Its youtube with a download tab. Mp3's mp4's. Its smoother than having problems with the youtube app.
I also experience lag in the YouTube app. Switched to the app Viral, and all is good.

The YouTube app does not on 4.4.2, nor has it ever on 4.2.2, lag. There is no lag in HD video, as long as your internet speed can handle it.

Lol. I love people telling me how I should perceive my phone.
I have 5 smartphones in the house, and this is only one with the issue.
I'm connected to the Internet through a 50 Mbit fiber optic connection and last time I checked that is sufficient for YouTube.
It lags at my end period.

You are allowed to perceive whateverthehell you want. I didn't quote you, I was responding to the thread question, and the OP's original thread. And out of that other 6 page thread, maybe 3 or 4 people said they experienced lag. Most likely, all things considered its YOUR phone, not an problem with G2's in general or a version of JellyBean or KitKat. It's a small set of people who experience odd lag, which is extremely hard to remedy when no one can reproduce it.
That said, I have not experienced any YouTube lag at any point with any firmware on this device. That's all I said, but it may not be what you "perceived".
There are many on forums who experience the same.
The odd is only youtube 5.xx lags, the 4.xx doesnt lag

Have you tried on KitKat? If it is out for your phone, give it a shot. Who knows, maybe it will resolve your issue. I have not seen or spoken with these people and the overwhelming majority do not experience such lags. If it is an issue with the firmware flash that was initially flashed by LG when it was new, then upgrading to the KitKat may resolve the issue. Likewise, if a person with no lag gets a bad flash of KitKat, it could create the same lags that do not affect the majority.
For what it's worth. It never lagged on AOSP 4.4.2. I flashed a stock ROM, and boom, lag. I'll test again on the new ROM I just flashed.
Lag still there, at least from me, i've install an inverted apk of youtube and lag is gone.

So, in all my searching I can find nothing to suggest anybody has gotten any of the Netflix apks out there to work on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 running HC 3.1. Am I correct? Is there no mod that can be applied to coerce it into working?
Yea no one was successful so far. I tired all the versions I could find with no luck.

Darn. I'm wondering if its even possible at this point given that nobody has been able to do it thus far. Which leaves us all waiting until Netflix decides to support our chipset.
You can always get PlayOn and stream it through your pc. That's what im doing. Works wonders.

That's not true. PlayOn is the software that runs on the PC. You can access all that content long as your tab has a wifi or 3g connection. Just leave your PC on.

I think I might be leaning the same way, especially since the GT10.1 doesn't have access to Google Movies either. I love the tablet. The look and feel are wonderful. But few tablet optimized apps and no Netflix makes me sad.

Hi Guys,
I have played with my new Galaxy S3 4G now since yesterday and i have a mix feeling about it. First of the videos on the net
Ex: http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/04/lg-optimus-g-att-hands-on/
This i can play on my iPhone which dont have flash but i can not see the video on GSIII. Why is that?
As i understand i cant download Flash either nowdays (actually i hate Flash but i'm puzzled how my iPhone can play them?)
Lastly my GSIII 4G is crashing quite allot, only today i think it happened 3-4 times (even after it updated to latest SW ALI9). I'm just doing a call using Bluetooth or going to options and enter a menu or start the camera....
I'm not all that impressed with the stability to be honest!

Either that or just download the lastest and last updated player from the market!! Never understood why people felt the need to get it else where as this is the last & most up todate version. (I know i downloaded both and there are the same)

Thanks for the link, will try it a bit later. It seems its not working very well on other browsers then Dolphin though, and to be honest my phone is already very buggy and crashes allot so i'm not sure now if i want one more crappy software on it (yes i hate flash to be honest)
I use the global (EU) Galaxy S3 4G model (black color). I'm really disappointed how unstable the OS/software is really. It crashes like once every hour now. Maybe its the Bluetooth headset that makes it jumpy. When i'm on the call it crashed twice and fast re-booted, call was up but transferred to the phone. The sound was badly distorted so i had to hang up and reboot the phone before i could get good sound. Going to test more without Bluetooth now to see. But overall it is unstable even when doing other simple tasks.
I am on 4g. I also think I am on the wrong forum. I am using the american sg3 on t-mobile. I have put my phone to 4g only. That my have something to do with it
I replaced my phone with a new one and its working perfect now. I just had bad luck and got a bad sample.

Matthew Fry posted the following here:
Ladies and gentlemen, I have the most amazing news. Pretty much the best news I can think of.
I have finally received word back from the Mali Developers. They revisited the issue and found that the fault was indeed in the Mali drivers.
"Following previous emails, the Nexus 10 issue that you have been mentioning has been fixed in the latest versions of the Mali driver."
It is, unfortunately, Google's responsibility to release this new driver version with the next Nexus 10 factory image. We can only hope that the fact that I/O has come and gone and the recent release of the Google Edition S4 and One on 4.2.2 does not mean that JB 4.3 or KLP are a long ways out.

So hopefully we'll see the drivers soon! They're supposed to be released here when ready!
I really hope they fix this issue. I turn off my tablet at night so its not a huge issue but on heavy usage days I'm guaranteed at least a reboot if not more.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
Wow I am so happy. Good thing I didn't end up selling my tablet yet! Also seems like 4.3 is coming on July 24th, looking forward to it.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Oh thank god. That's my only gripe with this tablet.
That sounds great! however... not sure if that is something that is going to be included in Android 4.3, if it was recently released Google would have to make a lot of testing before put that in Android 4.3, maybe it was distributed to them before, will see next week..
I am hoping with all my heart that this is baked into 4.3. I cannot STAND this issue any longer.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
I also can't wait to have a stable system that runs without fault for days, without having to reboot. I use a auto-reboot app that launches everyday at 7:10 AM just after my alarm, no biggie but if I watch some html videos...
Stupid Samsung. Ugh.
It was their mistake from the beginning. Idiots.
Not buying anything more from them for a while.

I think we have to hope it is going to be release as part of the 4.3 update. If the Mali update was from the 14th June then I think it will be included in the 4.3 update. If it is the 14th July then maybe we might not see it until 4.3.1 or KLP. Let's hope it makes it

If Google had done just a little bit of testing, we were not talking about this issue today. So I don't think they care about testing or quality. We are their lab mouses.

He means install Nova launcher from playstore and use it as your default launcher. Also in advanced settings of Nova launcher there is an option for keeping the screens in memory to avoid redraws. You can enable it but I am not having any redraws even with having this option disabled. Just use Nova launcher.

It seems these are not complete source codes and in fact you need ddk - driver development kit - to build real drivers which is not available to devs. So I guess we should wait for Google.

Is it good? I am nervous about 2.0 because I was keep heard the purple complain that 2.0 is lag a lot.
Does 2.0 still have the ugly low bit ambient mode?
Still laggy and losing connection.!!!
Just got it here in Florida, USA. I left it churn on the start animation for 20 mins before I turned it off and back on again. Then it booted up fairly quickly and started the setup, which also worked fairly quickly. All of my old apps seem to be working, specifically Pujie Black, Wear Mini Launcher, the AppFour Suite, etc. I've been cringing reading the horror stories for months. Time will tell (kinda a pun to say that in a smartwatch post! ).
