Since I upgraded to Kit Kat, the apps for LTE toggle do not work. I'd like to be able to toggle LTE back and forth without reboot. Help!
Sent from my SELF
Not just a toggle but this app will allow you to change to any mode in radio without rebooting. .. This includes lte only https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cc.signalinfo

Hey is anyone able to access mobile network in the settings menu? I can only check it on or off. I could go into every other one..I want to know if this is for everyone or just me thanks
I'm running ics 3.6 deck
I can't access another settings menu in mobile networks either, I think they just removed the menu.

I guess Virgin mobile has no mobile network settings so they didnt include that in the ROM
Download apn shortcut from play store. Allows you to go where you need.
Google + pertinent info = results
On gsm version you click the word for the network settings wich is the left side for further settings or the toggle on the right for on/off.. not sure if it is the same for you though...

Yeah... I need to get access to the network settings because when I roam, I have no mobile data.
If I'm not mistaking, I believe booster shot ROM has that working, with like gsm options in there for some reason

it has GSM options because the Kingdom (Evo Design) is a world phone.
I am looking for the system.db on my droid dna . I cannot seem to locate it. I am trying to edit this to remove the pesky WiFi notification. And yes I am rooted. Any help would be appreciated.

Um that's not what you edit to remove the wifi notification. And most custom roms that you download have the wifi notification removed already.
Go to settings>wifi turn off auto turn on , and click don't notify and you shouldn't see it anymore.
I don't believe we are talking about the same thing. I want to remove the nag from when you click the WiFi widget to turn it on instead of it opening up the screen to click the switch on.

So you want a wifi toggle switch? One that turns it on and off without the settings interface?
I just want to use the default widget which matches the other stock widgets without downloading a widget add on and yes.

Did anyone get the mysterious wifi toggle after the update? I don't on mine, and I forgot to check my wife's phone before she left, but I'm sure its another thing Verizon added in the log, but didn't add to the device.
reads like a list of what we "blame" on our dev community. :laugh:

Yes, I have it on my 32gb model.
I am not sure of this, but it is likely a factory reset could be needed to gain the WiFi toggle

That's very odd because they clearly state a toggle was added in the change log. .What if you click the edit button, does it show a wifi toggle in the toggle settings screen?
I have no toggle. I tried all the settings I could think of. Im stumped

can u provide the factory image. How did you flash it since were no longer rooted? through ODIN? does your wifi hotspot work without subscription check? Heard it works for those on data plans and not on unlimited
Something else I've noticed. I used to use floating notifications, but stopped due to the talkback bug. After the update, I installed FN just to give it another try, and the bug is gone.
Anyone else notice this?
Also, to the guy that asked, I have the wifi toggle and use the 16g version.
I updated (after numerous tries) with the Verizon BS software, and of course, don't have the toggle (its not really the end of the world that I don't), I just find it odd that others do, and others don't. I have the 16GB, and a few who say they have the toggle have stated they have the 32GB (that shouldn't make a difference anyhow). I guess if I get bored enough later, I'll wipe my device and see if it brings it back (just so those who don't have it, and *want* it, know how to *maybe* get it back).
I don't have the WiFi toggle either. Quick thought...
Those of you that don't have the Wi-Fi toggle. Did you rearrange the order?
Those of you that do have the toggle, were you still on the default order?
Might be something to it. I rearranged my toggles...

Looks like a bunch of useless garbage. Stay rooted my friends.

Just got off the phone with VZ about the Wi-Fi not being included in the notification bar as stated in the changelog. They tell me Samsung is aware and will update the update in September or we could try a factory reset which will resend the update. Just repeating what I was told.
I rooted my OTA VRUAME7 Verizon S4 but can't seem to get wifi tether to work. I've tried both of the newest Wifi Tether for Root (3.3 beta 2 and 3.4 experimental 1). Changing the device-profile to S4 doesn't help. It will start up and say "started with errors." Checking the log results in a "no log file" error.
I also hunted around with SQLite Editor trying to find an entitlement check, and came up empty (to use the built-in mobile hotspot).
Has anyone successfully figured out how to WiFi Tether on a rooted OTA VRUAME7?
Thanks in advance! :good: :good:
To add the hotspot toggle:
Download app => Click Me
Got to => Settings storage
Click => settings.db
Click => system
Search for "notification"
Highlight => notification_panel_active_app_list
Click the edit "pencil"
In the "value" section add "WiFiHotspot;" anywhere you like...
Restart phone
Note: Make sure your list ends with a semi-colon
If you see the warning screen, just hit home.

I'm not referring to a toggle. I'm referring to successfully sharing my 4g with another device using wifi tethering.

I've heard that most of those apps work. You just open the app then hit the home button. Voila! Lol

That's what this mod does...adding the toggle enables the hotspot. Just hit home if you see the Verizon warning to bypass it. Works, just used it on my S4.

Could it be any easier? So the only danger here is exceeding your data limit?

I had a similar problem in the past from cm. I had to go back to a touchwiz rom and then use Adam Outler's hidden menu enabler and reset the radio. It factory resets the phone FYI.

I too have the same problem. I restored my phone back to stock. Still would not come out of roaming mode. I'll try the hidden menu and see if that works.
