Tell me this:-
-From where did u downloaded it? post the link here.
-Is your phone rooted?
Plus i don't know much about installing roms from odin and found that most the procedures use CWM recovery to do so.

before i install the rom it was stuck on bootloop so i did resetfactory - wipe cache - wipe dalvik cache and still in bootloop so i downloaded the ROM from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-star/development/update-custom-rom-4-2-2-fakeslimkat-t2955068
and because my phone was in bootloop so i couldn't access the SD to put the file in it so the recovery mode had no use to me.
so i used odin.
now my phone is not turn on at all.
how can i get my phone into download mode when its not running?
is there a way to do that?
how can i get the rom into a device that turned off !؟
Please help me.
I NEVER INSTALLED ANY CUSTOM ROM ON MY OWN. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AT YOUR OWN RISK
right now you don't have any operating system on your phone i suppose.
Note: MtkDroidTools gives an option to boot in recovery. I hope it work for you.
Try this:-
-install latest CWM with odin or CWM
-then zapdos kernel (either with odin or cwm)
-then install stock firmware.
If it doesn't work, re-install the kernel.
Good Luck

Hello
I have the next issue
I have a Samsung Galaxy Europa GT-I5500
And it bricked when I closed odin 4.36 after, when the phone was in downloading mode due that there was no completion. I wanted to install a newer version of the clockwork (mod) recovery.
I installed an old version but was unable to install the CyanogenMod (hte one from psyke83) that I wanted. And after I wanted to try a newer version of the clockwork (mod).
And now the phone is with the PC---to Phone icon brick mode.
I tried the volume down + main button + power off and isn't working
Also i tried to run the one click unbrick and isn't able to connect to the phone. Seems that the phone doesn't reach the computer
I tried an usb list (lsusb) in the ubuntu and does appear if i connect it.
I tried both in windows 7 and ubuntu
Do you think is a softbrick? Any clues? recomendations or questions for more details
did you find any solution..
i have no warranty since it as directly imported..i have the same problem ..
i was trying to backup my rom when it bricked.. (using rom manager) .... i tried volume down + home + power button (disconnect button) but nothings showed up.

I had a problem with the buttons on the phone the volume down wasn't working.
What do you mean by home button the one with the home icon or the main one with the metal borders because is that button the one that you need to use.
I also tried the resitor of 301kohms between the pins 4 and 5 didn't work.
Now i have the 2.3.7 working stable at the moment
try that combination of buttons if not tell me
I am pretty sure there is nothing you can do about it, if it is completely bricked.
And the phone won't turn on, in any case what so ever?

Depends if it is hard bricked or soft bricked. If the screens turns on and appears the PC---/!\ --- phone. The he can try to use the three key combination or the usb homemade jig. Otherwise he can try to find someone with the JTAG
search in google JTAG galaxy for more info.
sounds like a hard brick. People claim that taking the battery and sim out of the phone for 30 mins (min) and then putting back in and booting to download mode sometimes works
You could try that
MY BROTHER IS IN THE WAY YOU DOWNLOAD but equally can not install any OTHER ONE IS A STRONG BRICK
On galaxy s this also happens from time to time, even i had it once. Try if Odin possibly connects anyway and flash again, if not, remove your battery leave it out for 60 seconds and then try if you can get to download mode again. You definitely have not hardbricked your device...

Did you already try: vol up, menu, power on (by this order, holding them all together in the end) ???
(It might be that for your device you should press and hold: vol down, home button, power)
Did you try taking out the battery (for 10 - 15 secs) and trying the above combination again???
Also you might find this page of interest for your case: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734997. Credits to @neerajganga
Please take a look at your PM messages.
A last comment; in my experience, using the latest version of Odin and firmware from the links I sent you, never required extra files (like pit or any other type).
Best of luck! :good: Share how it goes!
Hi,
So I'm on the Samsung Galaxy S II I9100, I'm not sure of what has been done before on the phone, but here is the situation.
Boot => yellow triangle & no os boot.
I'm a newbe, but I tried to follow guides to fix my problem, without success.
Check the attached screenshot of Odin.
All tasks seems to be completed but nothing is done, and the phone does not move from the downloading mode screen.
Hope someone will be able to help me or link me a solution !
Thanks !
EDIT: OOps, pls move me to the Q&A....
why there is 2 com in yellow it most be only one try to reboot the device(ur mobile) then try again but u have to remove usb cable from device before reboot
then flash again and it should work

