I installed Ubuntu touch on my Nexus 4 per these instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Install. It deleted my recovery as well as the bootloader. My phone now has an absolutely useless install of Ubuntu touch with no wifi or data. If I try adb reboot bootloader OR adb reboot fastboot all it does is restart the phone back to Ubuntu touch. Vol up+ vol down+ power brings me to this weird new Download Mode screen, where adb reboot bootloader OR fastboot just says "error: device not found". Has anyone else had this problem?
FALSE ALARM! All I had to do was unplug the phone. Phew, that scared me!

I got a tablet device (Omega OT107) I've rooted it using
Code:
ro.kernel.qemu
method.
Next I'm triying to flash Custom Recovery and my problems started here.
What I've tried:
1.
Code:
flash_image recovery
- no success process of flashing never ends
2. Install bootmenu to /data/bootmenu
3. Installed 2 different 2Init's
None of this worked or even had an impact on how device works (it always boots in android correctly).
I've tried to boot it to fastboot mode to flash recovery from there but there is a problem that I have.
Volume(up or down) + Power buttons starts device to Android not to bootloader (I've read you need to remove and reinsert battery to make it work, but device has a build in batery and needs to be taken apart to remove it so I did not tryed it)
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
- boots to what I think is a bootloader (screen is black(no light is comming out of it)) when connected to Windows PC it is seen as Android Bootloader Interface (Android-SDK driver).
Code:
fastboot devices
does not discover any devices, clicking volume or power button does nothing.
Code:
adb reboot recovery
- boots devices it what seems to be useless recovery mode. At start there is a standing android dude with fireball on his chest, and imidietly changes to a lying position with his chest oppened and an exclamation mark comming out of it (I've red it is ok and I need to press Volume(down/up) + Power buttons to open recovery menu but it does not happen).
My question is:
Is it normal to some devices bootloader to look like mine? How to make it discoverable to fastboot?
I had this issue and I fixed with "press all the buttons!" and suddenly I sow recovery menu...to factory reset. if it doesn't work repeat with rebooting with pin
Does someone knows a way how to hard reset this thing?? ^^
about firmware
Any idea where find the firmware for this tablet?
Mine is now freeze on recovery logo
hard reset OT107
1.Turn off our tablet.
2 We press the MENU button at the same time + POWER HOUSE click and hold
3.Wait until the Android image.
4.Then VOL + button and the POWER and appears to us to Recovery Mode
5.Navigation is Vol-i + and confirmed by pressing POWER.
It is stuck on the bootlogo. I can press both volume keys to enter RSD mode, down key to enter fastboot, but cannot press up key to enter recovery and reset the phone.
Typing adb reboot recovey doesnt work, it just reboots but never enters recovery
Any ideas?
Posting here to let anyone with the same issue know how I solved it.
From the bootlogo, if you plug the phone in, you will be able to adb. Just type:
adb shell
su
reboot recovery
From adb shell it worked perfect, but not direcly from adb reboot recovery
From there I was able to reflash CM10
I accidently wipe system and stuck on boot! :crying:
How do I access to recovery? I want to restore the system. Is there anyone knows how to boot into recovery by using something else?
Hold down power for 10 + seconds until phone is fully off, then try the hardware button press again
( volume down button whilst powering on.)
Usually the hardware buttons will override and stop it trying to boot
If not will adb recognise it if you plug it into PC?
plug it in and in cmd type 'adb devices'
if recognises try 'adb reboot recovery' in the cmd prompt
I just officialy unlocked my bootloader because I Can't enter EDL mode somehow. Tried everything, EDL scripts, adb, holding the volume buttons...
The phone always restart the the system (it works fine). This is weird because I can't do factory reset either, it always boots back into my system.
Can somebody help me in this?
If you have an unlocked bootloader, why do you need to go to EDL mode instead just use fastboot.
Care to explain better?
The issue is: I flashed TWRP with fastboot. When I try to boot into it (Holding Volume up + power) i just get back into system.
This is just weird, as I can't do a Factory Reset either!
Download edl7.zip file from xda thread and go into fastboot mode and double tap on cmd file...your device will go in edl mode (red led blink)

EDL is for flashing fastboot files for locked bootloader as flashing through fastboot doesn't work. If your bootloader is unlocked you can just use fastboot. For TWRP are you getting any error while flashing it, if not you should boot into TWRP by holding volume down and power button with your phone turned off.

Hey man. Thank you for your help. But I think that I'm not being clear on what my issue is. I have some experience on flashing twrp and rooting. But never faced something like this before.
I can't even do a factory reset (from the settings menu) as the phone restarts and just goes back to the system. I flashed twrp but when I try to boot into it I get back to the system. I try to reboot into bootloader via the update menu and the phone resets and just get back to system.
It's just as if I can't acess the bootloader menu at all.
That never happened, try holding volume button before pressing power button. You can also try it through adb, make sure you have usb debugging turned on. For fastboot use adb reboot bootloader and for recovery adb reboot recovery

Yeah, tried that too. This is just way too weird to be normal. I'm sure that I did everything right.
Hi,
I tried to flash lineageos 16 on my bkl09 emui9.
It was working but it was impossible to install app by play store... I tried many times to re-flash lineage img.
I'm actually blocked on TWRP. But it doesn't launch. When i start my phone, it boots on twrp, and the phone stays on the twrp boot screen but doesn't launch.
I can't turn the phone into fastboot mod by pressing vol- and power . It just restarts and reboot recovery twrp and block on boot screen twrp without launching...
I plug my phone on my computer, it reconized as adb devices but when I try to turn into fastboot mode by adb, nothing happen...
I hope there's a solution !
(and sorry for my english ... :/
power off the phone, put USB port in phone, press volume down key, now connect USB port to PC with volume down key press. it should boot to fastboot.

hi. Please, help, i cant reboot to fsstboot. If i do this from app or from adb my phone just reboots twice. I can boot into recovery and into download mode
Don't reboot into fastboot, boot into fastboot.
1st hold the up and down and power to start up so that it shows more than that "...is now booting". Then power off and press "down" and "power" with USB plugged to enter fastbboot. In fastbbot, flash the userdata.img and the cache.img (This cleans data and cache totally) from Huawei's updates, then you will be able to get into TWRP without being stucked.
