions.
In Europe they are selling only 32 GB versions, only single SIM and with only black version of MODs... at TOP prices of course!
About warranty... well, no more than 5 minutes after I would have in my hands it will be with unlocked bootloader.... so... bye bye warranty!

yes, it was only for two days, they have something named "venta nocturna" where you can buy using any payment and you have very good discounts. Also, here in mexico we have our "black friday" (buen fin) where for 4 days we have several promos and pretty good deals, from november 13 to 16, you can wait and see if any of the promos are suitable for you and of course, if you want I can sell you via ebay and paypal payment, I have no problem at all. here are the list of all the stores that will have discounts on "el buen fin" http://promociondescuentos.com/el-buen-fin-tiendas-participantes/
PS. I bought mine on Amazon on pre-sale and was $13.000, never saw it at $11,000, and also I had a $500 discount because the day of release.

I have a lot of phones in my history... htc 10, mate 8, note 5, recent and iphone 6 plus. Moto z for me is very sexy phone, motomods is a plus, and i like vanilla android, great battery adding external moto mod battery...
My average points
Htc 10 = 10 (very quality phone, the best sound on phone and the jack por headphones, sense wow)
Mate 8 = 7 (great phone, quality phone, very bad software)
Note 5 = 7 (great balance phone, a lot of garbage apps, need more vanilla android)
Iphone 6 plus = 9 (quality phone no doubt, balanced in every aspect... Ur phone and Apple owns you, think for u)
Moto z = 9.5 (no perfect physical disign and battery size...)

So its been 6 days, there is no reply from Mi Global Store on Aliexpress (and its still not shipped). Evem after i habe requested to cancel the order and asked Aliexpress customer representative to inform the seller, nothing. LOL
I dont know whats going on and how this store can manage to be alive for this long. But so far the shopping exoereience has been the worst.
Patience, it will arrive don't worry. As i recall correctly when they give you the DHL (or whatever else - if you chose the DHL shipment) tracking number it only goes live once the package leaves china and starts either from the UK (EU orders) or what ever else warehouse in north America.
I'm now torn between either MI global store - Goldway or Xiaomi Mi store. Don't know if there is any difference at all, but all I know is that if you using those Grey market resellers, you can forget any kind of warranty - RMA cases whatsoever.

I woulf actually try GearBest, if they cancel my order as i requested.
I bought mine on Rakuten site, (Europe, France), from order to arrive in my hands i had wait 6days. 354eur i paid for 128GB, now we can find even for 310eur 128GB
The only thing that's bothering me on rakuten is, that i cannot see anywhere who the seller is. Either it is not writen anywhere or im blind....
Like this for example :
https://fr.shopping.rakuten.com/off...9t-6go-128go-dual-sim-redmi-k20-debloque.html
I see, its a reseller from another site. eglobalcenter
you can see very well that seller is central-FR but it is from china. If you go here https://fr.shopping.rakuten.com/mfp/5849175/xiaomi-mi-9t?pid=3974212410 and scroll down you will find mishopFR 314,38eur
then GTMobe 314,39eur then Kirin 319,99eur,... all this are from europe. all they sell under rakuten site
never_msrp on eBay. Very fast shipping, no problems.
Around $400 for the 128Gb, I didn't realize there was sales tax.
Just for the input and in case anyone in Mexico is reading, I bought it from Doto (a local reseller), they offer warranty over 1 year so that's nice, and it cost me about 45 extra dollars, bit I think it's worth it, they ship it the next 2 days.

yes you can order from aliexpress, but if from rakuten, and seller from europe, you will not pay extra money for customs or taxes, and very often you can find cupons on rakuten , for example when i order it was 30eur offer for over 300eur shopping.
and if you buy on rakuten you will get points ( if you register as member ), i got 1700points what is 17eur, and after you can buy some other things in value of 17eur on rakuten ( for free, you pay with that points ).
just writing this , not to push you to buy.
Update on MiGlobalStore purchase:
So apparently many peoplr have commented on the store news pages, and they are complaining about how they purchased phones and the seller never respond to message nor ship thier phones. This started near end of June, till now.
Dont know what happened to this store but I am cancelling the order.
According to Aliexpress customer service, only the seller can accept the cancellation, which means if the seller does not respond, my money will be held by aliexpress for 40 days. That is just great. And thats probably what will end up happening, since the MiGlobalStore doesnt seem to care about no sh*t at all LOL
I didnt want to wait so i put in an order drom gearbest, and they shipped it (DHL shipping number provided, at least) right away. Will see how that goes.
For now, my gut feeling is: stay the hell away from MiGlobalStore, no matter if you get what you bought in the end, the overall experience is not gonna be smooth for ya.
You mind posting a link of the store pages?
I'm actually rather interested in the story. But I guarantee you that whatever you order will arrive at your doorstep, some people were waiting for a month. But something like that can be delayed in some many different ways. There is just no possible way that they gonna sell 1k phones and not ship them, that's something even AliX would not let happen.
I suppose they just have a bunch of workers shipping what ever crap they need to all day and all night. And have a "dedicated" chat team just on paper to please the minimum requirements to open a online shop on Alix.
But yeah, all in all who doesn't like that should definitely look elsewhere.

I mean, the price i paid on gearbest is 10 dollars less than this store for the same product, so, with this kinda customer service, to me it is very obvious which to choose lol
