So I read somewhere that any variant can flash another's ROM, as long as they follow up by flashing their own variant's kernel. Is this true so did I misread something. Thanks for any help as always.

That is half true since not all variants are exactly the same. International Versions (E975, 977, f180) have 32 gig internal storage, 13 mp camera and no micro sd slot, while our e970 has an 8mp shooter, 16 gig internal memory and an sd slot. Flashing the international version's rom to our at&t variant will most likely result in a brick, so don't try it.

NEVER flash a ROM from another phone unless the post specifically states that your device (the E970 in this case) is supported. Doing so will either result in a brick or, if you're lucky, just a bunch of errors. Even though the other variations are similar there are so many differences in hardware (e.g. the camera, the modem bands, etc.) that you won't have a flawless experience.

Hello all,
I'd like to get a microsd for my i9100 (european) with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 oboard. The more space I can get, the better it is, so I was thinking to get a 64GB sd. Yes, I know that such a microsd has to be formatted in fat32 in order for i9100 to use it, but what is not clear to me yet is whether the phone would be able to move apps to a 64GB card.
Any first hand experience or suggestion?
Thanks
you can use a 64gb card. u just have to format it once its in the phone. it wont work if u dont format it. 16/32gb cards will work fine right away.
Buy two 32 gb SD Cards.

he probably can but he wants to have one 64gb card.
Doesn't matter, 64 SD will give him a headache.

Thanks. I'm asking coz there seems to be a guy (don't remember exactly on which forum) suggesting that a 64GB is good for anything except moving apps to SD. So I was wondering if someone has first hand experience
but having 2 sd cards is a problem in itself. . what if my app data is in one card nd other data in second but what is i want to access both at the same time

I found the post of that guy (on XDA): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27863536&postcount=193
If you read through that thread properly (and other threads), you can move apps to 64GB cards. It sometimes takes a bit of mucking around is all.

Hey ,
I would like to suggest make external as internal sd card.
You can store your all apps with ease on ext card ( 4 0+ has built-in function if i am not wrong)
anyway this is the app to make your external sd as internal and vice versa.

AW: S2 i9100 and 64GB microsd
So just to clear it up. It is working pretty well on Stock 4.0.4 Rom (Germany). just format it as FAT32.
What do you mean with installing Apps on SD Card. Why do you need this.. Is the 16GB of Internal Storage not enogh for your Apps :what:

For a very bad luck I destroyed the S2 just hours after I ordered a 64gb SanDisk!
I would appreciate suggestions on which phone to buy as a replacement! Obviously with a 64gb microsd capable slot

Maybe an S3 since it has native exFat Support.

Does the Razr Maxx XT910 support the SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC Class 10 Memory Card? I'm thinking of getting one, but I want to be sure I can use it with my phone...
Here's the link to the one I'm considering: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/SanDisk...457270220&skuId=4120116&st=micro sd&cp=1&lp=6
Just for what it's worth, I'm running Latam Fido Canada JB 4.1.2 firmware stock/rooted Rom. Thanks in advanced!

One last thing, though... I read up on some people asking about "merging" internal and external SD storage, but all I found was for GB and ICS... As I am currently running JB 4.1.2, I'm not sure if those would apply for me... Are there any JB specific guides on doing this?? I would love to do this and get as much out of those 64GB for games and such! Sorry if there's another obvious thread I'm missing... And thanks in advanced!
Hello devs,
I am scheduled to receive my ATT 64 GB HTC ONE tomorrow. Any devs out there need me to check for certain files before I make changes?
Just throwing this out there.

do yo u mean what kind of files you might need to unlock bootloader, root, and flash a custom rom? is that your question?
otherwise if you want to use the phone itself on stock, then you dont need anything.

Hey, so I'm on T-Mobile in the LA area and I know that I can get 20Mbps INSIDE MY HOUSE, because when I was running stock ICS freshly rooted and freshly unlocked I got 20Mbps when I did a speed test.
But now with Beanstalk installed I can't seem to get more than 5Mbps data speeds. And that's from the AT&T JB radio.
I don't care about LTE if I can get 20Mbps HSPA+ like I've seen in some screenshots.
Which modems are the best? I can't seem to get anything more then 2Mbps from mako modems, (I've only tried .48 and .98). And the hybrids don't flash except for a few I've been able to find here and there throughout the forums and they only give me 1Mbps
Thanks to anyone that can help.
You had 20mb on this phone or a previous one you were using?

Do you have a copy of the ICS radio? Your problem did begin after you switched radios and ROM, correct?

No I don't. :-\
I noticed it had really slowed after I flashed a hybrid radio to fix the GPS that wasn't working with the previous stock radio/Beanstalk ROM.
Yesterday after you replied to my question I saw that your signature contained a link to hybrid radios and I tried the 27/84 hybrid but GPS wouldn't lock and data was only 3Mbps, so I reflashed the Jelly Bean at&t radio and did a speed test in the exact same spot and got 13Mbps. And GPS locked in 7 seconds.
I think I may just stick with the jelly bean radio after all. 13Mbps is plenty fast. Maybe it depends on when I do the test, IDK.
Thanks for replying. Maybe flashing the hybrid you linked to and then the jelly bean increased my speed. Lol.
Thread can be closed now.

The real question here is ... why would you get the version with 16GB of storage when the 32gb is just a few bucks more?

some people like me rarely take pictures/ record videos, and do not install bunch of games and apps
so, 16gb is more than enough for me... If I need more, I can always put a microsd...
And yeah... 16gb is just $123 here in Indonesia
$123 for a 3GB, Snapdragon 625, fullHD, 4100mah, Fingerprint, IR, FM, Gyro, Compass is crazy bargain.

it's really confusing, because Redmi has different codename for 4 and 4x.
thanks for clearing that up, and how about the back of the phone?
i asked the seller and he said plastic back, is it like the one on Kenzo? middle metal with top and bottom plastic?
