Hello, I have a thing to ask users on this forum.
I recently bought a SGSII is rooted, I installed on it KK, but now I decided to I install this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/ rom-gt-i9100-Moke-os-t2157837, the idea is that you know how to make the install as far as I see this rom is based on CM7, and I know where I can find the files needed to install firmware gingerbread, after that you can install this rom!
If anyone can explain to me step by step about what to do to not get to brick.
I need links for files like : Firmware , Modem , Kernel , How to roog GB ,
Thank you very much.
As vrea niste linkuri pentru : Firmware , Modem , Kernel , How to roog GB . Eventual un tutorial ceva .
Va multumesc mult .
so , as far I understood , you want to downgrade to gingerbread from jelly bean ? if so , flash a new recovery , and flash the gb rom ( make sure you are wiping everything and a clean flash ) same with kk .. flash a new recovery and flash the gb post wiping everything.
In case you want to go back to stock Gingerbread, try this:
- Google "GT-I9100_ITV_ I9100XILA3_I9100OXIKK1_I9100XWKI1.zip" and download the file name I provided.
- Extract the .tar file that comes with the .zip file using 7zip or WinRAR.
- Download ODIN 1.85 and open the Odin_1.85.exe file.
- You should see a box with several options. Choose "PDA" and select the extracted .tar file.
- Reboot your device into Download Mode by switching your device off and pressing Volume Down + Home button + Power button until you get a warning screen, and then select volume up to "install custom OS".
- Connect your phone to the PC and the ODIN window should show your device inside a yellow box with "COM:04" or any number.
- After selecting the extracted .tar in PDA field, press on start flashing and the process should take some time.
If you are getting a bootloop, boot into recovery and wipe data/factory reset then reboot device.
In case you want CyanogenMod 7:
- Download CyanogenMod 7 for your device on get.cm and place it on your device's SD card.
- After install finishes, turn off your device and from your PC, download "siyah-2.6.14-CWM.zip" and extract the .tar file and flash it in ODIN window by clicking on PDA and selecting the extracted file. The device should reboot with android 2.3.7 installed. Hope I hepled :fingers-crossed:

the right download mode, the one you have to use with Odin is obtained by pressing Vol - / OK button /the bigger one at the center) / Power
try to use it after starting Odin to see if it recognized by it. Use Odin 4.2.8 with Europa 1.0.ops and ClockworkMod-Galaxy5-v0.5.tar file, no other one: for my personal experience, others ClockworkMod recovery versions (0.6, for example) don't work.. they just freeze on recovery.img download process!!
hope this could help you solving the problem, let me know!
- - - - - - - - - - - - -

adb recognize it? did you try
Code:
adb reboot
or
Code:
adb recovery reboot
Searching the web I found a reply to a question very near yours (a user flash trough Odin but it use APBOOT for another phone):

I think you have the same identical problem I run into when i installed the Android SDK (first time I did that by the zip archive): before all that, my laptop was able to recognized and connect to the Corby without problems.. I was able to use Odin and flash both CWM both stocks rom..
My troubles started when i decided to install the Android SDK: I installed the Java JDK, first of all, then i downloaded the zip version of the Android SDK: I unzipped into a folder and started the SDK Manager letting it install the 6 or 7 default packages it required..
After that I was not able anymore to successfully flash anything with Odin! I think that the problem is the USB Google driver, indeed!!
I try to uninstall the driver by unpicking it into the SDK Manager but it's still there.. and if I try to manually uninstall it by the Control Panel, at the next reboot it installs itself again and again!!
Just to be sure I install the Android SDK into an VirtualBox emulated machine but this time I don't install the USB driver and Odin stills work!!
So, I don't know what you can do into your PC to solve that, actually.. I'm still studying the problem but I usually don't use Windows so I quite forget it.. now I can run Odin into my Slackware, so..
What I can suggest you is to try with another PC or laptop, for now..
EDIT: I forget to say: obviously the question mark into your first screenshot means that the driver doesn't work properly.
Last thing: the right driver is not the one you shot, but is called Samsung USB or something like that and you must find it among the USB devices (when the phone is connected, naturally. If you don't have it: did you install Kies or the USB Samsung drivers? But I'm sure yes)!!

