CM11 - Camera file naming - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Is it somehow possible to change the names that the camera gives the images?
Right now, each image starts with the prefix "IMG_", which is something I'd really like to remove.
Any idea?
Thank you

[Q] Hide the page indicator in TouchWiz

Hi there,
loving my new Galaxy but I don't really fancy the page indicator telling me what page of the home screen I am on. Any option to hide it? And no I wanna stick with TouchWiz so no other Launcher suggestions please ;-)
Thanks
DoubleYou
anybody any ideas?
Hmmm I'm curious about this too.....
Im still very n00b to android but off the top of my head im thinking about the possibility of getting into the touchwiz files and making the page indicator graphics transparent.
There's probably another, more efficient way than that but..... .
I've no idea if that's possible but I would certainly hope so. Ill be looking into theming this thing when I get my sgs2 and if I have any luck ill let you know.
I hate page indicators.......

Yes let me know please in case you find a way? I was actually hoping someone had already found a way to do this though ;-)

I did it....
I dont know if there are any differences between the touchwiz apks in different ROMS but to be on the safe side, upload the file "TouchWiz30Launcher.apk" from "/system/app" for me and I will get rid of that pesky page indicator for you.
Its not completely removed, it still works if you long press on it, its just invisible.

sounds great will PM you tomorrow.
hmmm just noticed that the numbers are still there.
I was using a black wallpaper so I didnt notice before...
Damn. Will keep playomg around with it.
I also would of thought it would be as simple as making the numbers transparent, even a blank .png file?

Afraid not. They are called into play by a line of code somewhere.
They can be disabled in the same way you would disable the names of apps displayed under the icons our another item of text. Its just a matter of finding the right line to tweak.

Ah, that makes sense. Hmm bit of pain!

[Q] Accept/Decline icons on the incoming call screen

I want to make the incoming call screen look like the image attached, but I don't know which file I should work with. I searched framework-res.apk, systemUI.apk,
BlurPhone, apk for the images to replace, but I didn't find anything.
Does anyone know which file contains the images?

Hi, matchung
Thank you for your reply.
Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I want to change the looks of the sliding bar, not that little green android. I'm using a 2.3.4 ROM.

I found the files. But they're not in phone.apk, but in BlurPhone.apk.
I don't have Phone.apk.
And I still don't know how to get the same effect as the attached.
Could you give me detailed guide?

ok, find a way to do this.
if use system theme, then you should edit the blurphone?/phone.bak, otherwise, edit the theme apk.
what we need is the resources.arsc, inside root of apk file, u have to find the tool to do so.
find your need, right click on image to replace.
here is what i did.

[Q] Trouble Identifying Path (for Tasker profile)

Hey all, I don't know that this is necessarily a phone-specific question, but the first time it's come up is with this phone, so wanted to post it here just in case.
I'm trying to use Tasker to randomize my wallpapers using this method. I'm having a devil of a time identifying the path to locate the various wallpapers. They are all in a folder sitting in the top level of my SD card called "Wallpapers."
Astro displays the path as "mnt/sdcard/ext_sd/Wallpapers" but that doesn't work. I've tried other variations on that theme, too, and none of them will work, either.
What am I missing? Can anyone help a dude out?
Thanks!

Did you try "sdcard/ext_sd/Wallpapers" without the mnt?

This is what I was thinking.
Also, I feel like I've seen it referred to as sdcard2 in ADB on some devices... so try sdcard2/Wallpapers.
Also, I believe when you add the display action there is a search icon in the top right corner of the popup that brings up the gallery and you can select from there directly.

I completely forgot about this. lol That's how I always define paths in Tasker... just navigate to it.

You and me both, that worked like a champ. If anyone is curious, by the way, the path is "ext_sd/Wallpapers."
Thanks for the input, everyone!

This would be great since it would more easily allow you to select the correct version of your saved theme.

you mean preview to see where you are up to ? if you want a preview of the home screen, simply copy your wallpaper too your pc,rename it the same name as your theme,ie if theme is called new then rename the pic new, then copy it back over to my colortheme/exported/thumbs

You can also just rename it in your File Explorer if you have one installed. We are working on a way of improving this feature soon.

not everyone uses one including myself that's why I didn't mention it,an easier way would be better
Sorry to bump this old thread, but it still seems like there's no way to add previews of my exported themes (besides the manual method already listed). Am I missing something?

Hi kwest12,
Unfortunately not yet. The front end of Themer will always receive more attention than the editing side. I'll speak to the developers today about this and see how easy it would be to implement. I agree it does make things a lot easier, however the process to implement this can be very complicated.

Broken screen.... transfer modified theme help
I shattered my old phone's screen, so I cannot see anything from the phone. However, I can look at the SD card from my computer (the external is is my new phone). I would like to import a theme that I extensively modified on my old phone. I thought I had saved it/exported it... I guess I did not, as I see no files in the directory mentioned in previous posts.
From what I can see on my computer, it looks like the theme I worked on exists on the internal SD card. However, it is not neatly compiled in a .zip file. Is there a correct way to move these files over to my new phone so that I can use this theme without re-modifying everything?
Thank you!

When you export a file - it's saved in the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported/zip folder as a .zip file. All you need to do a place this file (don't extract it) into the same place on another phone. If that folder isn't there - export any theme in order for Themer to create the zip folder.

What are you even talking about changing the name that shows system wide for example changing Facebook to f#ck u

Sorry if I misread what you were looking for. Since you just posted a screen shot, icons on a window, using the shortcut Edit function is the simple way of doing it, for the name displayed with the icon.
Otherwise, if building the app from scratch, you can change the name in the AndroidManifest.XML file.

you really should have indicated that in your op, rather than snapping at @markfm
there are several items in your pic that would have applied to your vague question.
