In my Sgs3 I used to have a coma selected as a default function for a button on the left side of a spacebar. Generally if you hold that button and select a function you want from a popup menu, it used to be that button selected function until you changed it. Now, for some reason, few days ago my samsung decided it will be a microphone button regardless of what I use in a popup menu. It drives me crazy, because I dont use voice recognition. I use comas quite often on the other hand. I would love to know what caused this sudden change of hearts. Ideas anzone_

Recently I am having problems with my phone, and am wondering if it is a software or hardware problem.
I have tried loading the TNT4 rom & WS5SE roms (this is a g4), and there is no change (im on the Tnt4 one now).
The touchscreen works okay, but the soft key buttons do not. The right bottom one is okay, the left one triggers the right one, the send button show the letters "uytga" on the phone screen when i press them, the end button shows "mn" or something, the camera button works perfect, the comm manager button is the same as the voice button (even when i map it with a program it says "button 4").
It even happens on the soft keys on the keyboard when i slide it out.
Also I used Start-sSPL to put the roms on. Is there a way I can get the OEM one back on or fix the button problem?
Any help will be appreciated.
Hi
I've just downloaded Gameboid for the hero, and it's great! However, when using certain ROMS the trackball just doesn't cut it for movement, and hence, I wanted to change it, so that the Menu, End, Search and Back keys handle Up, Right, Down and Left respectively. However, whenever I press End, the phone locks, and whenever I press menu, the menu comes up.
Is there an app or registry edit that can stop this from happening just in this app?
Thanks
Since its a...hold the home button, then Swype up to the virtual icon that pops up to activate Google Now.
Any ideas as to what they will do? I knew this button thing was a bad idea. :cyclops:
I think (though I may be mistaken) you can also access Google Now the same way you access voice search (the mike icon on the search bar on the home screen). This would obviously be much less convenient, though.
In my opinion they should kick s-voice to the curb! but thats just me
That's right...double tap brings up Voice. Maybe that's what they will do. Sucks that because of S Voice...there is a slight pause after pressing the button once to get back Home.
simple, replace long-press menu.
They might implement re-assigning the home button function, JB Voice looks pretty sweet.
My girlfriend's just taken my Samsung Galaxy S2 off my hands and asked me if she could use the 'menu' button at the bottom-left of the phone to dial a contact, and the 'back' button at the bottom-right to end a call, so she can do everything with one hand.
Is there an app that lets you do this, or perhaps puts the 'dial' and 'end call' functions right at the bottom corners of the screen, does anyone know?
I have unlocked a lot of android phones before but this "A02s" is currently kicking my a$$. When I attempt to turn on TalkBack (where screen switches to "Getting started with TalkBack" and allows the "L" gesture commands) it instead gets a message box on upper screen saying "Voice Assistant turned on. To turn it off, quickly press and release the vol up and power buttons.". The "L" commands don't work for instance: bottom left to right then up "L" gesture brings up Voice Commands. Is there any other way to get to the browser that I don't know of? In my experience, they always leave enough wiggle room to get to the browser & settings but this one makes me wonder.
Try formating memory and cache in recovery it works for me sometimes if a phones acting up
Like that. Also i recently just unlocked a a32 and it too kicked my ass in a different way lol to activate talk back have to hold both volume keys and and not the power and volume up...dont know if that helps