bootloop samsung i5500
good morning head see I have a serious problem and would like to know if I can help smooth yo I got to free my samsung i5500 with the method that I show below:
and the super decompress a folder called oneclick ADB is copied to the root directory ie C:
2 - Within SuperOneClick files windows open a console (Start> Run> cmd) and
cd wrote .. twice and then, cd adb, then enter the following
-adb shell
- su
- cd /
- mount -o remount,rw -t rootfs rootfs /
- mkdir /efs
- mount -o nosuid,ro,nodev -t vfat /dev/block/stl5 /efs
- cat /efs/mits/perso.txt
anotamos el codigo de 8 digitos
- umount /efs
3 - Place the chip from another company and enter the lock code we had written down and ready.
actually showed me on screen release the eight digits. the question is that when you turn off the cel to place another sincard and stays lit in a boot loop that is constantly cycles on and off and not pass the screen that says SAMSUNG.
I'm trying to repair the cell with this method and after discovering that I have to keep precionada turn the MENU + HOME + POWER on screen I get "emergency Dload Mode (ARM9 mode), run the odin and detects the device performed all steps you mentioned and well but after hours in performance of odin never goes out of this line "
<1> setup connection ... ".
then it would ask if I'm missing some file or am I doing wrong. I have the Samsung i5500 cell movistar Venezuela
Hello everyone! Today I downloaded and installed in Rom manager a recovery different from my model (stupid), turned off the phone and now will not start, nor the downloading mode... is there any solution? In other forums told me that there is no solution, is this right?
Sorry, my english is too bad...
I forgot to say that does not show the symbol of the battery when charging, either the PC or power...
You found any solution...???

Im new to android and need some help.
I have a s3 and it shows that im on the latest version, however the latest version has a brightness slider in the notification bar and i dont.
Is there a way of getting this on my phone?
Please explain clearly as all this is new to me
And how do i flash a custom rom and which one is the best??
Seems like u r talking about some custom ROM (not sure)
Any ways u can root ur mobile by flashing clock work mode and installing super user or supersu
To install custom ROM you may read information on how to flash it, on the page itself
Just have a look at S3 development page
(All stable ROMs are there)
Which one is best?
It completely depends on you
What u want on ur devices

You need to download the latest firmware and flash it on to your phone via Odin typically OTA updates are slower. look through the general threads and find the one for your region and or just download the latest UK one which seems to be the best FW: LG8 is what I'm using.
Have you installed a custom rom or rooted your sgs3 before? & is this phone new or have you bought from a friend? If the answer is No & the phone is brand new, go into the android development section & look in the sticky section & find the post on how to root, unlock sim & install drivers to PC! There is a easy 1 which after installing drivers its just a matter of pressing the right buttons to unlock sim, root, cwm, install busy box or what ever else you need to do before flashing a custom rom.... & the main thing before installing that is making a backup via cwm!!!! Then & only then your ready to flash your 1st rom, choose which one you want cause there's loads, backup your SD card to the PC in case you have any data you don't wanna lose, put the custom rom zip on you internal memory on on your SD card! Then go into recovery mode & wipe factory data & install zip from SD card, select the custom rom zip you choose for the sgs3 & once its loaded the zip & finished reboot! Now enjoy your new rom & if you plan on installing any theme zips only do this after you have rebooted the phone again & not before! If anything goes wrong enter recovery mode & flash the backup you made earlyer after you rooted your phone. I know it sounds like this all will take ages but it should only take you 10mins - 30mins to do from start to finish! Maybe even less time.... I'm just covering all bases because its your 1st time flashing a custom rom!
Hope this helps you mate & if it does don't forget to press the thanks button if it has :0) welcome to xda & the world of flashing & Modding!!!!

If you just want to install the latest update..just connect your phone to kies via ur pc and check for updates..sometimes ota updates are late..
If you want to do it yourself..it is a multistage process..
Step 1: root your phone..go and check the stickies in this section..
Step 2: install a custom recovery..it generally gets installed when you root ur phone..the function of a recovery is provide an interface between your bootloader and ur rom ..in simple terms..so that u don't mess with important stuff..
Step 3: find the best custom rom which fits ur tastes..u can either install a stock rom or modded stock rom..find it in android development section..for aosp roms, compiled from Google binaries directly go to original android development section..
There is no best custom rom..all roms are good depending on what u want..start checking them out
Step 4: installing any rom in a nutshell will require u to put the zip file on sdcard..reboot into recovery : volume up + home+ power button..wipe data/factory reset->wipe cache->advanced->wipe dalvik cache..
Choose zip from sdcard->navigate to the zip file and install
After that wipe cache and dalvik cache again..
Step 5: reboot system now
Uff..it was difficult to type this much on a phone
Hit thanks if I helped..

