Hello guys,
is there a difference between the housing of the CDMA & GSM models? I want to change my EVO GSM housing into a white one. Is this possible?

Hi,
Recently i have aquired and HTC Hero.
While i was reading posts here at xda, i encountered people talking about GSM and CDMA, where i got really confused.
I've searched google to answer my questions and only i could find was Sprint version and Europian vertion, plus got more confused.
Here is the link of the Hero i have:

What are the deferences about those two Hero's?
What vertion do i have?
if you put a simcard in it it is GSM, if not it is CDMA. the picture you linked is AFAIK a gms hero, not sure whether you can tell it for sure just by looking at it. GSM and CDMA are different mobile network technologies, to make it short GSM is europe CDMA is usa.
With the hero its quite easy though, the CDMA version looks different to the GSM.
But phones normally look the same.
Pretty sure you have a GSM Hero. That looks to be a European site (selling in Euros) - is it Portugal? All European Heros are GSM. The CDMA ones are for the Sprint network in the USA. The main difference is that they use different mobile phone technology. And the GSM one has a SIM card the CDMA one does not.
I have the GSM Evo 3D with the gold ring around the camera instead of red, and the 900, 1700, and 2100 bands for 3G. Which region is the phone for? I was wondering which RUU I need to use in case I have to restore and if all of the GSM ROMs are compatible with it unless otherwise noted.
*bump, a quick answer would be appreciated, thanks
Probably Rogers ....mines gold too

Thanks for the reply. I know that it's not the Rogers one because Rogers 3G is on 850/1900/2100 bands. Mine works with 900/1700/2100 3G bands. Also, I don't have a Rogers logo on the back.
According to PDADB.NET it is HTC EVO 3D X515 (HTC Shooter).

Hey guys & girls,
Look i have a Fujitsu DoCoMo F-05D Arrows X LTE annd i want to put a ENGLISH version of Android on it but have no idea where to start. I dont want any of the Japanese text or language on it either.
can any one help with this as this will be my first time Rooting a phone. Also i will be using a Telstra 4G sim with this device so ill need the gsm and lte settings for Australia on it too. If none of this is possible i will be selling it if anyone is interested.
Thanks.
I live in Croatia. How can I most safely tell if my EVO 3D is CDMA or GSM? I'm asking this because I plan to put custom ROM on it so I must be sure.
Thanks in advance!
We have the GSM version in Europe, while the CDMA was prepared to US market. So most likely you have the GSM. But if you want to check it by yourself here is the trick.
There is a difference in trim colour around the cameras. GSM has gold trim, CDMA has red trim.
Oh! And the pins (for wire trick) are in different places:

- CDMA: http://www.pocketables.com/images/old/6a00d83451c9ec69e2016305b34134970d-pi.png
Look for those tiny holes and if you find them you'll be sure.
