Yesterday, I attempted a dirty flash to the latest CM11 nightly. Upon boot, I got a load of APN errors and lots of other instability. Ok, I didn't even know what that meant at the time but...no problem. Wipe and reflash.
Everything seemed to be working fine, got everything reinstalled. SMS, phone calls, data etc works just like it should. Until I tried to send a MMS today. Gave me the same APN error. Doesn't matter if I am on WiFi or not. So I reset default settings on the APN list under settings. No change. I've also spend a lot of time searching looking for the correct VZW APN settings - tried just about everything I could find with no success.
Here are a few screens of the current APN settings.

Anyone experienced this? Solutions? Thanks...
Well, after doing some reading over the dev section, seems I'm not the only person with the problem. Now to just get a few most posts so I can contribute......
It was suggested that I change my sms app from the default CM11 messenger. I tried Handcent and Hangouts, no luck.
Have you tried a clean flash

Had the same thing happen, do a clean flash, and uninstall Google Play Movies App, worked for me after that.

Anyone else getting the issue .. when I uncheck sync in settings.. it checks its self ... no matter how many times I uncheck it ... it always checks its self back up again.
Had this same issue on bionix-v 1.2
I'm on flagship4 now..
Any solutions?
Wipe out dalvik cache thru recovery if that doesn't work Odin back. Then reflash.
I don't think people would like to help u if you post in develop section.
You would get more answer in q&a section.

I have before in the past and got no results..
This is the reason why I posted it here.
I cant reproduce this. Which sync box are you trying to uncheck? Is the apps auto sync button still ticked while you are un-ticking a specific account?

It's the auto sync button.. the one below background data..
I'm on Eugene's 35 kernel.. starting to wonder if it might be that.
Don't see how the kernel would relate to this specific sync issue
I'm on flagship and it always rechecks tmobile contacts in display options. I don't even know why they were added in the first place but yeah they eventually show again. Wont allow me to remove that account either. Sync itself stays off tho. Well the box stays unchecked I should say.

Delete the apk, it's completely useless. As for sync enabling itself again..I have no issues whatsoever, but I deleted the tmo apk.
Hi
I can't receive or send any kind of MMS
Well, I receive it, but its stuck at "Downloading". And when I try to send one its stuck at "Sending.."
Factory reset doesnt help, flashing stock ROM etc. Doesnt work either.
Edit: Comes up a message "Cannot download message atm."
Edit 2: When thinking over it, it has never worked

It is becourse you are on wifi, mms can only be send and recived with the standard phone connects edge,3g,4g and so on.
I'm having the same issue, and have spent many hours on the phone with my provider vodafone uk, tried new sim, various mms settings etc, still no joy.
Your APN settings are incorrect. Ask your network provider to send you the settings for your phone via email and you can follow their detailed instructions for putting them back in. You won't be able to get historically received MMS messages but all future ones will then work.

Thanks for the answers people, it worked as soon as I activated data traffic (Tried after flashing Oxygen rom, dont know if that fixed it)

I had the same problem and had it fixed by having my telco send a 'configration settings' file over the air. This then added the correct APN details for MMS.
Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone else was having a problem with the Stock HTC SMS/Backup feature included in most roms for the 3D. Here's a picture of what I'm experiencing.

}
The problem is that when ever I restore the backups I've done after flashing a new rom, it seems to create additional apostrophe's where ever they are used.
Example
"I'm getting ready"
becomes
"I''m getting ready"
and then the next time I back up restore it's become
"I'''m getting ready"
untill it's basically "I'''''''''''''''m getting ready" and then I have to delete everything and start over.
does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated as this is one of those ugly bugs that makes me want to shoot myself.
I've been having that same issue for a while now.
i have a solution.
stop doing that.

I'd rather not have to install a sms app to do this when my stock sms app supports the function. Thanks for the advice though.

Sms backup and send them to your Gmail account. Then there is no way to loose them

I use SMS Backup +, but the stock sense function was just convenient. I stopped using it because of all the apostrophes.

When I'm in wifi the download arrow is constantly blinking. On for a sec then off. I don't have any push accounts. When on just 3g it doesn't do that at all, no data transfered unless I open a app or so something. It's murdering battery constantly connecting. I downloaded network traffic to try and see what is usually the data but it just shows "system". Using "system pannel". The data transfers are only at a few KB/s speeds so it's not large data files.
I've tried force closing all apps and it doesn't do anything. I have downloaded no apps that need constant sync. Gmail sync is stopped.

Do you use YouTube and do you have pre loading option on?

Cool I didn't even know that existed. But no, that option is unchecked.
I'll do a factory reset if needed but I don't it to come to that.
The data speeds are miniscule so it's like some odd transfer or authentication.

Now that you mention it, mine seems to be downloading quite a bit on Wi-Fi as well. My battery life is pretty good and it doesn't seem to be hurting anything. So I'm not worried about it. But just wanted to let you know mine does that too when I'm on Wi-Fi.

Can anyone help me with this. my i605 just suddenly went into roaming. it was rooted and unlocked running slimkat rom at the time. figuring settings problems i restored to the stock rom and still the same problem. so i odined back to the stock 4.1.2 firmware and still in roaming mode.
Hi,
Hopefully your IMEI is still there.... I found these threads through a Google search. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453679

Looks like doing a factory reset after an Odin back to stock has fixed this issue for some people. Another thread said to do the factory reset within the ROM settings (not in recovery). Maybe you could try reset it both ways to see if either works. Good luck.