Well, after rebooting !everything!, it seems that now it works...
Thats probably sorcery !
Maybe not, thanks !
1. Download a full stock Rom for Odin.
2. Boot the phone into download mode (volume down + power + home).
3. Fire up Odin and place the Rom files as instructed.
4. Connect phone to PC.
5. After Odin shows it recognizes the phone, press start.

Hey,
I have a Samsung galaxy s3 GT-i9300 that wont boot up (it only shows the samsung logo).
Ive rebooted, removed the battery but no success. The only thing that works is download mode. It is still stock (not rooted).
I know theres some similar threads already however theyre rooted with custom roms. Any suggestions? What can I do?

If you flash a official release from sammobile it should not increase your binary count, thus leaving your warranty intact. It is when you root or flash a custom Rom your binary will increase.
Worst case you need to use triangleaway if counter increases

If anyone's interested, I had to return the phone under warranty where they replaced the main PBA.
The combination to get to recovery is this (for future reference)
Vol-up + home + power button. Once galaxy s 3 logo pops up quickly let go of the power button and hold in again then let all three go once in recovery.

You guy´s soft bricked your phones thats why u dont get any where re-flashing, but heres something worth trying without risking anything!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JUST GET YOUR SAMMY STOCK ROM FIRST FROM THEIR SITE
Use this Odin version >android.gs/download-odin-1-85/.
Above the country code and you can know the three-letter code which applies to your country. Now look for the date of release and select an appropriate update release for your phone.
Step-4 Rebooting
Reboot by holding Home, Volume Down and Power buttons. Remember you need to hold the Volume Down button and not the Volume Up button as in the first step. You will get into the download mode. So, you phone is now ready to get the firmware via USB.
The phone will flash a warning about the dangers involved. You should not worry as you are putting the firmware back on the phone.
On the computer, now unzip the Samsung firmware folder you downloaded from the official website. Now extract the .md5 file.
Now open Odin, select.md5 file in the 'PDA' section of Odin.
Make sure that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time is ticked.
Connect your Galaxy S3 to your computer via the USB lead. Odin will automatically detect the phone and a pop-up message will show. Now start the process of transferring the file.
Step-5
Wait for the file to download. Odin will show 'PASS!' in the box once the transfer is successful. And the phone will then, reboot.
If it hangs on the Samsung logo, don't worry reboot into the recovery mode by holding down Home, Volume Up and Power buttons. Wipe the data/factory reset and reboot.
This will in all chances bring your phone to a functioning mode. Sign in and start working.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The extent of you phone being bricked may vary, but the symptoms are often the same -- a reboot loop, switching itself off after the Samsung logo or never getting into the operating system. As long as you can get into the recovery mode, there is hope to recover the Samsung Galaxy S3,
no success
Hi guys,
your solutions are great but in my case it didnt help at all.
My phone still stucks at logo. Only download mode is possible, but odin wanted a pit file always when i tried to download the sammy firmware rom. After all i even downloaded the pit file GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit. But even with the pitfile and Re-Partitioning it didnt function at all.
My SGS3 T-Mobile can not start at all.
PLEASE HELP ME, i am helpless.

Hi guys.
Last night i was trying to help a mate root and flash a rom on his 7500, and for some reason booting into recovery/download mode seems impossible.
Tried every button combo, unless it's not the power button alone nothing happens.
Tried using adb to reboot into recovery and the bootloader, but all it did was turn the device off.
Has anyone ever encountered something like this?

i would just odin a new recovery on it. That way u know u have a working recovery to boot to. Dont forget to check the md5 of the recovery zip before u flash it.
Could you point me to an odin guide? This would be the first time i play around with a samsung device.
Plus all the ones i managed to find with my google-fu seem to have the required files missing, due to their age

Here is a Link to my Q&A thread. It has odin and an older cwm recovery tar that will work for the 7500...even though i say in the thread,7510 only.
Just use the odin in the zip and the recovery..not sure if the root zip will work. After u have the recovery on and boot the tab up. Go get new verion of twrp recovery for the 7500 and flash via recovery. When you reboot,it will ask to install root. Go ahead and let it.
Wait, but how am i to use odin if i can't reach download mode?

