Ok thanks !
any link to the available cwm
Wait a min. What do u mean by saying that cwm does nt work??
I was able to boot into stock android recovery in grand 2 using 3 button combo . ( vol up + home + power ).
Make sure you are flashing cwm recovery converted into .tar format using odin .....
I dont own grand 2 but I check these in my relatives device.
Just check carefully, I dont think bootloader has got something to be done with flashing recovery.
Yep u needcto unlock bootloader to flash roms but not while flashing rec via odin.

It's not bricked, I think you need to reinstall a recovery. I recommend TWRP 2.5 instead of 2.6 because 2.5 has no bugs. Try to restore your nandroid backup (if you haven't any try one of these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324815 and choose your cid) and then flash SuperSU: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
PS: you can use the tool for installing custom recovery, only choose ''your own recovery'' and click on the recovery image

Dude if its saying not rooted you were supposed to flash the supersu.zip in twrp and then update it then you would have root privleges you flashed a rom without root the supersu didnt you? And it basically bricked it so hold vol down and power boot into h boot go to recovery it will boot you into twrp check to see if you do have that supersu.zip if you have it flash it and you dont have s-off look in that rom package and find the kernel (boot.img) flash it and wipe your dalvic cache and your cache and it should boot into that rom but if you dont have that supersu.zip you mite have to side load it then flash it
sent from my one x+ if i helped you out hit that thanks button

It shows a dialogue saying bootloader is unlocked . But in the phone it still shows a locked screen and also showing as s-off
I have root and i am able to use titanium backup.
I have also tried to flash twrp recovery.. but not able to do so.
Can somebody please point me in the right direction..

Sure I will try it in the evening.
You can definitely Unlock it using the HTCDEV process , I have a done this. Any ways if you are able to flash a ROM then there is no reason to get it Unlocked, more over S-OFF gives you full control over the device but again it also increases the risk of getting your phone bricked so make sure you use it wisely (knowing what you flash) , so I will say why to beg HTC for some thing they have already provided.
One more thing S-OFF device means you dont need to flash boot.img separately so you dont need to use your PC to flash roms no more.
Waiting to know about your progress on flashing the ROM ..

I have now successfully flashed a Rom..initially I tried it without flashing the boot.img and it entered a boot loop.
Then I installed flashify and flashed boot.img that came with the Rom. Then the Rom is working now.
The boot loader is still locked. Has twrp .

so you mean to say you failed to install the boot.img from the custom recovery ? well that is weird, one more thing since you were in boot loop how did you manage to install flashiffy !
if you may please include the complete flashing steps , will be helpful for my experiments.

Initially I flashed the Rom alone and it went into bootloop and all buttons became unresponsive .so I waited till the battery ran out and the phone switched off. Then I recharged , entered recovery by vol down + power button.. I had the backup there . So I restored back up.. then phone rebooted normally.. and I flashed boot.img by flashify just because I didn't know any other method... Then from recovery I wiped dalvik cache and system .. flashed the new Rom.. reeboot and fine..
Feel free to ask for any more clarification..
Ok folks, Here is Clockworkmod Recovery with Swipe enabled for your Grand 2.
Note: No one but yourself is responsible for what you do to your device.
People to Thank
koush - for his awesome recovery.
Shabbypenguin - For firguring out it was missing the dtb.
bailboxer - for providing needed dumps and contacting me.
Known Issues
doesnt boot due to qcom boot security.
Post and let me know!!!
How to install with Odin
(USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
Start Odin3-vX.X.exe
Click the PDA button, and select cwm-grand2.tar
Put your phone in download mode (turn off phone, then hold VolDown+Home+Power to boot - if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, or run adb reboot download command)
(USB) Connect the phone to your computer
Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
Click the Start button
Wait for Android to boot
Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you goofed)
NOTE: Sometimes the device does *not* boot into recovery mode. Just do the entire procedure again if this happens. If it still will not install, make sure that in Odin "Auto Reboot" is not checked. Then after flashing, pull the battery, and boot with VolUp+Home+Power button to boot into recovery manually. This will start the install process.

The recovery doesn't boot.. It gets redirected to download mode.
Probably because of secured bootloader..
Safestrap might work!!..
so before we flash we do to remove cwm recovery from the tar file? or we flash this tar? .. and also where is the stock recovery ? if this cwm not work we can get back to the stock recovery.
reply very soon

if u have already lost the stock recovery here is the link to download
To install follow the same method suggested by PlayfulGod

Just was informed that this device appears to be locked down with knox. Knox is Samsungs latest locking method. Some devices with knox dont restrict booting modded boot images (boot/recovery) and some are locked down tighter than grannies panties. The Grand 2 seems to be locked down.
Thanks
Thanks for your efforts..
hope some day we could break Knox security layer :good:

There is no knox security in system and in bootloader like in note2 , S4 and S5 devices .Those devices has knox trip indicator in download mode luckily our device don't has that indicator .Also our device root is supported by @Chainfire .It's just the qualcomm secure boot that restrict any custom recovery and kernel to work in our device .The safestrap recovery can work only if some recognised dev can help us out .

Recently my moto E 1st generation mobile android os has crashed. I have given in mobile repair shop and they are telling that its not accepting software. always showing moto symbol itself when it restarted. could anyone tell me how to recover the os or reinstall
note: my mobile is not rooted.
even can i install android version.... please respond
Yes definately you can install android
Just root your phone and install custom recovey like twrp and then install any custom rom which can be downloaded from xda
It's easy
I repaired a non-rooted moto e with the same problem. you have to check your phone goes into fastboot mode (switch off the phone, press volume down + power button for 10 secs). Then you have to unlock the bootloader, install twrp and flash whichever os u want . For unlocking bootloader and installing twrp there are so many threads in xda

Bootloader is a set of instructions to boot your android operating system and kernel. Bootloader runs first when android is booting.
Flashing custom recovery needs unlocked bootloader. May be your bootloader is unlocked. Because Samsung have unlocked bootloader.

Thank you. Just another question regarding TWRP and Booting to recovery mode! .. According to YouTube search - I've learnt to flash TWRP on SM N910G through Odin - as you might already know Which involves going into Downloading Mode and flashing TWRP and later removing the Battery and Then rebooting to Recovery mode ..only then TWRP shows up ( I'm thinking removing battery and rebooting is only specific for N910G , I'm only thinking) .... but here is the problem (finally ?) ... When this is Done. .. when I again Reboot to Recovery Mode --- TWRP doesn't show Up .!! ..Stock Recovery shows up!.. I don't know Why? Why not TWRP? ?.... ( Again I'm Very New To Flashing Stuff ?) Thank you again.
