Bought one of these phones and very happy with it. In every model I like to have a spare housing because I hate marks on phone (when I have them i like to replace housing). Already managed to buy the frame on ebay but I don't find battery cover anywhere . Any of you know where I can buy them? Many thanks

Like the title says I cracked the screen on my g2 and I want to know if I can just replace the digitizer or do I have to buy both the LCD and digitizer. Also is Samsung good at repairs and will they just repair it or give me a new phone?

go on eBay they go for cheap and they come with a tool kit so its easy for you to do it your self I'm sure Samsung would charge u a lot more then What the phone is worth

Super glue. **** fixes everything!
OK good I was just making sure I could replace just the glass because so many other places say you have to do both the lcd and digitizer and Samsung charges 149 for that repair.

Is it nearly impossible to change just the glass because the digitizer and LCD and glued shut together. If you attempt to change the class, you will easily damage the LCD. I would try to find a broken phone on craiglist or eBay and use it for parts.

I tried to replace just the top glass on an Infuse.......didn't work but changing the LCD/digitizer assembly was easy.

Unless you are really sure of what you are getting into, don't try it.
Its much easier to get the screen with the digitizer and the middle frame separate and get the 2 bottom buttons to fit all together rather than trying to glue the screen back on.
Even simpler to get the assembly all together which is about 150£. And then all you do is replace the motherboard to the new screen. Done in 2 minutes.

If you only have a 50$ then try the glass.

I cracked my screen a few weeks ago and I've been looking for a replacement. Nothing on eBay seems to be too decent plus they want 65%+ the cost of a new SGS2 for the screen and digitzer. Do any of you have a phone with a motherboard that gave up the ghost you'd be willing to sell me at a decent price?
I'm trying to hold on to this phone until something much better comes along (it sure as hell isn't the GS4) and I'd appreciate your help in keeping my older device trucking along.

You can get a used screen for 90 or new for 120 On eBay. Buy a screen, unlock it and sell it on eBay for 160+ when you get a new phone

This hasn't been my experience; every place by me (Atlanta) won't touch my screen because it's Samsung and they all hate the way the screen is attached to the digitizer. So I've resigned myself to just dealing with it. It's only noticeable at certain angles, but it runs straight across the screen.

I understand most people prefer not to spend money on items off of eBay or Amazon, but they have it cheaper than anywhere else. Most of the electronics you buy off eBay are from China (Cheaply made), but that "idiot" you got a quote from, probably bought the screen of eBay and is trying to make a $150-$200 profit off of you.

What are you buying from Amazon? Everyone is saying it is nearly impossilbe to replace the digitizer alone. Do you have any experience with this? Is it possible to replace the whole screen instead?

Yes I got it from Amazon, and successfully replaced it "just the cover screen".
It hasn't any connectivity... Need to be patient as possible till replacing process specially when you remove the old one.