Try running the battery all the way dead and leave it for a day or two..then charge it all the way up and try again.
I originally rooted by flashing twrp, than installing supersu. Everything worked, than I tried to flash a custom rom. I didn't work, i got stuck in a boot loop, which is called a soft brick i guess. Tried to flash other custom roms because restoration didn't. so after this it just got stuck on the Samsung screen, not even a boot loop. but it could still enter recovery. Tried using adp sideload to install a custom rom, i got the side load to work, it installed but still didnt help.
This morning i flashed the fixed twrp, system, boot, ect. Now i cant even enter recovery mode it boots into download mode. Please help. I tired the files here https://forum.xda-developers.com/gr...sm-s920l-straight-talk-verizon-t3411688/page4. Now i cant even load twrp. i could before.

I think i did from the link I posted. It came with a stock system. I tried flashing it along with the boot on odin. Is it possible my phone is just unfix-able? I mean I'd think as long as the hardware isnt damaged its possible to do it,
please halp. I realize i was impatient and made mistakes as a result. I know you guys HATE noob question who want a simple step by step instruction, but ill never ask again. I'll be much more cautious next time.

If it was 4.4.2 then it would've been S902L but the weird thing here is, Is it S5 or Grand Prime?
SM-g900v seems to be totally something else. Just pull off your battery nd see the model written on your phone. In fact, post a picture of that model nd other information.
Download Odin 3.10.7 from This Website. Nd then let me know quickly about your exact model.

I can't see the picture in both of your replies. Please post the image on https://postimage.io/ nd give me the link of file. If Xda doesn't allow you to post links, as you're a junior member, then send me the link in a private message.

Here's what you need to do quickly.
Download Samsung USB Drivers. Extract them nd install them in your PC.
Download twrp-3.0.2-2-klte.img.tar from Here.
Download SuperSU v2.46
Copy the supersu to your sdcard nd plug in the sdcard back to phone.
Open up Odin nd untick the option of Auto-Reboot from it, after that you need to Boot Into Download Mode.
To do that:
1. Power your phone off. Once it is completely off
2. Press and hold volume down + home button +
Power buttons at the same time.
3. You'll see a screen asking if you want to go
Into "download load" press volume up to
confirm download mode.
4. You should now see the little green Android
Guy, and it should say "downloading.... please
Do not turn off"
Now you should connect your phone to your pc. If your phones drivers are installed correctly, com and a random number should show up in the first spot in the upper left corner of Odin.
Now select the AP button in Odin nd navigate to where you download twrp file. Just select it, you should see the name of your twrp file besides the AP button.
Also, you should see a message of "Added" on the left in Odin if your phone is properly connected.
After you've selected twrp in AP, click on Start button on the lower section of Odin.
Now your TWRP should be flashed it would take some 10Seconds.
Get back to me quickly nd yes download This Firmware in the meanwhile.

I dont have an sd card. I cant even boot into recovery anymore. the button combo doesn't work. I have drivers already. That link doesn't work, like it has a videa ad, counts down and doesn't let me download the firmware I tried yesterday, it just says "user not logged in" but I was logged in. I tried it like 10 times, even disabling ad block.

I told you a different combo, not the recovery one. For recovery it is Volume up nd other buttons.
For Download Mode it is Volume Down + Home + Power Button.
Download the firmware I provided you nd extract in anywhere in your PC where you can access it easily.

Doesn't work. says "User not logged in". But I am logged in. That link is broken. I have a newer hp with the most recent windows 10 installed.

It is weird how it isn't downloading for you, probably there's some issue with your account. You might need to log out nd log back in. It starts downloading for me look at the attached screenshot.
Anyways, go up with that one nd see if it starts downloading for you.