Ho deciso di installare una Rom
BEFORE YOU INSTALL A ROM
KITKAT IS A SYSTEM THAT SAMSUNG HAS DEDICATED TO PHONES THAT STARTS FROM 2 GIGA RAM
KITKAT IS A SYSTEM THAT THE DEVELOPERS ARE ABLE TO RUN ON 1 GIGA RAM
Firstly you must understand that until a few weeks ago Samsung has put in a drawer the project to bring KitKat on our beloved S3 and then thanks to some developers today this project is slowly becoming more and more concrete, when you download a rom you have to understand how many hours and how much work puts a developer to realize a Rom, in my opinion we should give respect to those developers who devote their time and their terminals to this passion, and also they let us dream that such a project is about to become reality.
So my dear friends whenever you make a request or have any questions think always about respect, kindness, don’t claim and don’t be arrogant because ur asking somthing to a persone that developes for passion and is this passion that makes him to take the decision to share it with us and with you.
One more question between friends, how many updates Samsung pull out before they make a stable firmware? How many months we expect sometimes an update that never seems to arrive? Well these developers have started about 4 weeks ago a project that seems to weigh only 700/800/ or 1000MB but in terms of development its really a huge weigh.
A big thanks to XDA and all developers.

INSTALLIAMO
(2)
Incominciamo dal wipe data/factory reset (dare comando)
Clicchiamo su wipe cache partition ("""""""""""")
Clicchiamo su advance/wipe dalvik cache ("""""""""""")
Clicchiamo go Back
Clicchiamo mount and storace e ci portiamo sui format:
Clicchiamo format/system (dare comando)
Clicchiamo format/cache ("""""""""""")
Clicchiamo format/preload ("""""""""""")
Clicchiamo format/boot ("""""""""""")
No pulizia modem
Clicchiamo /data and/data/media (/sdcard)("""""""""""")
PULIZIA DEL TERMINALE FINITA: (Importante per chi arriva da 4.1.2/4.3).
(3)
Immettiamo """"""""""""""" dell'accaunt Samsung.
Terminiamo la configurazione guidata.
So what happened is: there was a new update which I wanted to install through OTA but it gave me an error when it finished saying that it can't unpack the update and then it goes back to 0%, so then I decided to install 5.1 because maybe that would work, but it became even worse because I didnt make a backup of the original ROM and 5.1 didn't detect any update in OTA, so I searched google for the original ROM and I couldn't find it, not even on the manufacturer's website (https://allview.ro, maybe I'm just blind, if so could you search it for me lol because I never used their website until this happened so I don't know where to find the ROM, if there is any on their website) but then I found my "original" version but it wasn't really original because it was from telekom and the telekom version didn't have any new update and I want the new update so badly lol. Btw, I'm from Romania

Ola pessoal, tudo bem?
2- Descompacte ele em uma pasta simples (ex. 'C:\motog7')
2- Execute o arquivo 'flashfile.bat' e espere (pode demorar). (Ele reinicia sozinho)
Boa sorte pessoal!

Hello everyone, everything good?
I looked in dozens of places, how to recover my phone with firmware / bootloader / etc... all messed up...
It doesn't matter what you did on your cell phone.
If your phone's fast mode booting is working (hold Volume '-' next to power button ) this will work for you.
1- Download the 'motog7-recovery.zip' file (you already have the '.img', adb.exe, fastboot.exe, etc..)
2- Unzip it into a simple folder (eg 'C:\motog7')
2- Run the 'flashfile.bat' file and wait (may take a while). (It resets itself)
Good luck guys!

And, could you tell me if is there any specification about the phone we should know?

Algorithm

3) flash the firmware from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fastboot-unofficial-9-0-android-one-port-for-nokia-7.3980067/
4) Reboot into fastboot, boot from TWRP, format data, systems. Reboot to fastboot
5) download PixelExperience_Plus_arm64-ab-slim-12.1-20220825-UNOFFICIAL.img.xz from https://github.com/ponces/treble_build_pe/releases/tag/v415.1-plus . Extraxt xz
6) fastboot flash system PixelExperience_arm64-ab-slim-12.1-20220823-UNOFFICIAL.img.xz
