[Q] Alcatel 4030X Unbricking Method?? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So yes I know I'm a noob, but I have SOME know-how on android, I have an Alcatel One Touch S'Pop that my friend gave me, he's tried fixing it but no success, fortunately i've found the software named "OT_4030X_20130507.tar.xz" he downloaded and told me to install onto it however I hae NO idea what to do with it or what program to install it with, the phone only has 2 animation, the first when its charging and the second is the boot screen, it also loads the android system recovery and has the option to install from sd card so if I can load the data somehow, how can I unbrick it this way or any other way?
Thanks

I think its just a caes of placing the file onto your SD card, going into sys rec, and choose "install from SD". Let me know how you get on as my 4030 wont boot either.....

Use the alcatel update software, is pretty mucho like re-flashing your phone

Flashing dead Android B63M Dual Sim, bricked?

Hi there all,
Thanks in advance for looking,
Please forgive me I am a complete novice when it comes to Android phone
I have a chinese dual sim with android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, as main stream manufactures dont make Android dual sim phones.
I have routed the phone useing superoneclick.
I have been loking for a way to do a total back up of the phone to preseve it.
I have downloaded titanium back up pro and clock recovery mod as well as droid X recovery.
My problem started when I used the "fix permissions" option in droid X which proceeded to over write my system resulting a expensive brick.
now my phone won't start. It keeps booting up in a loop and I cannot get to the recovery to wipe the memory and start again.
Its locked in a loop trying to boot up.
I have read on the forum that it is possible to re-flash through the sd slot on the phone.
1) Is this possible with my mobile?
2) If so what software do I use ?
3) A good simple guide in the process would be a must as I am complete novice.
4) Please bear in mind that this is not a mainstream phone.
this may help you
Hi chunky2
B63M is a good dual sim Android phone.
There is an italian team working on B63M on technoforum dot it.
They have developed some good roms, use google translate and flash a new rom.
You have to update the BOOT Recovery (it is very easy, just follow the info on the site) then go in recovery mode and flash the new rom you have downloaded, all ones are better then the original one.
Good luck

It has gingerbread 2.3.5 i think lol
any help GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks:good:
Hello ukgt-l9000... this problem happened even on my phone... what happenes is that you put something in your device that it can't handle so instead of turning on it just freezez on bootlogo.... what you have to do is:
1) the easy way: buy a new phone
2) the complex way do what i tell you to do under...
A) turn off the frozen device
B) find an identical WORKING device
C) install a custom recovery on that device (if it is not already installed)
D) reboot the working device into recovery
E) do a Backup of it on the external SD card and when it is done turn it off
F) get the external SD card and put it in the frozen device
G) turn on the frozen device into recovery and do restore when it finishes your device will work again

[Q] android boot problem

Hi,
I have bought recently an Alcatel idol mini android phone, After installing a video background, it restarted suddenly and never boot after that.
it just stuck at alcatel video logo. Its master reset also doesn't work. Battery and SD memory is also inside the phone and not available. Is there any one how can guess what has happened to the phone?
I guess its ROM is damaged somehow, e.g. with a virus. anyways is there any tool that can program mobile rom from computer while the phone is not booted? my phone is detected by windows device manager.
thanks

HDC G900F Help needed

Hey guys
Flatmate bought an HDC G900F MTK 6592 for his dad and as soon as he put a sim card in it starts giving error that com.android.phone is crashing constantly.
Looked around for ways to fix it everywhere I could think and the only solution suggested that could work is if I can somehow root + flash the recovery to put a new version of Android on it or at least flash new stock apps or something. So far though I've found no ways of doing this as the only methods I've found suggest using CWM to install but never shows how to install CWM as the phone does not have a Download Mode (it instead has "Factory Mode" which doesn't seem to let me do anything like install a new recovery unless I'm missing something).
If anyone has anything that would work to possibly fix this phone please let me know.
Any help is much appreciated.
UPDATE:
Have managed to root and flash on CWM but having trouble flashing on a ROM that will do anything but sit at a black screen.
I have used all of the roms here MTKROMS, porting them for my phone each time but still no luck, just getting black screen on boot time after time.
Help?
Where to buy this phone?
Hdcmobile.com
Or
Hdc-mobile.com
Which is real?

Why does my device enter in a boot loop?

I have an Alcatel One Touch Pop C7 7041x, I have rooted it, and it enters in a boot loop every time I try to replace a system file, such as a *.ttf font for example. Then the only way to fix the boot loop is to flashing a ROM. Why does not my device let me to replace any system file? If I am unable to replace system files then rooting my device is useless. What can I do? Maybe it is a hardware limitation by Alcatel? Should I buy another different device?

I had already done it. I tried to flash different ROMs that I found on the Internet but the same is happening. The phone keeps entering in a bootloop if I replace any system file. What's up with this device? It seems its root directory is unable to been writed even if I am a superuser.

I think there is a problem in some alcatel devices, as i can see there are so many people over forum complaining about bricking of their alcatel devices after changing font.

I think you are right, because this morning I took my mother's Sony Xperia U and did some tests. I rooted it, changed fonts, change system files... and nothing happened. The pone kept working seamlessly. Perhaps the issue of bricking by changing system files is only a problem of Alcatel phones. I will never buy an Alcatel... just in case!
